  1. Christopher Lawford was only two years older than Charles Van Eman, but he seemed older than that. ETA: And it didn't help that Lawford was 15 years older than Kelly Ripa.
  2. Okay, I try not to be judgemental, but Brian Bodine was quite the little boy toy in 1992, wasn't he? Going from An Li to Hayley to Dixie. How did viewers react to this? Not to mention what sounds like a quick ending for Dixie & Craig.
  3. Hanging out, or trying to pick up some extra money? "I can make the coffee just as well as Karen can!"
  4. Thank you. (I actually had to remind myself that Alex and Gwyn weren't a couple while he was posing as Clay.)
  5. Ah, yes, that's right. I did see that. I think I'm always going to see Max as an honorary Buchanan.
  6. "He's gone, Asa. Max is gone. It's over. I don't even know what you're turning into, some kind of pittiful human being! He's not even your real son!" -- Renée, speaking for all of us Also, I wonder if they regretted adding Stephanie/Robyn Griggs to the opening, since she's inching closer to the exit.
  7. Alex. The confrontations with Ava practically write themselves. I'd move her to New York, but not necessarily for the sake of appearing on The City. Abril's died, and Gwyn gets one last link to Clay by becoming Tommy's guardian.
  8. Okay, this isn't my exact reaction whenever the conversation drifts back to Jenny, but it's close ... No, but in all seriousness, I wish they would have hung onto Dawn a little longer rather than try again with another short-lived young female.
  9. According to the Curlyqgrl summaries, Julia left on Friday, Nov. 19, 1993.
  10. I'll keep my eyes peeled. The 1994 clip where Alex has a failed power lunch has Viki's friend Elizabeth, Billy Douglas' mother Virginia, and some other matron. Still, there might have been more scenes like that.
  11. Yeah, the idea of James being part of the "Bad Boys" era at its worst is not a pretty one. I feel like he would have been a decent host in the early '00s.
  12. James Marsden apparently tried out for SNL in the early '90s. He was 18 in the fall of 1991, but I'm wondering if the audition was actually in 1993, for the featured player slot given to Jay Mohr.
  13. Babs being on through 1994 is news to me, but I suppose it's possible. Maybe Gottlieb & Malone liked having a snob character at their disposal.
  14. Please refrain from reposting the episodes, just to be on the safe side. Thank you. As for Babs, she's lasted longer than I expected (and I know that she'll appear as late as December). It's sad that her word games to justify bigotry feel like something you'd still hear in 2024. Kevin's been getting on my nerves lately. So self-destructive.
  15. I'll say what I always say in these situations. I'll gladly accept JLC doing her own mystery film that might have a similarity or two to MSW rather than an outright remake.
  16. To be fair, most of Bo's recent workdays have been devoted to defending the honor of his girlfriend.
  17. How long did Eddie & Quincy, Cassie's frienemies at The Banner, last? Did they fade away after Bo & Cassie ended? Eddie's kinda cute.
  18. I'm not posting links because of copyright fear, but the same channel with the 1983 episode has two consecutive episodes from March 1993, plus the July 1, 1998 episode (which functioned as the Fourth of July episode, since NBC's Wimbledon coverage aired on July 2-3).
  19. Thank you for letting us know. May he rest in peace.
  20. Another World being on NBC and/or Search for Tomorrow not being an Irna Phillips creation and/or crossovers not being a thing in their era would have prevented this, but I still sometimes imagine a bridge game played by Nancy, Bert, Mary, and Jo.
  21. What, no love for Gwyn's cougar phase with Armand?
  22. Farewell, Nicholas Walker's Max Holden. At least, I'm assuming Monday, Sept. 16 was his last episode. It would be kinda appropriate if he hung around for one last unnecessary goodbye to Lee Ann.
  23. I'm so glad you're caught up, @Vee. The endless back and forth between Lee Ann and Max led me to start skipping their scenes. Greyhound must have loved Lee Ann.
  24. Or maybe it was Alice's quick bout with uterine cancer and/or Tom's stroke and recovery.
