I haven't seen that 'story' since it aired and I don't think I was watching Days that frequently, but I did think it was going somewhere. IIRC, they even used old flashbacks of her radio show and the Stalker calling her. Although I am not sure if it was leading to Hattie and the fact that Samantha was killed by Jake, but it really went nowhere. Even though Hattie has reappeared a million times-the initial Hattie story just died out lol. I mean how many options does Liz have to perform in Salem? Health Club opening it is. It is awkward she just has a microphone and is in the middle of the room jamming out, but, again, Don was digging it. I figured. I just thought she was married to Tony before Salem, but I think Liz's love life is so convoluted you would have to do a deep dive wiki search to figure it out.

Should I even ask why Liz's last name is Courtney at this point? Don's really enjoying the music lol... which seems like a really rude thing to do Marlena? But I am not sure where we are at in the Marlena/Don/Kellam timeline here.

I don't believe Jamie Walters and Tori Spelling ever dated. He was the lead on the very brief Spelling show "The Heights" and made his way over to 90210 shortly after it was cancelled. I don't think JW was destined for a long, famous music and TV career, but it had to hurt his career significantly. I think Ray could have been redeemed without making Donna look dumb. She didn't have to go back to him. He could have existed outside of that relationship. It was clear they were angling something long term with Ray because JW appeared in the credits for so long and barely appeared on screen after the abuse story.

Again Roman/Marlena fans have so few good memories lol. Do you remember when Marlena started her radio show again in the early 2000's and it seemed like they were possibly going there, but it ended up having something to do with Hattie instead? And Nancy was her fill in host and super popular?

That's fair. I agree. I don't think anyone likes this new Possession and I didn't even like the original one. I'd rather revisit Stefano's underground kingdom in Paris than this. My only issue is that the Strangler story was so important to Roman/Marlena's story that unless we get Wayne back I don't want to see it. I know John can play the Roman role, but Roman/Marlena fans have so few nice things, you know?

Marlena's hair is hideous and it looked so good before the cut. I think someone on some board told me that Dee was going for the Princess Diana look, which I guess that is sorta of what it is, but DH looks like a 50 year old school teacher* with that hair. That hair doesn't right itself for a long time either. I would assume Marlena would be part of this Sarenee stuff. There are truly only a handful of characters that even knew Renee, so there isn't much choice on that. Could you imagine a revisit of the Salem strangler? We would probably ended up with JT playing a duel role of Roman/Chris Kositcheck. *apologies to any 50 year old school teachers-I am sure your hair looks better than what is happening on Marlena's head.

With that wig...but a job's a job. And I think she does like the character. And I am sure the storyline sounded better on paper than in actuality.

Lol! The lighting was so blue for the longest time I had to ask my husband if my eyes were going or if something was wrong with my television. Now it's just dark and the lighting is not actually pointing to the actors on screen. I worked retail visual merchandising for years and it's not rocket science to point it at the actual thing you want to highlight, unless the show is actually trying to showcase the bench outside the pub instead of Nancy.😂 You didn't like the cliffhanger of Gabi eating a chocolate going "yum"?

It wasn't anything important I don't think. I think we just missed Brady telling John Craig was gay and John holding Valentines I assume Rachel made? I thought i missed a segment of them or one was just cut out. It just picked up midway through a conversation🤣

Yeah whatever. Carson looked great. Was it just me or my station, but did the show literally cut into the John/Brady conversation halfway through? Was it awful editing or did i miss something?

Same. It's probably because we saw Christie grow up, but they feel like 2 different generations to me. Not that CM looks bad or anything. She was just playing adult stories while Carrie was still doing teen stories. Yeah so none of it makes sense lol. I just thought maybe LG's Sarah was supposed to be at least her real time age and looked really good.

Ugh. I recall. This feels like the right age for Sarah. CM feels too old for me, but I have no idea how Sarah is supposed to line up with Daniel/Summer I get how old she is supposed to be, but I think I didn't articulate that well. Are we supposed to believe LG's Sarah is 40 years old?

Same. I am not a huge MA fan, but I think looks, age, and even acting wise she would have been fine. The story could have basically been the same as well with the baby, Xander, etc. I definitely think MA would play it more spunky and less cutesy. I feel like this is going to be one of those dumb JER like scenarios where everyone keeps quiet to 'protect' Sarenne, but it would just be so much easier to tell her the truth. It's pretty obnoxious now that Craig's out he's just going to ogle any man that walks his way. Johnny's hot, but really?

Gotcha. The first mistake was bringing on someone so young to play Sarah and LG just plays her so annoyingly. Also, is Sarah supposed to be in her 40's? Because Renee died 40 years ago and Sarenee said herself Sarah was a toddler lol. It just seems like a delusion everyone could easily debunk for her. She may still need mental health treatments, but the evidence is fairly easy to prove that she's not Renee. Is everyone is Salem just going to let her run around town with this delusion like Kayla is?

I suppose they could use flashbacks of Tony/Anna/Renee as how they are perceived in Sarah's mind. Perhaps the way she sees them is as they were, but that's a stretch. I sorta want her to see Tony as a 70 year old and run screaming from the room, but I doubt that will happen. It seems people could very easily explain this all to Sarah quickly by showing her Carrie is a full grown adult, Marlena has great grandkids, Sarah's own driver's license, photos, the fact Renee is literally dead, etc. There are about 10,000 better ways to do this, but Ron chose one of the least logical and stupid.

For sure, but I think it will be quite obvious Anna is past her child bearing years so it couldn't be that recent. Maybe if they left that tidbit out. Sarah/Renee has to know that years have passed because Kayla is a doctor and wasn't even a nurse yet when Renee last saw her. I know I am trying to be slightly logical, but putting a 30 something in a story with a bunch of 60 year olds is a choice. I think this story would be mildly interesting if someone from the past or someone more age appropriate thought they were Renee. I am not sure who, but Sarah is like my last choice. I am not even going to touch the Craig/Johnny silliness, but I did like Marlena/Nancy today.

AGREED. I am not asking you do this @JAS0N47, but only 90 times in all those years? I wonder how many times they showed Bo/Hope or John/Marlena in their bedrooms throughout the years. Probably near 1000. I know it's not the same thing at all and not comparable and times have changed, but the DH's were churning out full out love scenes in their 50's which is the same age FR was when she started.

Exactly. I think everyone in the story kicked it up a notch as well. KMc, MB, and to a lesser extent VM all got great material and really shined like they never had before. You could tell everyone from writers, producers, actors, etc truly cared about telling this story as accurately as possible. It's honestly a shame MS quit acting because he became such a great talent.

This probably a more random one since Stone was basically his only acting role, but Michael Sutton. When he appeared on GH I never would have imagined MS could pull off the story he had both emotionally and physically. MS was never awful, but grew as an actor so much in 2 years. Agree with everyone on Ari Zucker as well.

Lol. Fair. I am totally not doubting their off screen activities I just could never remember anything more than a few kisses and hugs on screen. I was just curious if they ever got a fade to black sorta love scene or even a day they were shown (clothed) waking up together in bed. I can't think of any other established couple on Days that never even got a hint of a love scene.

This is probably a weird question, but I am curious did Alice/Tom ever have a love scene? Not that I need a Tom/Alice love scene in my life but were they ever shown having a love scene or in bed cuddling together? I know times were different back then, but it's odd they are in twin beds when sex clearly shown on the show at the time

I know there were a few, emphasis on few, scenes with Rick and Monica that were either flirty or hinted something might happen back then. I have to think they intended to play that beat and Rick's entire story short when GF left. I 100% think they were going with a Rick molested Laura story in the beginning
