  1. I've heard much crazier names in real life than Mignon Sentell. From a November 1982 Digest.
  2. A November 1982 Digest catchup on the cast. For some reason I couldn't get the first page to load but all it was was 1982-era photos of Veleka Gray, Leslie Charleson, Donna Mills, Ed Power. This was put together by Linda Susman.

  5. Anyone know when this is from in 1986? I always enjoy watching the Fletcher/Reva friendship. It's too bad it was forgotten later on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF87QaKRkIc
  6. In one of the 1982 clips when Viki is in prison, Pat and Tony visit her separately and at one point they seem to mention a foster child or boy who may have to go back to his mother. I guess that was Jimmy. Cue the "why did they kill off so many of Viki's siblings" rant.
  7. From a November 1982 Digest.
  8. I don't think this was mentioned yet. A 1984 Capitol episode (not sure of the date) says Brenda is being played for the day by Shannon Terhune (??). Was Leslie Graves just out for a while or is this when she was gone for good? This girl seems a bit bimbo-ish. The clips I've seen of Leslie are tougher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxtOFjHtRkY&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
  9. In a March 1985 Digest, John Kelly Genovese remembers The Secret Storm.
  10. This user doesn't seem to post much anymore but last year they uploaded several Capitol episodes. I'll put the first two clips and you can find the rest. These are from 1984 - I'm not sure when. I'm sorry it took them so long to change their opening - to me this one always looked like a public access show or one of those intros for the uncle on Fraggle Rock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5a2-drTJkE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BjOL8obrPA&feature=related
  11. Thanks. I hadn't seen that in a while. I guess she dated that man before remarrying her husband. Did you notice Brad Davis or F. Murray Abraham as anything special at the time? I know you said you didn't care for Michael Hawkins in his various soap roles - what did you think of Ken Kercheval? I wonder why they didn't pair Armand Assante and Lauren White up on The Doctors (or did they, I can't remember).
  12. Ha ha I love this. It sucks that they stopped doing this type of promotion.
  13. A few clips I hadn't seen before.
  14. Who played Mignon? Was she fun? I always lose track of the various Sentells, Tourners, McClearys, etc. I was looking through some old posts about Janet and you mentioned that Mary Ellis Bunim strongarmed Lemay into having a female character brutally raped. That wasn't Sunny, right? I still never understand why the show just casually wrote Janet out when she had so many people on the show. Perhaps it was cost-cutting, but it's just strange to me they would write out the mother of the show's lead heroine at that point.
  15. That sounds very moving. Do you think the main story, Jennifer Harmon's divorce, was the weakest part of the show?
  16. I meant the whole racism story that seemed so rushed and tacked onto the character.
  17. Oh I forgot he played that part. So I have seen him. He was OK on there, just a little too old for the story to fully work. Yes. He was Laura's boss, Scooter, at the real estate place she worked out. They fell for each other, and he was going to leave his wife (Rosemary) but I think she got pregnant again by Richard.
  18. A rarely seen 1983 DAYS clip, a year I don't know all that much about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOV9u4t4jFE I always feel such a strong emotional connection with Launa Sanders when I watch her performances.
  19. Sharon must still be trying to stay in the business, as her photos at IMDB seem fairly recent and look like the type of professional shots submitted to IMDB.
  20. Thanks. That sounds very harrowing and yet also easy to relate to. I can see why the woman who played Fran got so many letters and cards from viewers.
  21. Love these promos, especially the second. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3dyvNnr8Dg&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KXJ1DbH4cE&feature=related

  23. Well, Claire Labine was going to try a "Children's Hour" story...beyond that, the closest is probably Lucy's HIV-positive friend, who appeared during part of 95-96. I can't remember if they said he was gay or if it was implied. There was also that strange, presumably unintentional period from 2000-2003 where I thought most of the younger male characters were a few drinks away from an orgy.
  24. Nice photos! I wish Rod Arrants hadn't gotten the perm/afro. I hope that wasn't any Luke homage.
