  1. Wrong. Lol. There's actual proof she helped ratings every time. I don't even like some of the material especially in 2010, but there is no indication it ever hurt the show or even the character of Brenda.
  2. Nina and CW were comedically bad at that lie! 😂
  3. It's all very background and doesn't really move any story. We don't get Carly's POV on why she hates Brenda (although I think recasts explain it), but Brenda's POV is pretty clear in that she's defending Robin and the whole wacky situation with Jason/Carly/Michael, as Brenda doesn't know Michael is AJ's kid. Jax/Brenda were on a fairly obnoxious tour-at the time-about how bad the mob was.
  4. The one thing I can't imagine is SJB's Carly getting shot in the head by Sonny and forgiving him.
  5. Well Brenda is always on topic for me, but I assume others disagree 😂 Most of the Carly/Brenda scenes are Brenda trashing Jason and defending Robin. Brenda doesn't actually care about Carly in general. It makes sense for current day Carly to feel inferior to Brenda in her own head because Brenda did think she was just trash. Very different from how people treat Queen Carly now. Brenda (and Robin) are characters that break the facade that Carly's evolved. She just married up. I am disappointed Lois wasn't side eyeing Carly more.
  6. There's one scene at Sonny/Jason's penthouse, a scene at Wyndam's? where Carly asks Brenda if she's shopping for a new straitjacket and there are scenes from the Dock's Gala shooting. All are from 1998 and were on youtube under a Brenda/Jax 1998 playlist. But that's off topic lol.
  7. Nina is a very disposable character. I am not sure why she lingers around. At least put her back with Sonny so I don't have to watch DA Lady. Chase is a non-entity to me. If you ask me to describe him I would say nice and handsome. That's it lol. There is just nothing interesting about him or even him and Brook Lynn. Curtis/Jordan/Portia always replay the same story and triangle. With Portia being the bad guy. It's tired. I still find the show highly watchable, but as @Vee said it's difficult to ignore the problems especially when you know it's Frank's vision only basically and nothing will change.
  8. It is off topic, but I also wish we got to see more Sarah's Carly and Brenda spar. I get why the narrative now is Carly/Brenda were long term rivals, but they honestly barely knew one another lol. The most compelling Brenda material in 1998 was her plane crash with Jason. Anyhow, as far as both Sasha and Willow go they were just characters that were there for 7 years with unmemorable stories. Sasha got interesting right before she left and obviously Willow is like a brand new character. Rory has revitalized Michael. So basically while the show still has it serious flaws, it's done great work with formerly snoozy characters like Sasha, Michael, Willow, and Drew. The Britt/Jason nonsense is DOA from the start though. I am sorry, but Britt is a seriously unlikeable human being. I didn't go in with an open mind because I dislike KT/Britt, but this story has done nothing to change my opinion.
  9. Brenda got really boxed in with the breakdown story and Jax taking her back. Like obviously he would but 1998 for Brenda felt a little less chaotic if that makes sense. A new lease on life, Robin as her roomate in her own cottage, her and Jax being cutely dull. I don't think Lois was ever a spare part exactly. She was almost in every story but more B character reacting. I think the OG idea of Lois/Jax before Rena decided to leave had possibilities. Of course, Vanessa would walk into the room and have fire chemistry with Ingo and it would all fall apart, but the idea was interesting.
  10. Her being on the show for 7 years had zero impact lol. I guess Daisy is something you can bring back. If you put it into perspective of like Lois was on the show for less than three years and Brenda's original run was about 6 years. Think of what those characters did in that time and think about Sasha just hanging around for all those years.
  11. Probably. Sofia Mattson is a beautiful woman but she's not a supermodel. And then we double down on it all to make her Robert and Holly's child.. just to drop her. It's hilarious because she was on the show for so long. I hope Daisy enjoys those homecooked meals lol
  12. Haha! Lucas was also non plussed. I guess my patient is going to have to wait another 12 hours in the ER, but Liz-what's the tea on Willow today? I'll be honest Willow being a teacher then a nurse then just deciding to be a stay at home mom/charity worker was sudden. When PM decided EVERYONE needed to question their careers it felt odd. I could see it as a more gradual transition for Willow. Sasha going from "supermodel" to family cook was probably the worst though.
