  1. @Khan, you bring up very good points. With pedophilia, even though he went on trial twice and was never convicted...why did Michael Jackson still have such a huge and enduring fan base worldwide? If he was truly innocent, why did he pay people off? I guess I just don't get why Michael Jackson remained so admired during and after those scandals. Is it because he remained so childlike all his life while people like Kevin Spacey come across as menacing?
  2. I know. What about Kevin Spacey? I feel terrible for him (and Corey Haim, God rest him). Why is there a statute of limitations on sexual crimes? I know that there's no statute of limitations on murder, but sex crimes are a type of murder in and of themselves. Innocence, trust and safety have been destroyed - sometimes forever - and for perpetrators to get away with it and continue to prey on others is inexcusable. The laws need to be changed...and maybe this huge scandal will be a catalyst toward that end. I hope and pray that it will.
  3. Maybe it was their way to try to get Jessica Tuck to stay?
  4. I agree with that, and while I don't know for sure if Bill Clinton or JFK ever took a woman against her will - they fooled around while married and Hollywood looked the other way. Not that I excuse Trump for his treatment of females...not at all. The day the news broke about what he and Billy Bush said/did to Arianne Zucker on the DAYS set was the same day that I told my pastor about what the fellow congregant had done to me. So, to me it's not a partisan issue...whether one has a D or R after his/her name, that person can still be an abusive creep. Anyway, it's weird that the Takei bulletin came over the Web just as I was watching the new Celebrity Feuds episode on Reelz...about the century-long feud between Takei and William Shatner!! Of all the people in Hollywood who have been outed as being sexual predators, whose career/life do you think will suffer the most? Who has/had the most to lose?
  5. Exactly. Just when you think it can't get worse, it does.
  6. My favorite story about TSS is that it was originally going to be called The Storm Within. However, they had to change the name when an antacid company signed on as a sponsor. 😂
  7. The only good thing about this whole scandal in Hollywood is that so many people are realizing that they are not alone. More men are stepping forward about their own traumas. Maybe now more people in positions of power will think twice before imposing their wills and bodies on those defenseless. I can only hope and pray that real change will happen.
  8. I'm the same age as Kimberly McCullough, and was in high school when the AIDS story aired. It has to go down as the most important teen storyline in the annals of daytime drama, and one of the best ever on TV - period.
  9. He won't last long before being succeeded by Armand Assante in 1975.
  10. At least Ratner has an appropriate name.
  11. Thanks! It just doesn't sound like the kind of story he usually did.
  12. Here's the story from when it first happened: http://www.chicagotribune.com/76724314-157.html However, Denise had had enough before the year was out: https://www.google.com/amp/s/pagesix.com/2013/11/06/denise-richards-gives-up-on-sheens-sons/amp/
  13. Was Doug Marland the one who wrote the shrunken head story? If not, who?
  14. It also may explain why when Charlie was divorcing his third wife, Denise filed for custody of his twin boys along with her own daughters with him. It may have had very well to do with something beyond wanting simply to keep her girls and their half-brothers together. You know, American Beauty was a movie that gave me the absolute creeps. I never understood why it got all those awards and people just lauded it. There was just a vibe about it that made me feel sick...and this was years before my own traumatic situation. Of course, Spacey won the Oscar for it. To this day, it is the only film I have ever walked out on in a theater.
  15. Yes, and hopefully when it's all over they can lock him in a dungeon and throw away the key!!
  16. Wow, I thought that nickname had been around long before Phyllis arrived. Thanks!!
  17. Good grief!! 😂
  18. Well said...and sadly true.
  19. Who originally started calling Christine/Cricket "The Bug"? Best soap nickname ever!! 😂
  20. To be honest, I was surprised (and a bit impressed) that Rand Paul mows his lawn himself rather than having a servant do it for him. Then again, my dad has always found mowing the lawn to be very relaxing as well as productive. Maybe Rand Paul shares my dad's philosophy!
  21. True, but it's a start!!
  22. Rand Paul just seems to find himself in weird situations wherever he goes. Remember when he licked a paparazzo's camera lens (bleccch!)? Or my all-time favorite, his livestream gaffe from the fall of 2015. I still giggle when that episode comes to mind. 😂 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VO5QetaJEyc
  23. Elayne and Brianne also resemble Catherine Bach (The Dukes of Hazzard).
  24. Yes, and the funny thing is that she wasn't a soap watcher. I believe she was put on bed rest for the final few weeks of her pregnancy and would watch more TV than usual. AW just happened to be on and she liked the name of Kelsey, not so much because of the character of Kelsey.
