This story should have been Brenda/Sonny's from the start, but it's been a decade so I will get over it eventually lol. I think Nina/Sonny do have possibilities but I may lose it completely if he leaves the mob for Nina. I will just die in a pool of tears for what might have been for Sonny/Brenda. I honestly think there's an 80-90% chance that when Mo decides to leave or GH is cancelled he will end up with Brenda but there is zero hope on the horizon as of now. It's so hard to say though because I agree with you and @j swift that Sonny/Carly are so established and it's possible my inner fangirl is talking. I don't really think anything should break Carson apart at this point. They have been through so much and even a Brenda reappearance shouldn't shake Carly. It probably is the only thing that would make Carly insecure, but it shouldn't if you look at the actual history. The chemistry really isn't there with MB and LW but they work okay together. I think it's hard to compare the two couples because there are so many what ifs with Sonny/Brenda and Brenda flits in and out of the canvas unlike Carly so Carly has visible signs of growth and change while Brenda doesn't really. Anyhow, I like Laura Wright and think she has done well with Carly. It's just a different Carly than I would have imagined SJB's Carly to be.

I assume Johnny's eye is like Phillip's lost leg. Miraculously cured and never spoken of again. I honestly forgot about Johnny's eye too..

I feel like it's the Devil's manipulation but he does love Marlena so Idk? Maybe he's just horny. I have a hard time believing even PriestJohn would stop wanting to have sex. But it started with Devil as Kristen seducing him then moved to DevilMarlena seducing so I think there is something behind that. The idea of bringing back Wayne was much better than the execution of it all. I would say the bottom dropped out when they brought JT's Roman back. It was okay when the Sami/Austin/Carrie stuff was revealed a bit later but that was the beginning of the end. I still think the early Kristen/Susan stuff was good.

I can see what your saying with Carly and the character trajectory has changed for her. I just see them almost as two different characters, but that sometimes happens when a character is on screen for so long. I find that SJB's Carly was so insecure she made awful choices, but LW's Carly is very confident. Again, it's probably just character changes over the years, but she's less vulnerable than SJB for sure. LW just lacks something SJB had that was more rootable as the scrappy underdog which Carly isn't anymore. BUT I like LW and she saves the character of Carly for me when I generally wouldn't be a fan since I am so pro-Brenda. I don't think any of those female characters were big losses, but it seemed at the time if they weren't immediately a big hit GH just dropped them. Characters like Carly/Brenda need time to develop and I am not saying any of them were even in that potential, but it was like one failed pairing-bye! She drops the urn and the ashes fall. Actually she might knock it over and freaks out, but I would have to re watch the scenes. It's been awhile. I just remember her screaming at Sonny A LOT Here it is. She does throw the ashes at Sonny lol.

Yeah that racist line does not age well at all, but NLG really killed that scene and spoke several non racist truths to Sonny. I liked the idea of Kristina and the actual initial story, but they truly have failed her as an adult on the show. I liked that it was right around the time Sonny thought he would never be able to have a biological child and Kristina was his first. Little did we know................ I think LW plays Carly more soccer mom than poor white trash, but I don't hate it. There is just something more polished about her than SJB's Carly. I can't really imagine SJB's Carly interacting with Josslyn or even Michael. I am sure SJB is more than capable of making it work, but I just have a hard time picturing her doing it. I think Jamie Ray Newman falls in line with a lot of young heroines in that basic era that weren't well received at first and GH just ditches them almost immediately. Chloe, Hannah, V, Miranda, Angel, Kristina, Reese, Summer etc. That's why the show has a hard time finding a female lead outside of Carly because the only leads they tried to make work in that era were Courtney and Sam. Yes. This was the beginning of the set up for Brenda's return. I believe that's why she's even referenced in Alexis's tirade even though they didn't ever really interact before this.

I liked OG Kristina for some reason. She was super aggressive about telling Sonny the truth about Alexis and the baby which was really none of her business but I liked her. I think I am easily bewitched by people with red hair although I hated Siobhan and demon young Michael. Jamie Ray Newman won an Oscar for producing and still acts, so I think it turned out okay for her. BTW, my fave Alexis scene of all time is when she throws the ashes of Kristina at Sonny at her funeral. And Alexis says something super racist about Sonny being a peasant or worker for her family. But that scene was good.

