Lol. I don't think Avery has appeared this year. She should be SORAS'd shortly. Donna is such a cute little bug. I just love that girl. And, yeah, I 100% agree she should not exist or that Sonny should have a child younger than his grandkids. But she's so cute and doesn't say "Papa" all the time or try to sing so she's a cut above Violet and Charlotte, which is just faint praise.

I would argue Britt has never had real character development. Some periods where she wasn't the worst human, but we aren't talking about Sarah Brown's Carly or Brenda lol. Characters that actually had slow development and changed. Probably. It just isn't in any stretch of the imagination. So I assume GH will double down on Britt being Rocco/Ben's true mom.

The thing is Nathan actually is his dad and he and Maxie were married and wanted the child. I have a hard time correlating the situations in my brain because they are so different.

I like James too!! He and Donna are the two little kids I can tolerate even if Donna shouldn't exist. She's adorable. But don't trust my judgement. I like Outback the dog more than half the cast.

Little James gets to carry the story. He misses the dad he never met and all.

I don't think we know if Sidwell was behind Maxie's coma, but it's likely. Idk, it seems like we could have moved Nathan back a few months, but I assume it's to prop Britt and not an actual story. I did like the Lois/Tracy scenes today and laughed at Ned telling BLQ he had an affair with Monica. Her, "duh, obviously I know that" response was funny.

Exactly. And the hopefully I will be back by November isn't promising. I'd rather she said nothing at all then giving some lame excuse about moving. Doesn't Steve live in Nashville? Or at least he did when he was with his former wife? I never heard of him having issues showing up besides the vax so probably not the best example lol. But my point is numerous soaps stars don't actually live in LA and plan around it and don't need a helicopter like Jensen Buchanan. Does Kirsten need a helicopter to get her to set?

I'll beat a dead horse one last time lol. To me it's not a big deal she's gone or that she's no longer a lead. It's the clear preferential treatment Storms gets to basically dictate her own schedule. Many more important actors and vets have been canned for much less. As you said, we can't figure anything out for JJ, but let's roll out the red carpet for KT and RP, who no one cares about. Let's give Kirsten 16 years to move!!! But JJ has less than a year and very little writing.

Because she won't and Frank won't take her off contract. Which is nice for her and I think Frank is doing her a solid. But when Maxie is missing in a story about HER husband and father of her child it's glaring. She isn't subtly missing from the canvas like Lulu was in her coma. This story should be a Maxie story. And I suppose we wait until Storms decides she can come back hopefully sometime at the end of the year, but no promises. Mac, Felicia, the kid that plays James and maybe Spinelli have to do the heavy lifting here? Fine, but none of these actors get the consideration that Storms does. Nathan returning is on GH. It wasn't necessary, but the show can't even play the proper beats without Maxie.

I am not saying she should be banned for life from GH, but when her public excuses are always relatively mild things that people deal with every day like moving (which she doesn't have to) or skin issues it's vague on paper. Have you ever known anyone who had the luxury of taking an entire year off and still be employed for endometriosis? To me she's basically calling Frank and saying, "Meh, I can't work for half a year, I hope that's okay". I think everyone here is reading between the lines and digging deeper because there's obviously other things at play, but going by Kirsten Storms's actual excuses she's taking time off for very minor issues. I hope she's well and I can give her grace, but, lol, I am moving and I need the entire rest of the year off is ridiculous. Kirsten doesn't owe me or anyone any explanation or excuse, but when she gives silly ones I think I can judge them. I make fun of Amanda Setton and her wardrobe all the time. I think she should be recast, but she physically shows up for work and does her job even if I don't agree with her performance.

I think that's a fair assessment. But people in regular jobs in real life don't get that cushion. BB seems like a responsible father. There has to be a lot of reasons he got full custody of the child. Idk, with Tyler's passing it feels like GH should be a bit more responsible about giving KS options instead of coddling her. But of course I am just spit balling as I don't know if KS has substance/mental issues.

Not to be contrary as you know I love you, but having to literally go on "medical leaves" for extended periods at time isn't exactly requesting time off, but c'mon. Wasn't one medical leave for a frickin rash? Or skin ailment? Almost a year off for endometriosis is also excessive from personal experience.

I agree there are probably health issues that we don't know about and GH could be liable for firing her. It's the transparency that bothers me the most. Please just say you are struggling or there are other factors in play. No one needs a time break like that to move and to pretend like that's acceptable irritates me to no end. And they are still paying her to not be on screen! Go find Jen Lilley at God's channel or Molly Burnett . It's not like KS is a Sarah Brown performer. She's likeable at best and isn't willing to commit to the minimum requirements like showing up every day. I could understand, perhaps, if she was truly a single parent, but from my understanding Barash has always had full custody of the girl and is an active parent. He's married and stable. KS doesn't need to roam around Nashville for 6 months to, Idk, find a daycare or school for her child.

I would let her go. She's a liability that makes her own rules at this point. I am sure she's probably a nice person, but she can't reliably show to act and it's not even like she's on that often. Plenty of women would kill to have her job. Would your job ever let you take 6 months off to move?

Exactly. A nice little happy ending until Kirsten figures out...whatever. That's a satisfying conclusion to the character arc. Bringing Nathan in when there's literally no Maxie is stupid and undermines the Spixie pairing which I actually like.

At this point I don't think it's fair Kirsten gets all these passes on when she feels like she wants to work. She's never claimed mental illness or substance abuse so at this point she just seems lazy? Deciding when she wants to work, what she wants to wear, how she styles herself, etc. I would have recast years ago. People move all the time. It doesn't take 6 months. And, yes, I have moved across country before.

I mean, I am not even shipping Dillon coming back lol. I just want better casting if they do decide to go that way. Lovely that there is a whole Maxie story with Nathan that Kirsten Storms opted out of because she has to move for 5000 years or do whatever. GH should just fire her.

I thought SC was a great Dillon. Obviously he won't return. GH needs to go outside the box to find a new Dillon and not cast dull hunks like Robert Palmer Watkins. Dillon has always had more depth than the Nathans and Chases. I could see someone like Blake Berris working as Dillon.
