  1. That sparked a memory... do y'all remember when Kate left and the NuNatalie came in? I think there was a house fire, if I remember correctly, and she was blind for awhile and then regained her sight (a Christmas miracle! - right?). But, she left soon after that I think... I guess she ended up dying, I can't quite remember how? Hard shoes to fill and the actress just wasn't able to do so.
  2. What!!! Annie in real life is 27 years old (in 1995 where I'm watching)?!? Robert Newman is 37... my mind is blown. I need to go find how old the actresses that play Lucy and Bridgett are, because they seem more like 27 to me and Annie feels like 37-40. I know this is a mind game with age, and people in the 90s looked older than they really are given the hair styles back then (like Vanessa seems much older to me than she probably is at the time - I need to go Google it). I just can't believe the actress playing Annie was 27 at that time, and I'm seeing characters like Lucy, Bridget, Dinah who seem more like that age. I'm 100% shocked. My mind is blown - the actresses playing Lucy and Bridget are a year old than Watros. (Soni and Melissa were born in 1967 and Watros in 1968). Both storyline and look (hairstyle and dress) of these characters do NOT put Lucy/Bridget as older than Annie. My mind is totally blown here.
  3. That warms my heart - love to see it. Also, wow to see where these kids from OLTL landed in life. I haven't thought about or seen them in YEARS, so I love this.
  4. I said the exact same thing today - he's a clown/cartoon character - of course he's going to jail, he's a caricature. 100%
  5. I just came on here to say this too! What a coincidence that we've been talking about this storyline and here Cady comes with a flashback clip from that era! Love that she cherishes those days.
  6. Ahh that is all very interesting. I didn't realize JFP produced SB beforehand and that's how she knew Marcy and brought her into GL. I just saw that JFP left GL in late May '95, which I'm getting close to. Now, with a new EP in June and a new head writer (McT) in July, it makes me curious where some of these stories that started in early '95 were intended to go, and what the new folks changed. Like Brent clearly was a rapist, but I'm guessing McT thought of the Marion story.. was Beaty on contract from the beginning of his time? I wonder what the old EP/writer had intended for Brent Lawrence. Or is there a period of overlap when things like this happen... like clearly Josh/Annie were meant to be a thing, and it started nicely, but if an abrupt decision to bring Reva back was made, then that clearly changed that story arc. The only real meaty storylines happening right now are Brent/Lucy/AM, Reva's return, and Dinah's return and impact on Ross/Blake. The Holly/Fletcher/Roger storyline, 5th Street/Cooper stuff, Vanessa/Matt engagement, and anything else going on is all just easy filler to watch that goes along, but there isn't much meat behind it. I feel like since I started in February '95, I'm seeing the wind down of relationships and storylines - with Nick/Mindy over, Gilly/Sid moving (or so it seems), Eve going away (I saw she passes away soon 😰), Eleni's Greece story resolved and now bland with the new actress, what you mention with Mindy leaving, Tangie leaving, Cutter leaving... I haven't spoiled myself yet on how Mindy goes, but if the actress was wanting to leave, I could see her being a victim of Brent's! He just tried to seduce her at his apartment before she mentioned Lucy's concerns to her, which pissed him off and he asked her to leave... so he could go find Lucy in the thunderstorm and threaten her (which was such a great Friday cliffhanger)!
  7. ^In PEACOCK history, not Bravo... still, good for them!
  8. Oh I didn't even realize it was alphabetical order - good eye! I just knew the first four were the main family members, and I assumed the rest were grouped together based on storyline (like Leslie/Ted, the sisters, etc.)
  9. Better episode today (for me)! Excited to see what Martin's secret really is - I hope they don't drag this out forever.
  10. The lighting on today's show is SO good, in all scenes. I like Bill's office fireplace too.
  11. And I LOVE your new signature and avatar/profile picture
  12. I love me some cocktails/drinks, but I don't know how Dani does this much all the time, from sunrise to sunset! She got a problem... and no one else on the canvas is drinking, so surely there is a storyline about this coming, right?
  13. One fun thing to think about in all of this - it'll require an opening update, and I wonder if they'll move some people around, add/drop others, etc. Usually when they have to update an opening, they make more changes while they're at it, don't they? (other soaps)
  14. LOL - I love Dr. Damon, but I've never noticed this before - yikes!!! She needs to get her husband in her chair!
  15. May 4, 1995 --- ohhh, Brent is trying to work with Alan now to bring down Alan-Michael, now that Alan-Michael returned from Florida and realized how scummy Brent is! This is getting good. Question: Was Reva popular in the 80s and was her exit/"death" from the show a surprise and sad for fans? Her "spirit" that is haunting Josh and ruining his chances with Annie seem a little silly only because I know she ends up alive somewhere, so this was probably more of a tease for excited fans at the time when spoilers were not a thing, keeping them on their toes as to what happened with her. She keeps calling him 'Bud' - I guess that's her nickname for him?