Yeah, and Kristina is basically useless to the writers anyways so it's all for nothing. I do get kinda grossed out the Dante/Sam share multiple siblings lol. I can't recall a single second either though they must have had scenes. Probably not memorable ones I guess. I will always like both TB and LW as Carly (TB is my fave), but it's a shame Sarah couldn't continue to play her through the years. I would love to see her take on Carly today. The character of Carly has just moved so far away from what it was intended to be.

Probably all of the above on the Ted King situation, but I remember hearing MB was especially jealous of him. Ted King and Laura Wright tend to have chemistry with most people they interact with (outside of MB and SBu for her lol), so I would have been okay with it. It seems weird they have not brought back his and Skye's kid to mix with the teen scene. Did Claudia and Jax interact much? I can't really remember. I know Jax was part of all the shenanigans but I can't particularly remember him and Claudia.

Wasn't MB who made it clear Ted King couldn't be frontburner again? I don't think either Alcazar brothers were that well developed. I kind of like the crazier Luis tbh. It does seem like the obvious route to put LW/TK back together on a new soap, but I don't remember them having much chemistry on The City. I have always really enjoyed CarJax and I know I have said I think TB/IR had chemistry when they worked at that Club together. I don't think SJB and IR had enough scenes to even evaluate chemistry, but her Carly does feel much more raw and too gritty for Jax. Jax tends to prefer damsels in distress and that is not how I would ever describe SJB's Carly. I liked Jax's role with Carly and her kids and it made so much sense for both characters. I would be 100% fine if CarJax were endgame because I think that's LW's best pairing and the show is just treading water with her and Sonny.

I think the Jax character took a major hit post-Brenda's return. I remember him frequenting hookers off screen and that seemed so unlike Jax. Anyhow, he basically brutally dumped Skye for nothing. I can't believe Jax would ever, ever, leave Brenda at the altar like that. It was so awful and then he offered her money. Ugly stuff that Jax wouldn't ever do. I know it's dramatic and all but Jax would have broken up with Brenda and her hair extensions, ugly tattoo, and hideous dress in private. Courtney and Jax literally felt like the most random pairing EVER. I don't really have an opinion on them one way or another, but I felt it came out of nowhere. But it led him to Carly lol. So there is some investment in IR/Jax because they wouldn't have paired him with LW. Or maybe they just couldn't find anyone tall enough for her and Jax was it lol. The lack of investment in TC/Nik in later years might be due to his personal problems and his lack of interest in even trying to act than Guza losing interest. It was so clearly Brenda's story it's not even funny. They didn't even change it really. There just wasn't much investment between Sonny or Jax being the dad in the way it would have been with Brenda. I still wish VM stayed for that. I think it would have been a good story and I think the kid probably would have lived and maybe saved us from the 10 other children Sonny had in the future and I thought Jason/Brenda were kind of hot the first time around. I was willing to watch it.

Sonny. She started having an affair with him and got knocked up with baby Lila who could have possibly been Jax's but wasn't. She hooked up with Jason later. It was clearly a Brenda plot literally that was foisted on Sam. She gets knocked up by Sonny and falls for Jason which is where the show was headed with the Brenda stuff until VM abruptly left.

Yes, V left with a multi millionaire that Chloe introduced her too. I think his name was Simon. I agree it was probably way too soon to put Jax/V together after the whole Sonny/Brenda saga, but if MB and VM both left the show with Sonny/Brenda married I think it would have been okay eventually. Ugh....those Jax/Sam promos were a lot. And it was so soon after VM left. Obviously it worked out for KeMo, but I don't think any of that promotion helped her cause at all. I don't even think Sam/Jax were the worst, but that promotion and pimping was just asking for trouble especially since I don't think Jax as a character came off very well after the whole Brenda/Skye non wedding debacle. But KeMo/Sam's success is a case where the show tried really hard and it was a failure and they worked around it to make Sam viable. I mean, I personally think Sam is the worst but she's been on the show for almost 2 decades and has fans, so whatever. Print ads seem to be a curse, but all those couples looked very pretty together lol.

