The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Hey, ya'll. I'm too old to be shy about birthdays anymore, and I don't do coy well. June 4, 2007, I will be turning 41. I've posted my birthday wish list here. Almost all of it is free. Please take a look and see if you can make an increasingly old woman's birthday a little brighter....

I may try to write a quick Mother's Day story. Or not. Sister Mary Hotpants is demanding her day, and frankly, I have lots of errands/chores to complete today that I blew off yesterday. Hope all are doing well today--it's a lovely Monday here.

Hey, I'm off to take my MIL out for Mother's Day, but I wanted to give you all a little gifty--Part Seven of Roomies. http://community.livejournal.com/tq_ficathon/80529.html And, no, it doesn't end there, and no, it's not what you expect, because I'm evil that way.

Happy Mother's Day, ya'll. I'm trying desperately to escape my apathy and help out poor Sister Mary Hotpants, but I am not sure if that's even possible at this point. I got a line written. I'm such a looosssaaawwwww.... Tracy is in the spoilers for tomorrow, right? So, if things go according to schedule, this is the point where we all build our hopes up and get them dashed when her scenes are cut--oh, wait! They won't get cut, because it's more Laura-propping. Okay, I'm going back to Sister Mary Hotpants. I'm not suitable company for anybody right now. Have a good day, guys, and take care.

Wow. It's a sad day where you get bored just Page-Downing through the Live Posts at SZ. Can this show get duller? I haven't even watched it, and I'm bored out of my mind. Somebody tell me Tracy will be on again soon...please!

Hooked, this was wonderful! I really enjoyed it--the plot, the narrative, the description. Very good story. Thank you so much for writing/posting it.

Hooked, if I bring nothing else out of my Tracy addiction but a knowledge of and appreciation for the Dyke Purse, it will have been well worth the time. I'm so jealous of you for playing hookie; I wanted to call in sick sooooo bad today (and yesterday). But I have to save five vacation days for our trip in December, which leaves me with only one more personal day to play with for the rest of the year. I am just going to have to tough it out and go to work, even when I feel like sleeping in and watching television all day. MsQ, are you going to start posting spoilers en espanol, cuz that might be a bit much. Free Translation Dot Com doesn't work so good, ya know, and well, I need my spoilers. The antidepressants are working too well, and spoilers give me that safe, familiar feeling of paranoia and mistrust. Speaking of paranoia and mistrust, any Q spoilers for today or next week?

Sad to say, but most of the really cool stuff I've learned in my life, I've learned from fandom. Like, Star Trek taught me about the concept of entropy. Harry Potter taught me about the Italian Resistance in WWII (don't ask) and fine wines. I've learned more about expensive clothes, wilderness survival, fine alcohol, and corporate politics from General Hospital than I ever would have in school. Add espanol to that ever-growing list. And they say TV rots your brain.

MsQ, despite the fact that I am still grasping helplessly at understanding English, and that the only languages I ever fumbled through in school were French and German, I would be perfectly content to get emails in Spanish from you. I might only understand 1/5 of what you say, but Tracy is Universal, right? And now that I know the following important phrases, I'll be fine: pelo malo, pelo bueno, and aventura amorosa tórrida. PinkPopsicle, thanks for the Baby Boom caps. And, wow, even I can't justify that look on Jane. Just sooo not a good look for her. Was her performance at least good?

TL, thanks for the clarification on "The City" versus "Town." My guess, then? He was knocking back beers at Jake's, which is infinitely more dull than playing One-Sided Telephone with Tracy and Alan. Besides, the women are hotter at the Qmansion.... No TQ on today. More of the Baby Jasus and SkyeLo and CarJaxSonJerNikUmRob. Yeah. I'm confused too.... Been thinking about Sister Mary Hotpants. Still haven't gotten over that last writing debaucle, but I think I want to finish that stupid story soon....

What Luke is doing in "The City:" 1. Hanging out in jazz clubs, listening to music, flirting and getting drunk. 2. "Taking care of business." 3. Running away from his problems. 4. Running away from himself. 5. Hiding from his own demons in the crowd. I think if I wanted to forget myself and my life, I'd go someplace busy and crowded and just watch people...maybe insert the occasional wry comment on The State of Things. I don't think Luke was up to any monkey business. I think his comment was accurate; he went to The City, hung out, got bored, and came home to be with his playmate.

