Bezos is very foolish.

The Cook report, which has spent months propping up Trump and cheering on his imaginary pivots to seriousness or gains, very belatedly wondered a couple days ago if the only reason the polls are so close is because they have finally stopped underestimating Trump but that this is in fact his ceiling, which means Harris will wipe him out. I think they're finally right. We'll see.

It's that kind of week. Or month, or year lol.

The Times follows up on Harris' campaign now beginning to telegraph victory, and reveals that Trump is cranky and stressed.

As I told people here on 1/6, she was very upset on the day of the insurrection. I remember her taking me to the Capitol and those halls as a kid when she took me to work. But other than that she's always been a pillar of strength. She was ready to fight the morning after in 2016 when I was extremely defeated and she's never stopped doing her part. I think she'll probably be fine, but I'm just very mindful of violence following or surrounding this election.

Thank you all for all you do. My mother (who has done her share of phone banking, canvassing, etc. even in her 80s, and worked on Capitol Hill and in the very buildings from 1/6 for many years) is going to Harris' rally at the Ellipse tomorrow. Even before I knew she planned to go I was concerned for Kamala, given the fact that she was going to be live at a site so emblematic of the riot - I think right now anything is possible in terms of violence. I didn't tell my mother not to go, but I did tell her to be careful and go with a friend.

The outlier folds:

I'm sorry, but no one in the mainstream is going to care about or even hear about right wing influencers pushing some random joke George Lopez made at some rally and equate that with this display. If I have no idea what that is, Joe Public has even less.

George Lopez? What is that even about? No. It's okay to call something what it is: A disaster for Trump. Do I personally think this rally is the magic bullet that destroys his campaign utterly and leads to 400 electoral votes? No. We still have to win it next week and I think we will, based on current voting and polling. But he is not invincible, he's lost more than once and he's kept on losing. And this whole thing has imploded on him and may well impact him on the day. Regardless, the press is not going to turn around tomorrow and call it a free-spirited romp. We still have to be vigilant, but that's not happening.