So I am continuing with the Possession and tbh it is starting to drag a bit. I do love how everyone tells Marlena she looks like crap and she does, but RUDE. And her ridiculous glasses ha ha! Marlena slinking around town so un Marlena like trying to seduce Father John is pretty hilarious. John really can't figure this out. Those two crazies! MarDevil would have gotten his soul if Kristen didn't cock block it lol. The one thing about the Possession that is slightly unclear is that is the Devil manipulating John to remember his sexy times with Marlena or is he just realizing his love for her again? It seems like clear manipulation, but I think JER is going for rediscovered love. I just don't know if I should believe John is still attracted to Marlena or if the Devil is making him attracted to her again. Obviously, history would say he's still attracted to her, but the show makes it confusing right now. Kristen still has a chance! John found a new nanny. Don't like this baby Belle. I like the one from Aremid better. OGBrady is still adorbs even though I don't think he talks. It came out Mike gave away Marlena's security code! I thought that just faded away, but it didn't. I think I might skip ahead to the exorcism because I am kind of bored with all these false alarms. Idk, Devil, is a Fake Priest's soul really worth all this? Why does the Devil even want John's soul? He in general isn't very religious at all except for these 12 months while Marlena is possessed.

Oh Angel. That was a rough storyline. I don't think she even deserves the credit for being a Brendabot. She wasn't even Hannah level. She was much lower. I find Angel Boris to be a highly unlikable actress and it was just a miss on every level. As far as Hannah, I don't think LV was given much of a chance after the Sonny/Hannah pairing tanked. I think they tried a lot with her in the beginning, but MB was pretty vocal of his dislike of the pairing and I think GH just cut their losses instead of seeing where she could possibly go. At least LV got a husband out of the deal lol!

Seriously, I used to think Sami/Roman were hella creepy. She was acting like his new wife and it was just almost incestuous. I also think it was really crappy of Roman to allow that behavior. He was 100% justified in being angry at Marlena but he seemed to take joy in Sami/Marlena's fractured relationship and did little to help it. I didn't hate Sami (and I mostly have always liked her), but she really only gets a year or two limit on being mad at John/Marlena. After that it's annoying. Like where's your daddy when you gave birth? Will was kidnapped? Multiple Austin/Carrie/Sami weddings? Near death via Austin's car? There were no cards, letters, or phone calls, but Roman is still the best! Ugh.. And I never called my father "Daddy" and it creeps me out when adults do it lol. It might just be a personal thing for me.

I am trying to remember her intro and it was all about that weird story where people thought Jax was a drug dealer and the awful tin man saga. I remember she liked to draw lol. Honestly, she was just a casualty to Vanessa re-signing last minute. Sonny and Brenda leaving together was a done deal and VM screwed it up so they just went back to Jax/Brenda and that breakdown nonsense. How I wish VM decided to leave in 97. I like 98 Brax, but overall not worth it. They at least gave V a happy ending, so I guess it's fine. She was a good C character. I don't think she would have held up that well as Jax's love interest though. But Jax doesn't seem to have a particular type (except women that loved Sonny first lol), so I don't think it was a stretch for him to be attracted to her. He's not Sonny zoning in on any petite brunette he can find lol. V was fairly solidly involved in the Sonny/Jax/Brenda/tinman stuff and I remember her being good with Ned for some reason. Although by the time she officially left the show I think I forgot she was technically still on it. She was sort of wasted, but at least they completed her arc if you will.

It was such a mistake to hire LV because she literally looked like Lily/Brenda had a baby and she was the result. Everything was similar from the hair to the body type. Sonny's an idiot for not figuring out she was an FBI agent from the jump. The show would have been much better served if they hired someone that didn't look like a replacementBrenda like Chloe. I really thought V and Jax were going to become a thing, but perhaps that all got dropped because VM decided to stay last minute and Brax was back on. I like the actress, but again, I think she looked a lot like the actress that played Miranda and that threw me off. I don't see any similarities between Chloe/Katherine except they are both blonde and interacted with Ned lol Lol! She's was pretty and I think she looked a lot like Miranda so it would vaguely fit Jax's type.

