  1. Good place to start. Glad to hear it. Merry Christmas to you, too.
  2. Well...it IS Brenda so... I admit that while it started silly, I did live for Olivia's visions. And I remember LLC always selling it well. It didn't even seem implausible given some of the things that have happened (and still happening apparently) in PC.
  3. Merry Frelling Christmas!!!
  4. I don't think you have to worry about that. Yet. It feels like they are being underused to me right now. In a weird holding pattern with Bill. But I guess we will see next year. I mean...did Bill ever call off the investigator to dig into Andre's past from a year before he arrived in Fairmont Crest? I could see that on the shifts. I never thought about that at all. And it does sound plausible. But has anyone mentioned deleted material from Winterfest? When you write it like it...these are all good pivots. It takes me back to the discussion we had about pivoting right before the Barbara/SPS reveal...something that really was needed at the time because SPS had been such a cartoon. I definitely feel that Hayley has legs now. The same for SPS. And I love that there is someone here who also feels that this story with Tomas and Kat is leading to his exit...which is how I have felt since it started. I don't think we should ever get rid of the rivalry between Kat and Eva. But I do like the ideas mentioned. It's like at the start of the show with Dani and Bill. Once the initial story was done, Dani and Bill needed to be in separate stories for a while (him-the lawsuit, then the hand issues; her-Andre, issues with Chels) to get a feel for their characters and start developing them so that when they finally came back together at the hospital after Bill's stroke, there was more meat, layers, and interest to them. I think Kat and Eva could use the same approach...separate stories. Perfect timing too since Kat has put out her ultimatum to her family. Let Eva grow (and make amends to the town hopefully) with Iaziah. Meanwhile, Kat can come to the realization of why she is really with Tomas...and feel a way about him trying to neuter her by perhaps overhearing him with Bill...and she leaves him. Then someone rope all of that back to the rivalry between Kat and Eva and keep it evenly matched between the sisters.
  5. Ooooo I love that. And saved. hehe. :P JK. Skin is one of my personal favorites off ROL, right under TO HAVE NOT TO HOLD for me. But I can always listen to that album...and overdue a relisten...when I feel introspective and want to go inward. Some of the songs can literally bring tears to my eyes because they are just so beautiful sonically. Hehe. I was just thinking that I need to relisten to her ballad album, too. I guess I've been in the mood for 90s Madonna/late 80s quite a lot lately.
  6. That's a pretty good quote. And totally understandable.
  7. Very glad to hear it. My family was an ABC (with Y&R on the side) soap house on the side. But OLTL was the soap that winded up becoming my own outside of my mother, grandmother, brother, etc. Good to hear you enjoying it.
  8. Well-said. Merry Christmas to you as well.
  9. Same. I'm still so mad about the whole Cane/Damian/Chance thing. And like I said...I rarely tune in now until Jess/Eileen pop in or if I'm missing JM's bubble or recently for Danny/Christine's wedding cuz I've always loved those two...and I love the returns as well. It needs to catch up to them to the point that Josh Griffith is out.
  10. 12-18 That was more like it. Anita playing the game of not telling anyone about her worries felt so old school soap keeping a secret to me. And TT know she stayed selling it. I also love her talk with Andre. And the Hamilton Widow plot was good, too. I like that it appears to have another element to it with the introduction of Hayley's old partner in crime. And she knows Randy, too, is the cherry on top. And it seem like she might interfere in Hayley's new life. And the fact that Hayley didn't say at all she plans to kill Bill (pun unintended for those who were at the movies for the rewatch) is just another layer of intrigue. Best for last...MARCEL AND SILK PRESS SHEILA. YES, PLEASE. lol. Those scenes were a lot of flirting and foreplay and I ate them up. lol. Marcel over there had me blushing over here. It's great to see someone actually match SilkPress's energy and I want them to be a scheme team oh so bad. Like Dani/Andre, I called it. I wanted more and the foreshadowing months ago was good, but watching it happen has been great. And just from their scenes, the potential for internal/external drama for them as a couple is there. Even though now that I think about it...Marcel KNOWS all about Martin's secret, too. I wonder if he might tell SPS...over pillowtalk perhaps. Hmmmm
  11. Oh so this is the start of that storyline you all were talking about with Liz. Yep. I'm about to get annoyed.
  12. And to think they could have gotten him there post-shooting easily. Another wasted opportunity.
  13. Mmmmmmmmmm
  14. You betta get onto it like the Hamilton Widow getting onto poisoning Bill. ;P
  15. Merry Frelling Christmas to you as well, good sir!!! It's a shame there's not much for us to discuss in the Y&R thread, but I always hope you are doing well. :)
  16. Just to get it off my chest...ANNNNA!!! FINALLY!! lol.
  17. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! The holler I just let out before work when I saw the look on The Hamilton Widow © @Maxim 's face when Bill told her to get off the birth control. She really don't like that man!!!
  18. Wacka wacka!!! lol. But I completely agree. I like the actor, but it's the same show and dance that Frank does with villains with that 'look at me! I'm evil' though from where I'm playing catch-up, the actor is bringing some nice menace finally. But I don't and have never found him sustainable. Now Frank on the other hand...by displacing Drew who was really running roughshod over everyone and had a lot of fingers in story pies to bow down to Sidwell...seems to feel differently. I found Drew too to be the sustainable villain. All he needed was a redeeming quality, but they took it away (Scout) and I really hated they did that. He was perfect IMO due to that. It's another reason why he's a cartoon now. His obsession love for Willow ain't it. EJ is a good example for Drew to be like. It would be nice if they would try. But alas.
  19. This 12-18 episode is more to my liking. I was worried there for a second. Two things I like (okay three)... Anita's story starting to have some build and loving her scene with Andre. Yassssssssss to Marcel matching SPS's energy and his flirt game is ON...POINT. Hayley looked BOSS.
  20. Hehe. Very. Hehe. I'm down for that!!! A hot mess!! Heeeey Alexis!!!
  21. Mos def. lol. Hmm kinda like crafty/cunning? Cuz I believe Sidwell eclipsed him in that department. I believe the thread talked months ago about how it was good to have Drew as the more...grounded villain while Sidwell was the more soap supervillain. But since Sidwell blackmailed Drew, Drew's villainy has lost all of its agency for me. It was like the writers just could not have two villains at the same time. I smh.
