  1. Bill Hayes has said that Bill Bell originally intended for Doug to lead Sister Marie astray in 1970, but tossed that story plan aside when he saw the chemistry between Bill H and Susan Seaforth.
  2. She also played the telephone operator who was heard at the beginning and end of each episode of Grand Hotel.
  3. Teal Ames (Sara Karr) died on October 28. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/pressconnects/obituary.aspx?n=teal-nichols-dougherty-schmidt&pid=197087940&fbclid=IwAR28er46n0Fcx-jHJB2SwXO_kYVSG-kWnwL8lf24SG5FG6_TOFRfMqD3fOU
  4. @slick jonesI found Bob McKee playing Greg Warner on GL, from 1943 (up to Jan. 1944, when he joined the army.
  5. @Franko I think I have a magazine article about filming the scenes of Julie getting burned. I'll try to find it. You can see a few seconds of it here, at around 6:12.
  6. I liked her on Peyton Place too and other things I've seen her in. Maybe it was just too soon for a recast. And I might not feel the same now that I'm an adult, if I had the chance to watch her again.
  7. Susan has said that she wasn't happy during the time her mother was writing the show. Said everyone was coming to her if they had issues with the writing, and then Bill would complain at home. She mentioned last year that she had to have therapy for it, and the show paid for it. Re Rosemary Forsyth, I did like her, much better than I did Susan Oliver anyway. Still, she wasn't as strong a presence as Susan Flannery, who will always be "real" Laura to me.
  8. I enjoyed it. I did wonder why they kept panning to Roger Davis, even when he wasn't talking. Was that some kind of joke because of his reputation as a screen-hog, lol? Roger seemed to spill some tea about Don Briscoe being "in love" with David Henesy's mother.
  9. Dark Shadows virtual reunion on Saturday. KLS posted on FB today that David Henesy will be joining them too!
  10. Stuart Lee was playing Mike when Mickey had his heart attack in 1973. Stuart was reportedly 15 at that time.
  11. For anyone not already subscribing, looks like Watch the Doctors is offering a free month. Use the coupon code NICKALTHEA
  12. Jada talked a bit about The Secret Storm during the Locher Room reunion for The Doctors. She said that when Joan Crawford filled in for Christina, no other female cast members were allowed to be present. 😂
  13. She was also drinking wine, lol.
  14. She would get annoyed when she thought people weren't talking about The Doctors (even when they were), lol. I enjoyed it.
  15. @dc11786 is correct re Barry vs. Barney (and now I'm thinking about Bunny Lake, lol). Found these brief synopses from 1957: Barney Lake delivers a warning. Barney Lake offers Lenore Bradley some free ammunition for a "battle of the sexes." Barney Lake reveals the source of his bitterness.
  16. Oh, wow. Althea is an unusual name so that really is a huge coincidence. Now I’m curious.
  17. @amybrickwallace Did you hear EH mutter to herself, "oh, that guy," when Anna mentioned Allen Potter? I'd love to hear more about that, lol.
  18. I know! I wonder who did the baby's "coo," lol?
  19. Clippings re Right to Happiness, 1939-1942.
  20.