I think LV's biggest curse is she looked so much like Vanessa Marcil. I know KeMo is considered the ultimate Brendabot, but Hannah should have worn a stamp of her face saying "Brenda's replacement" lol. I know that was literally why Hannah was brought in from the FBI but it was a lot. I thought LV was pretty decent with AJ and Taggert, but at that point she really was such a flop and Sonny/Carly had taken off. She left town after finding out Roy was her father to go to Alaska lol. The show did try with her. Chloe was just less in your face as a Brenda replacement and I think I wanted Jax to find love moreso than Sonny so I liked her. I am not saying she lit the show on fire with her presence, but I liked her. I loved V. I never got why the show completely dropped the Jax/V romance. I never thought Chloe was a Katherine replacement lol

I always think Perry King is an unsung hero of Spelling soaps. From Brooke's dad/Alison's hubby on Melrose to the Patriarch in Titans. I remember him and Victoria Principal. I also remember Casper Van Dien because he was so bad lol.

From my understanding, and I believe it comes from Drake interviews, Isabella was to be a part of the affair storyline. SG asked for a ton of money and they let her leave thus the Isabella cancer story and the affair was put on hold for about a year. I believe there were concerns that Deidre looked too old for Drake, which maybe she did, but it certainly evened out over the years. I think once they gave them a kid it was endgame for them, but I think Days/NBC was open to trying John out with others because they could always just re-hire Wayne and do RoMar again. I feel like there were periods in the early 90's where the show really went with Isabella/John and Marlena/Roman. Marlena/John didn't really interact much after the Tale of 2 Romans until the Pit. I like Roman/Marlena because Wayne and Deidre had a nice comedic chemistry as opposed to the angst that was always Jarlena. Roman was written into a corner though. He just treated Marlena badly and his kids to the point you were okay with Marlena banging John. I think Roman's anger over the affair rang true, but I don't think his departure did. I don't believe he would have left his kids again and I do think he would have forgiven Marlena eventually. Those were pretty extraordinary circumstances they were all playing out and I think Marlena would have done anything to keep Roman and totally keep John out of her life.

Lol I almost said everything except Charles in Charge. I remember Aaron Spelling really trying to make her a thing with her appearances in 90210 and she always annoyed me. Like David was going to pick her over Donna lol. I don't know something about her bugs me. Tbh, Ingo wasn't terribly memorable in Titans either, but he looked hot.

Pacific Palisades was boring. Sorry Finola! Titans was much glossier and had more potential. I agree the primetime soap was dead by then but I think the cast was pretty good. Josie Davies has always been a miss for me in every role though.

Yeah, I thought the cast was good and the promos were good. The writing wasn't great, but it wasn't really given a chance. I think it could have gelled given a full season. So Ingo and NLG are 15 years!! apart in age. I didn't realize it was that much. He was still a fairly hot commodity in 1999/2000 so I could see network interference on that and maybe not IR. To be fair, I never thought Alexis looked that much older than Jax and it never bothered me.

Thanks for finding that! I knew it was there I was just using stupid keywords I guess lol. Everything really lined up overall with the Brenda return stuff as if GH actually thought about it. Jax burning the test results in 1998, the arms dealer rescuing her, Brenda's tendency to love shady characters like Sonny, her fear of going insane etc basically worked. Jax is apparently the world's worst private investigator since he literally had her in 2000 and came up with nothing until she showed up at his door 2 years later. I am not going to lie. I liked Titans lol. I was bummed it got cancelled so quick.

For some reason I recall hearing he thought Alexis was too old for Jax but I could be wrong. I don't think they said Mr. Alcazar, but they did say she was with an international arms dealer so it generally tracks. Her saying, "i am worth the wait" is so soapy and is why she is my queen forever lol. I can't find it on you tube, but I am 99.9% sure it's there somewhere.
