  1. I feel that. That was such a good episode, too.
  2. Almost done with Episode 4...and I don't know how I feel about Rose. I did love Episode 4's montage. I love how Ilya's family drama is growing. And this show stays having great music.
  3. And yet for all that shifting, I actually enjoy Jason on my screen doing not much vs Sonny. In my own catch-up, I have also been greatly enjoying the bond between Rocco and Gio. And Rocco showing how much backbone he has...and he was the nicer kid out of the current youth set.
  4. Awww thank you. I think another reason why she stood out for me is that usually in soap stories it's the son who takes after the dad with the daughter taking after the mother, but with old school Y&R, it was the reverse. And Bill Bell knew how to bring some complexity to his characters, brought to life with great actors and actresses. Heather was a find, grew into her role, and you could not take your eyes off her. She could be heroine. She could be a bitca. She can be like I said earlier ruthless. But through all of that, you could still care about her. And I lived for some of her catfights. There was a radio show that did recaps when I was a kid and it says something to the talents of the mc as well as how the characters on Y&R that I could word-for-word hear what he was quoting in her voice. I was in awe. I like Katie and wished Brad used her more and better which is why I don't mind her in focus right now. But ooooo Victoria was HT's signature character. I mean how can you not like a character who named her company Brash and Sassy?
  5. THIS. His heir. The name. Not to be toyed with. Just like her dad.
  6. She would be b slapped by a scheming Carly and BLQ. Oh, wait... ;)
  7. Yeah. For sure. I just reached the part of my viewing where Portia needed a doctor and while not first choice, Britt does know her stuff and do what she had to do. Easily coming across as a human being, too.
  8. At least she's not pulling a Carlivati. Or is it Carli Vati. ;)
  9. Yeah, he's just a tool to her now. GOOD.
  10. Yeah, he's just a tool to her now. GOOD.
  11. Ooooo she was a find at the age of 15 when she started. Every inch as ruthless as her father Victor Newman, but hell on wheels still rootable...when you didn't want to shake her. And their final scenes with her in the role of Victoria was good.
  12. Hollering. But also about to watch. ;)
  13. Yeah, I could go with that. And if anyone can do savage and play it to the hilt, it would be Heather Tom if you ever saw her as the original Victoria Newman on Y&R.
  14. Hey. I was humming their song just the other day. Don't get it stuck in my head again. :) I honestly do wonder if with Anita's current story if they will loop back to Devon at all.
  15. Amen. They should always have competing fashion houses. YES.
  16. hehe. You are. :) Which is a sign the story did its job. ;) I think that's why I honestly liked it so much. The first months like you said was full of twist, turns, reveals...and this story...was slow and steady, but did arrive at an end so it stands out more to me because it did. Meanwhile, we are still dealing with SPS and Laura's accident, Dani/Bill, etc. Meanwhile that Articulate story did its thing. First we got Anita's anxiety about singing, but also how she missed singing. Then we got karoake night. Then the producer. Then the first phone call and hang up heehee. We got the Barbara note reveal. Sharon. Tracy adding to my lists of soap characters I love named Tracy (GH/Y&R shoutout). Tracy and Anita dealing with their issues. Sharon and Anita dealing with their issues. And then...the concert and resolution. I also liked that while it was tied up in a nice little bow, there are still loose threads to mine from it like you mentioned. Of course, there's the obvious SPS as Barbara's daughter. And I still feel...well before Guza left...that the Devon/rerecording of songs with Barbara's voice would come into play. This silly Vernon/Sharon story...still behind don't spoil me! hehe. And Dante Green is STILL out there. And I am sure there's little bits of backstory that they can still use to keep Sharon and Tracy around or just have them pop in for another arc for. It was a good initial story with possibilities for down the road. But hopefully you don't think I am trying to devalue your opinion. I wouldn't mind it being longer either, but as is, it's a nice little story gem in a rough first year. And that concert is soooo remarkable. Yeah, you can count me in as one of those bored posters. Still enjoyable. And I'm happy to see that it has appeared to get some of its momentum back heading into the Christmas episodes which is good.
  17. Heheh. If they are going to make Hayley comedic, they pick the right villainess to do it from. I just don't want multiples of her. Same. And he be matching her step for step. I love they foreshadowed this months ago, but it is already paying off in spades. I want more. I forgot to mention but I loved that shoutout. It's nice to see how BTG connects to the other soaps and so organically, too. I love you, but no. That story still has been the only story on this show that has had a beginning (if slow start), middle, and end. It was just enough. And like all stories, there is still so much to mine from it, but I rather like the initial story just to see a mini-arc on a soap again. Awww I am sorry for your loss. I remember when Y&R planned to kill off Dina and my mother was going through medical issues on top of CoVid so as much as I like the character of Dina, didn't wanther to leave, and I'm sure Eileen Davidson knocked it out of the park, it was just too close to home for me. My mother thankfully recovered, but I still cannot sit through those scenes. So I feel that. THIS.
  18. Drum roll? Le sigh. Just when I was respect Sidwell a little bit, back to the 'jokes.'
  19. Yeah, I felt out of all the B plots introduced on this show in its first year, Doug/Vanessa/Joey was not only the best and most organic, but also the best paced. Solid enough to be a main story...which it showed the week of Doug's death or any week where it was the main story. It was just so well done to me, allowing for the characters to develop individually before the stories converged into something bigger. I loved Doug was over here dealing with a gambling addiction, but yet we saw a capable doctor who was loved by all his co-workers...some of my favorite scenes were him with Shanice, Ashley, random doctor at the nurse stand. Then you had Vanessa over there playing sex games with different men (hey, Diego, hey!), but you also saw her being a town gossip while being BFFs to Dani and saw she was a shark in her real estate business. Just the different sides to both characters. Then you had Joey in the background which made the fact that he was pulling the strings behind both of their vices just genius. And a cat and mouse game insured...right up until Doug's death. You said it perfectly...Vanessa currently would not bother me currently if she still had her cunning edge that had been established over the first 150 episodes, but she's little more than a weepy heroine and it does not ring true. The only thing saving her is the actress playing her putting in layers sometimes and that is stretching thin. Yeah, the build to the Hayley reveal and how it made some of the odd things that came before it make sense was superb in hindsight. I'm still enjoying her channeling Kristen Dimera circa late 90s DAYS myself, but she's not coming across as being cunning right now either.
  20. Why, thank you. But I like Hellion Trina. hehe. Yeah, I used to like him cuz Cassadine. I even liked his pairing with Anna. BUT how that relationship ended due to Charlotte and the stuff surrounding Pikeman (cuz he WAS the head of it) is what turned me off of him. At least PM gave him a purpose again even if it would have (and should have) led to his end. And the Anna I've seen on this show would not have been as weepy as she's been and have handled him easily so another strike against him since he makes a beloved character act out of character. Not helped by the tone of his current story. As did I. It didn't bother me that Britt returned. And the start of her story was good. But once she landed in PC, they made Britt into some comedy skit/cartoon character and that was a no go. And they never should have done this story with Rocco.
  21. Is it wrong that I'm looking forward to next Christmas simply because I like the running subplot of the Dupree women taking no prisoners when it comes to trying to find out their gifts early by sneaking around.
