  1. I watched some of the Kandi and Marlo confrontations, and the problem for me is they just are very draining and have no real energy, especially from Marlo's end. The vibe doesn't mix. I would say "real" beef and not staged drama is a good thing, but this is an instance where reality is a little too real for me to conflicts I avoid being near in life, or seeing on TV.
  2. So we've gone from generic teen dramas to generic fake reality shows for middle-aged men who can find better content elsewhere. All these mergers and buyouts are making TV a wasteland.
  3. For once someone at CNN actually tried to be a journalist, grilling grifter Andrew Yang.
  4. Thanks. You too! I do still watch Home & Away but I guess this thread will now become dormant. If I ever start going back and watching Neighbours from the start, as I keep meaning to, then it will be more active. Maybe someday the show can be revived and we'll have a lot to hope for or speculate on... I guess at least a former Family Affair actress joining Corrie means the other show we talked about is relevant again.
  5. She also supposedly said she would only return if she got to play a different role, which they would not do.
  6. That's about how I was. Teri Hatcher checked out of her part (and became frighteningly thin) and the show decided to just spend every week reuniting cast members of a random show from 1982 rather than writing a script.
  7. Thanks so much @vetsoapfan no wonder I kept thinking I knew her. She was my favorite part of Lois & Clark, before I quit watching that show.
  8. The people who replied are some of the most clear-minded people you'll find on here. I don't think anyone really believes we'll be seeing this material, one way or another. Any random episode or clip from earlier years that shows up is a miracle.
  9. Sadly, when it comes to soap, dismissive is what you always get. Considering this is the paper that ran a puff piece on Hitler, I guess we got off lucky.
  10. JFP seemed to give Maggie the same treatment she gave many heroines - once the decision to make her mostly just exist for an FOJ hunk went down like a lead balloon with fans, she just threw the character away and moved on (with Sofia essentially taking Maggie's place on the canvas while Maggie became a bitch). I remember Eddie Drueding tearing into the Nick/Maggie/Tomas "triangle." Great stuff.
  11. Thanks @RavenWhitney @vetsoapfan I was also wondering about Anita Gillette... @Faulkner That was a nice obit.
  12. Unfortunately I think similar to the Catholic Church exodus, those who are left are more and more extreme and take over various levers of power, with plenty of help from the media that profits from their rise. Even now, you have lunatics out there marching with full tactical gear and just being casually referred to as "Trump supporters."
  13. All too typical. I still wonder if she will even bother to run again. I see the dead end leftists and grifters like Matt Taibbi are feverishly trying to make this about the evils of the Espionage Act and comparing him to their heroes Assange and Snowden. Never mind that Trump pointedly chose not to pardon either of those men, in spite of the usual suspects literally begging him to do so. Nothing Trump does will shake his support. There is no floor. It's not surprising, but it's why there is so little hope left.

  15. Thanks for sharing this. I know Miss Peach was very well-loved by that era of fans.
