  1. I love the Eva/Kat feud! Why does Andre hang out at the hospital so much?
  2. Exactly! That's how I understand it from what I've read online and what Kenya claims. They've got some explaining to do.
  3. I'm up to the end of May 1995 and just watched JFP's final episode. Curious to see what change I'll see, if at all. Eve just died and that was very sad, although I never really got to know her well, sadly. Ed is clearly upset, but he followed through with her wishes of not being hooked up to breathing tubes. Rick seems really upset and I'm trying to figure out what Rick and Eve's connection was from before. Roger just staged a car accident and is faking amnesia and I'm here for it! LOL Although I just started May 29th and the role is being played by a new actor now! I hope this is temporary. I don't like Fletcher, so I love to side with Roger and his antics through this storyline. I'm trying to have an open mind, but please make this ghost Reva storyline make sense. I could buy Josh seeing her and dealing with unresolved grief, but now she just showed up and is visibly talking to Annie alone, pretending to be a nurse. I don't get it. I really like Bridgett and finally she's getting more material in '95, but she's tied to this random guy named Skunk, and he's a terrible actor. Hopefully he doesn't last long, but I enjoy seeing her struggle with being a mom and being young/dating. The actress is really good too, when given the opportunity. Mindy just left the country and from what I read online, this was Crampton's last episode (May 26, 1995). What a very unceremonious exit, wow. She just tells Josh she's leaving for a business meeting overseas randomly at Eve's memorial and then she's gone. I guess she either pissed someone off BTS or asked to leave pretty abruptly and they just said fine, later?
  4. Agree with you all, Britt is awful, crazy, thirsty and needs to go. I can't believe we lost Kenya for her. I also don't understand why production said she didn't threaten Kenya, when clearly she did and it's all there for us to hear/see. Britt needs to go.
  5. How dare you! Why didn't fans like Lucy? Was it the character and her backstory I missed/haven't seen yet, or did they just not warm up to the fans?
  6. I was gone for the weekend and just catching up on comments here, but this makes me sad! I guess not being an 80s-90s GL watcher before, I have a bit of a different perspective or feeling towards these characters that I just got introduced to. But you're right, if all the other soaps were having rape storylines, maybe this wasn't as impactful back in the day. But yeah, I'm really enjoying Lucy, she's so sweet, and I love how Alan-Michael has fallen in love with her and wants to protect her. Ahhh - makes sense with the GL burn out. That's a heavy Y&R group to go against, but man, I still think Satra deserved a nom. Her scenes were really powerful to me.
  7. Y'all - how did Sonia Satra not even get nominated for an Emmy in 1995? She was dynamite in this rape storyline. These two scenes alone should have gotten her a nom or win! May 11, 1995 at the 14-minute mark when Lucy talks to Alan-Michael about being raped: May 16, 1995 at the 9-minute mark when she tells Buzz about being raped: There are many other great scenes with other characters during this time, but those two stood out for sure!
  8. You didn't like the Natalie/Janet storyline?!? Dang That's what got me hooked as a kid. That and Hayley/Brian, with Brian climbing through the window to rescue Hayley from Janet and BANG! I was just going to comment - Angelique!! I don't remember liking her that much, but I really enjoyed the storyline generally. I have this vivid memory of Helga wheeling Angelique through Wildwind. How mysterious and gothic that was!
  9. ^Wow - the quality of that old episode is amazing! I wish we had that quality for these 90s episodes.
  10. Ohh - what years were you pre-teen and enjoying them... and what years did you consider all those to start their downward descent? 😲 Ceara was killed?? Wow. I never followed Loving, so had no idea the crossover or history there. It took me 32 years to learn that Ceara is dead haha.
  11. That's how I'm starting to feel... which may be showing the real reason why he's being replaced.
  12. Love to hear it and totally agree. I really hope they don't let the show divide their friendship next season. I love their friendship.
  13. Totally get that - Season 3 annoyed me, especially with Heather and her black eye. Did you end up liking Angie this past season? I was very much on the fence with her until this past season and she won me over finally.