Dang. Still can't edit posts from my home computer. Just a quick note to tell MsQ that the "Opening Credits" LuNacy vid ROCKED. The music was perfect sit-com theme music, the credits were perfect, the clips were perfect, the pacing/effects were perfect--this was just perfect. When I pitch my LuNacy spin-off, we're just going to have to use this vid, aren't we? Yeah. We so are.... Feeling much cleaner now.

Hooked, I would have thought that "Town" was NYC. Back when I lived in Louisiana, it was just common knowlege that "Town" or "The City" meant New Orleans. I'm thinking people in New York talk the same way about NYC. BTW, SchatzePage loaded the *teeeny* clip of Ms. J.'s performance on L&O to the JE.com site. Three's almost nothing to it, but she looks way purty (in a soft-butch kind of way). I still think her character's is amoral and predatory in a way that is terribly creepy, but here is the link. http://www.divshare.com/download/606633-29e Does anybody have Tuesday's clips of the LuNacy scenes? I feel very much with the not-clean after rewatching that Randi Smolen (that's her name from IMDB) clip.

It was only a matter of time--they're looking so happy and couple-y. Of course we get a spoiler like this. Have I mentioned I love TracyQ? She really rocks the world.

Thank you, clip queens Nex and MsQ! Nex, I've gone ahead and downloaded yesterday's clips. Yah, that kiss is going to make it into a lot of vids. And Stace--thanks SO much for Tracy/Mitch. Wow. Her standards have gone WAY up, haven't they? She seemed so worried about him, and I'm like, "he's a LOOSAHHHHHH!" My foot is firmly back on the LuNacy bus. I had this wonderful thought about a line that should have been on yesterday's episode. Luke and Tracy have their final scene together, ending with the hug. But there should have been one more exchange between them. Luke should have pulled back a little, gazed at Tracy with this dazed expression on his face and said, "Oh, gawd. I'm a grandfather!" And Tracy, with that beautiful supportive wife expression she's been wearing pauses a beat and says gently, "Yeah...sucks, doesn't it?" That's MY LuNacy.....

Behold, I have seen a great star shining in the eastern sky! It is the son of Jason, born this day in Port Charles. Rejoice one and all, because well, gosh, at least ... Nope. I'm done. Can't find anything to rejoice about except TRACY on today. Oh, and my DVD of Company: The Original Cast Recording documentary should be in the mailbox from Netflix today! (Fey is going to coast on this birthday present for MONTHS.)

Sorry to disappoint, knh. i saw how Fey reacted to the story I wrote, and how I felt after writing it. The story was good, but it was also disturbing. And while I champion free speech and freedom of creative expression, I also think a writer has a responsibility to consider the effect their story will have on the readers. It may be that both Fey and I are extra sensitive to this kind of story, but when both of us felt icky (for lack of a better word) after reading it, I felt it was better for my readers to just hold it back. There are lots of good stories out there that I can write, and I don't have to add to the negative and unpleasant things that are already cluttering up what passes for entertainment. To be honest, I doubt most people would find it offensive. But it works on specific triggers, and there are those who are vulnerable to them. I'm already working out my next bunny--I'm such a follower. I'm thinking TrAsh.

sorry about the above. On further consideration, I pulled that story (see above). It really was a sordid little story. Just because you have the ability to capture the nastiness in a character doesn't mean you should feel compelled to share it with the world. I'll be back, sooner or later, with more real Tracy stories. In the meantime, LadyAshton has posted Chapter 4 of her TrAsh story, which I can't wait to read.

the truly sickest thing I've written in a long time. Sorry. Thanks to Law & Order for this awful horrible character. http://community.livejournal.com/tq_ficathon/79773.html

Me again. I just pulled this out of Devane's recaps for segments 1 & 2. Kate: Don't know her sonny: Don't care about him Kelly: Isn't she a dayplayer? Epiphany: Hate her song: There's music? Craig: Hate him Emily: Hate her Lucky: Used to love him, now he makes me sad Patrick: Used to love him, now he's in a stupid storyline. Robin: See Patrick Baby: The baby Jasus is born Diane: Don't know her Nik: He doesn't emote much, now that he's dead I remember when I used to like this show.

Oh, wow. Those poor actresses. Who did they tick off in hair and wardrobe! The hair is bad enough. But those outfits! Wholly in agreement with you, MsQ. Lack of Oomph doesn't even begin to cover those atrocities... One hour and 12 minutes to two minutes of Jane! Edit: I'm referring, of course, to Jane's two minute guest-shot on this afternoon's Law and Order (3 pm eastern) on TNT. I'm totally taping it. For two minutes...
