If this wasn't a family board (okay, a PG-13 board), I would type out all the words I think about this monster (and his ilk). There's a special level of the next life for predators like him. 😠😠😠😠ğŸ˜

One of my former supervisors first heard the name Kelsey while watching AW one day when pregnant with her first child. That's the name she ended up giving her baby girl just weeks later.

Now, that's scary. She looks like Raggedy Ann!! :O😂

I imagine Susan Lucci would get a good laugh out of that hat now. Did anyone on AW - male or female - wear more hats than Linda/Felicia?

Family (1976-1980)
Thanks for clarifying that. Good. Jeff and Nancy (at least Meredith's Nancy) were toxic together.

Yes. Sally Gracie played both Martha Allen on TD and Ina Hopkins on OLTL.

Family (1976-1980)
Nancy and Jeff could never completely get each other out of their respective systems, right? I never saw the end of the series, but did they ever reunite for good?

It's both frightening and disheartening how little has changed in 60+ years. Bless her for speaking out back then.

The Pollocks had done such a good job with the Dan Allison "murder" mystery that the story with John came as even more of a disappointment. Then again, the Allison story came under the watch of Allen Potter as EP and the Morrison story under Joe Stuart. That may have had something to do with it. Speaking of the Pollocks, I can see some resemblances of their work on TD to GH (what little of it is on YouTube). They lured Gerald Gordon over to GH as a neurosurgeon (and later landed Anna Stuart to play his sister), for one. Plus, Althea/Nick/Penny seem like the model for early Lesley/Rick/Laura. Laura, of course, actually did kill David Hamilton.

That "murder mystery" was a total snooze. Patrick Horgan deserved better.

I wouldn't be surprised a bit. Plus, she saw how Mackenzie was slammed and shunned by many members of the family. She could be afraid of the same thing happening to her.

It is sad...and the NYC soaps just went out with a whimper instead of a roar.

The son of a TD alum has come forward against Kevin Spacey. Jeramie Rain, who played Nurse Samantha Toliver from 1972 until around 1976, and her ex-husband, Richard Dreyfuss, are the parents of Harry Dreyfuss, who just shared his story: https://www.buzzfeed.com/harrydreyfuss2/actor-harry-dreyfuss-when-i-was-18-kevin-spacey-groped-me?utm_term=.ihYORGOVq#.cw08k98Mo

Yes, and Chynna appeared on OPRAH to that end. Chynna ended up having a nervous breakdown after that and was briefly hospitalized for anxiety attacks not long after that interview. She was John's daughter, too...even though Chynna went on the record that he never molested her, she suffered just as Mackenzie did, just in a different way. As for Richard and Harry Dreyfuss, I don't know what, if any, issues they've had, but there is a soap connection there. Jeramie Rain, Richard's first wife and Harry's mother, played Nurse Samantha Toliver on The Doctors. She was featured from 1972 to around 1976. That is some nerve...making moves on a teenager with his father just feet away!!! 😠😠😠😠ğŸ˜

Yes. What you said about families protecting the perpetrator made me think of the fall of 2009 when Mackenzie Phillips released her memoirs and revealed that her father had done unspeakable things to her, even when she was an adult. Remember all the backlash she got at that time? In my case, the man who took advantage of me and groomed me has a daughter...who is a year and a half OLDER than me. As far as I know, neither she nor the rest of his family ever found out.

I couldn't have said all that better myself. I too am looking forward to TD without Nick...I read that his last airdate is December 31, 1974 (not counting his short-term return in 1976). Alan is so self-righteous...but the joke will be on him once it is revealed that Mike is still alive after all!!

That's a great interview. It sounds like there was a lot of Meg in Mona (minus the evilness), from the cosmopolitan lifestyle and multiple marriages. We've seen her first run on the show on Retro TV, and she was indeed very convincing as the evil mother-in-law.

Steven Seagal has long had a reputation for being an absolute creep. Hunter Tylo shared a story some years ago about auditioning for a role in one of his movies, and how he proceeded to grope her and repeatedly gave her the tongue. I know that one has to take things Hunter Tylo says with a grain of salt, but in this case I never doubted her for a second.