  16. Oh no... I'm already tired of the 5th Street obsession, how can it get any worse in 1996?? LOL. Plus you have Buzz who half the time seems to be adlibbing his lines in a messy web of thoughts that eventually get out of his mouth haha. I'm at the point where Tangie just got arrested for withholding evidence/information on who may have stolen this money from the Ball. I mean, we're basically talking about chump change here, and it's this big overhyped scandal IMO. Speaking of Tangie, she seems to just be floating around without much direction. She's a reporter that seems to work around the clock on leads, but then she's also is a bartender at the local dive bar at night. She seems to have random flirtatious scenes with Alan and Cutter, but it never really goes anywhere. Speaking of Cutter, there was a random week-long storyline where Mindy has to teach him about computers, and you could tell they were thinking of pairing the two together, but then it got dropped suddenly. Oh wow - that's fun that we're almost near the same timeline! I know, I've been able to power through a lot in the last two weeks because my work schedule this time of year is lighter. Once work picks back up again, I'll be slower moving. I also have so much current-day TV that I watch, so I'll have to balance it out here soon. Thank you all for your thoughts on the Alan character! I googled Christopher Bernau and learned he was gay and died of a heart attack at 49 due to complications with AIDS (if Wiki is true). How sad. I wish I could have seen his work - I'll have to find more clips. Ron's Alan seems ok for me right now, but like I said, he isn't on much between Feb-May '95, so my limited time with him has been a few banter scenes with Alex, a few scenes with Alan-Michael about how he isn't up to the challenge of running the business, and a few flirtatious scenes with Tangie. He is just now getting involved in the Sid/Gilly storyline and appears to have gotten Gilly fired from her LA job, which will prevent Sid from moving to LA with her. But that's very new still... I actually think RR looks like he could easily play Robert Newman's older brother. They physically have enough similarities to where I'd buy the relationship.
  17. Yeah, I just listened to her instagram video she made about this. Sounds like 100% her choice - her son is graduating high school and another is starting a new career and she really wants to be present and around for those things in the next year, along with all the other non-RH projects she has coming up. I think contractually she had to wait to say something until after the reunion is filmed. Now who is Sutton going to lean on - she'll be an island, because Kyle isn't that girl for her, as much as Sutton wants it haha. I do hope this means we have new blood and a shakeup in BH next season. This season just wasn't it for me.
  18. I'm up to May 1, 1995! Reva has returned, haunting poor Josh. Her picture shows up in his wallet, he starts to smell her perfume on people, a Tulsa rose shows up here and there... and then just as he and Annie are about to have sex for the first time, she shows up in person (his vision)! I'm excited to see how this storyline plays out... I'm at the point where Buzz and Fletcher are too much for me to swallow. If an episode has them both, I have to turn the volume down a bit haha. Buzz's obsession with 5th Street is too much. Right now, he was accused of stealing the money from the 5th Street Ball (donations), and now everyone is trying to figure out who would have stolen from the 5th Street restoration. He's a bit off his rocker right now. Dinah just moved into the Reardon boarding house for a bit, so this should be interesting to see how she terrorizes Bridget, David, Lucy, Matt, etc. I loved that Ross finally took Blake's side and kicked Dinah out of the house. Alex and Holly just got into a physical altercation in the women's bathroom over Fletcher... LOL. Did people not enjoy Ron Raines as Alan? In the almost 3 months I've watched now, he's only been on in small doses and doesn't really have a storyline going, but I do enjoy his banter with Alex and he seems like a strong presence.
  19. I totally agree. I'm at the point now where Lucy finally went back to work and is still struggling with flashbacks and people touching her. Bridget told Frank her suspicions and he's now involved, but she keeps telling them she's fine and nothing happened. In fact, she just screamed at Bridget for saying anything to Frank, so there is anger finally coming out. It's done really well so far. Brent tried to make her think it was normal and continues to court her, but he now has his sights on Mindy.
  20. Yeah, the Anita/Naomi scenes were great today and much needed.
  21. Ohh ok, Jacob's dad is scary and a good actor! That last scene there was good.
  22. Just seems weird that a juice is so expensive, but the burger meal isn't. Either make the juice $2.00 instead, or make the burger $12.99+. Or change the juice to a smoothie and then it'd make more sense. But, the fact I'm focusing on that is telling... this is a boring episode. 😕
  23. The prices at the restaurant make me LOL - you can buy a Juice for a hefty $4.00, but then a black bean burger for just $8.99.
  24. I do like the theme - BH rarely has one, right? I agree, Garcelle is the best! I also like Boz and Erika. The others are pretty safe. Even Dorit is understated, which is surprising.
  25. Looks like our first episode without Nicole! She had a good 18-episode run haha. Eva cracks me up - I like her a lot.