  13. Oh, I would absolutely get rid of Willow or ask for another nurse like Sonny did. They way Liz said it was so hilariously casual though. Like I guess she's gone? Good luck with your test results Lucas!
  14. Lol! I was laughing at Elizabeth just saying Willow dipped out on her shift. Like Liz you are her boss? Why aren't we more concerned about that from a business standpoint? You can't just start losing nurses at this point.
  15. It seems like her most notable role would be on CBS's Ransom several years ago? Not really the point though lol. I know it's not the easiest task in the world to create chemistry with Mo/Sonny, but this is painful. It doesn't even feel like human interaction. Claire Walsh at least briefly had an agenda to take Sonny down and was a lame spoiler for a returning Brenda. DA Turner just dislikes Sonny? Dislikes the mob? She's not an active threat to Sonny, so I don't know why they even interact. I honestly don't remember Jordan Baines at all lol.
  16. Jake is actually an interesting choice I hadn't contemplated. I was secretly hoping Scout just had enough of her dad's nonsense lol. But seriously, Willow is the way to go. I honestly thought Sidwell's wife was just a pretty woman and not an actual actress. Apparently acting is her career of choice. I would agree that Vultaggio is better and I am positive I have never complimented her before. DA Turner is one of the most unnatural actresses on the planet. She's lucky Rachel Boyd's Sophia on Days exists or I would name her the most stilted performer on soaps. Hannah at least had a purpose. An ill-conceived purpose, but there was a point to the character. There is literally no point to this DA lady.
  17. Oh, yeah, I guess that makes sense too. I was perhaps giving Days too much credit and thinking eventually they might flashback to a scene where Aaron did ask her that and she assured him it wasn't.
  18. The one conversation Aaron and Sophia had around graduation when Aaron said he'd thought he and Sophia would end up together really made me think the show might go there with the baby story. I fear Aaron and Ari might become an item though. Sadly, he's pretty much her only option unless I missed a casting call or spoiler (totally possible).
  19. I almost wonder if DT was irritated by being given a grown daughter with Trina-like he feels it stifles some of Curtis's ability to move on to other women and he's permanently tied to Portia.
  20. That's exactly what it feels like. Both Portia and Isaiah could be tested with other non-black cast members. It's the same thing GH has been doing for years. And now Curtis and Jordan will be back together. Meh.
  21. No. It's not very well set up IMO. I have never gotten chemistry or heat from them in scenes before they hooked up. I am absolutely fine with Portia/Curtis breaking up but I only got a sense of mutual admiration from Portia/Isaiah. The whole thing seems fast and not very believable.
  22. It would definitely make more sense if Sophia made moves towards Tate during her pregnancy or Sophia/Tate briefly got back together when Holly/Tate broke up. She had the oppurtunity then. Now, it's silly because there is nothing tying her to Tate. Holly just seems petty. Trust your boyfriend. Calm down. I highly doubt Sophia/Tate are going to hook up by the chowder bowl at the Pub. It's kind of awkward on Roman's part to hire them both, but they do have experience and there's only 3 or 4 places to work in Salem so here we are.
  23. EJ said he had an assistant/right hand (meaning Rita),but said he could use someone to do more everyday menial tasks like Cat. The Sophia/Holly fight felt a little silly. One girl has just given up a baby and lost so much and Holly is just mad Tate/Sophia work together? I think Rachel Boyd/Sophia is a total dud, but maybe Holly could go hang out with Ari or get her own job instead of following Tate/Sophia.
  24. Yay! At least I don't have to worry about him on GH in the near future!
  25. It makes Mo look older. It reminds me of all those years they had Drake/John dye his hair that muddy brown on Days. When he let it go silver fox he looked so much better. They let Dante/DZ have grey in his hair and he's Sonny's son. I wonder if Mo says it's a "GH thing", but it really is a Mo idea lol. I hate the same thing about those type of kidnappings. I always wonder how they use the bathroom lol. I find the Rick kidnapping interesting although I agree with those who say it's being played a little campy and silly. It is a goofy situation so I don't mind that much. I like that it gives NLG, Mansi, and West something fun to play. The 5 poppies story is a snooze. I didn't think anything Britt related would be good, but I am surprised at how lackluster it is. And how inept Joss/Vaughn are as WSB agents.