  14. Mike Manning is not that bad of an actor! I remember watching him on The Real World DC long ago, when he was struggling with being bisexual and coming out. I never realized he got into acting, so this is my first show seeing him in and he's improving and doing well.
  15. Not Kat setting up cameras to catch Eva!!! Wow.
  16. Sara Bibel day - she was always one of my favorites on AMC. Hope we have a good episode. Already love Naomi/Hayley... this scene was needed weeks ago.
  17. 100% You dropped SLC? I was also mad the way they treated Monica and didn't let her back, but this past season was SOOO good. I also still love OC, but I don't mind Tamra as much as most people do. I'm ready for Miami to return.
  18. This part. I'm new to GL, so I didn't see Reva/Josh in the 80's when they were a couple, and if I had, maybe her return in 1995 that I'm currently watching would change my mind... but right now, this ghost Reva is off-putting. The story doesn't even really make sense, but the way she's talking to Josh about Annie is annoying. I was really getting into the Josh/Annie pairing, and now Reva is haunting Josh, turning him into a loud crazy man, and they're both being rude to Annie. Reva is pulling rugs from under her, making her trip, throwing water on her and telling Josh she's no good for him and their relationship is 'on the road to nowhere'. I was so excited knowing Reva's return would start during my '95 watch, but so far, I'm not loving it 😕 I'll hold final judgment until I see how it plays how and whether they explain how she's haunting him while still being alive.
  19. I never know how to embed anything, but Boz is backtracking and posted an IG message to Garcelle, thanking her and wishing her well. A little too late IMO... https://entertainmentnow.com/real-housewives/bozoma-saint-john-note-to-garcelle/
  20. Well happy belated birthday! Haha I was the same way though, I would get so excited to come home and watch the taped episode from the day. Or in the summer when I was home alone, I would watch and then pretend I hadn't already watched it when mom came home to watch after work. It was awful on the days when a storm would roll through and the power goes out, or the tape runs out and you miss the last few minutes... or when you're grounded and you can't watch a few days because your parents were so awful That happened to me once during the Ted/Tad storyline when they were out in the wilderness and Dixie was caught up in the flowing river and he had to rescue her (or vice versa). I was SO mad, but I snuck out of my room to at least listen to what was happening while they watched. Thankfully I never got caught.
  21. Great memory! So yes, the Christmas miracle and looking up at the angel, man I was right haha. I can envision that scene perfectly now that you confirmed it and reminded me of the angel. We must be near the same age (I'm 41). My grandma and mother both watched AMC religiously, so I grew up with it at home and just fell in love with it. Even my dad hate-watched it with us every night with dinner. He never wanted to admit it, and would always talk about how AMC was on the TV, but then ask 'what happened to this character' - he was invested But I think when you start watching soaps as a teenager, you find that you'll always hold that era in high regard. We're so impressionable at that age and it just really sticks to you as you learn things about life and grow up.
  22. I am too. I'm trying to figure out if it was the episode I watched recently where he's in the streets talking to the citizens of Springfield to encourage them about rebuilding 5th Street, just prior to the Ball. Or if it's another scene being referred to. I question it because I don't remember him being on a rooftop, but more of a podium, but he was long-winded and sort of just rambling hahaha, but you see older extras out there tearing up and getting motivated. Otherwise, the only rooftop yelling scene I've witnessed so far in my current 1995 watch is Fletcher yelling from the roof at the Ball, declaring his love for Holly to everyone below. In typical Fletcher fashion, it was so over the top and ridiculous haha.
  23. LOL that Kandi gif is perfect here. I love Kat and Chelsea's relationship. So clearly Dani has two huge holes in her life - her husband and her old successful modeling career, and now she feels like she has nothing. The drinking will make her hit rock bottom and hopefully we see her rise above. Curious to see how the Nicole/Dani conversation goes tomorrow.
  24. Oh YES! The car crash - you're right. Thanks
