Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Joyce grew on me with that HILARIOUS hair flipping fight with Lisa. I love her now. Carlton has had my heart and continues to. I loved how silent she was when everyone was arguing, but then Joyce started in about the hair flip and she was like "BITCH ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!" I just love her. I can't wait until she puts a spell on Kyle's tired ass. This season is EXCELLENT. Just what I needed after that horrible season 3 and the darkness from Russell committing suicide. Beverly Hills is BACK! I feel like they have a good cast and things are developing and setting up nicely. Compare it to New York's reboot and how long it took for them to gel. Hell, this doesn't even feel like a reboot although we do have two new wives, one newbie (Yolanda) and we lost some high profile characters (Faye, Taylor, Adrienne, Camille). Their producers get major props from me.

Now Lisa blogged that she feels like an idiot in regards to the Joyce situation. Joyce was responding to her based on multiple conversations she'd had with Yolanda and Brandi and Lisa said she played it off due to loyalty. Now she wishes she had listened to her and opened her eyes before she was blindsided.

HBO's Looking
The main reason I'm annoyed by the lack of black cast members, is because for black gay people, we really have very little in terms of an on screen image. I would've loved a more diverse cast for something like this. That was the highlight of DTLA for me, the racially diverse cast. Oh well, I guess I will stick to Noah's Arc on Netflix! No interest in a gay version of Girls with the same issues.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That is the way guys text when trying to set something up. Why else would he be texting her? Like she said, I thought Apollo hated her? What happened to all that mess he said on the show? He was horny and wanted some, but unfortunately she wasn't in Atlanta. Not only that, but these texts start at almost 10pm. He is just a mess LOL! Dayum, actually, since she was on California time that means he was texting her at 12:46am!! Again, what does Phaedra's stupid ass husband want at that hour? To talk business? We know he doesn't work so that couldn't be it!

W-O-W, Apollo was clearly trying to smash. I know game and I'm sorry, but it's obvious from these texts that he was thirsty and trying to make something happen with Kenya. She's not even biting in the texts! Wow! Not only did he initiate them, but he made it so obvious! Wow! I wonder how Phaedra REALLY feels. I know she seems pissed on screen, but I imagine off screen she is REALLY pissed. Dynasty Discussion Thread
Years ago on the SoapChat.net forums, somebody posted a scan of a TV Guide interview where Leann Hunley confirmed the "static acting" mandate and said thats why she quit. I think David Paulsen would've done great things with Dana, as we saw in that one or two episodes she appeared in. Such a shame she left just as the show got good.

It's obvious that Carlton just doesn't like Kyle and I don't blame her.

Not at all. David Paulsen came from Dallas and didn't even get to watch all of Dynasty and he created their best season in years. I think he said he watched the first two years plus the most recent season and as he tried to continue he had the same issues many viewers has. The problem with Dynasty is that the people in charge were too ego driven to care. They wrote those first two seasons, which were fabulous, but they were also the only reason the show became so bad. From the stilted acting that caused Leann Hunley (and others I'm sure) to leave, to the focus on glamour and absolutely ZERO focus on storylines.

After my long break, I've resumed my viewing with the middle of season 6. I'm currently in the first part of season 7 and this show is just unwatchable. I find it so hard to get through these episodes. You have a huge cast and NOTHING makes sense. I have no idea how they're getting from point A to point B. The acting sucks, the characterizations make no sense and there are plot holes galore. I know it at least had some fun campy moments and I need that to happen. The Amanda recast is one of the worst in soap history. She looks old and is COMPLETELY different. Not only is she American, but her she comes off very hard and doesn't look believable as a rich heiress. She doesn't wear those clothes like they belong to her, she wears them like an uncomfortable man. Worst of all she cannot act AT ALL. That innocent wistfulness is gone. The only entertaining moment was them recreating the season 6 cliffhanger catfight with Karen Celleni.

Why does Bravo keep segregating these casts? They have a new show that is basically The Real Housewives of New York City: Black Edition. Why not filter one or two of these ladies into that stale New York cast? Here's the supertrailer for Blood Sweat and Heels: http://www.bravotv.com/blood-sweat-and-heels/season-1/videos/new-series-blood-sweat-and-heels The show looks very watchable and it'll be airing after RHOA, so it has every chance to be good. Other than the returns of RHONY and Married to Medicine, I'm most looking forward to Ladies of London, which is basically The Real Housewives of London, but not called that. I can't wait to see what kind of cast they come up with for that.

I actually do believe the Phaedra Apollo drama and I feel more went on between Kenya and Apollo than we're being told. I don't think they kissed or had sex, but I believe they were texting each other and that inappropriate things were said. I absolutely believe that. Kenya doesn't want to be seen as a homewrecker so I don't think she'll reveal it because in order to do that she'd have to show that she was complicit as well.

Kandi and Kenya also confirmed Marlo for this season. Marlo actually has a contract so Bravo won't be paying her for nothing. She's in the promo photos that Bravo released, from a trip the girls took where Lexis will also appear. And of course the big fight with Kenya and Nene later in the season.

I hate that they reminded me of DC with that article. The DC ladies weren't boring or guarded, they just weren't stupid and crazy. Had they taken the 4 sane housewives and added one or two new ones, they could've had a successful series out of the shadow of the White House stuff. The main reason they were so quick to let it go is because they were coming off of Beverly Hills being a breakout series and they probably thought they could continue in that mold. In the long term it was stupid to cancel DC.

I disagree about Beverly Hills and I'm glad they had a pretty good jump in the ratings after the premiere. Obviously, they have a lot to establish with two new wives and such prominent faces gone (Adrienne, Camille, Taylor, Faye). In the long run I think they picked the two right wives, I'm just waiting for relationships to develop. This episode did a lot to introduce us to Carlton, who I continue to love. Joyce took a back seat, but it's only episode two. The only one I'm having a problem with is Kim who has no storyline or anybody to film with. She can't talk to her dog all season..

That Kandi scene is most likely from the big fight involving Kenya's assistant Brandon and Apollo. Report: http://straightfromthea.com/2013/09/09/apollo-nida-brandon-deshazar-massive-fight-season-6-rhoa/

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh I think Miami is done after how Bravo dumped this reunion with no promo and is burning off part two on Thursday. The impression I got from this season is that Joanna probably spends more time in LA. Her house there actually seemed like a home, whereas in MIA, it always looks like she's renting. At the very least I'm sure she could stay in LA long enough to film the season and get dragged by each and every cast member. Looking back, it's obvious Joanna started that fight with Adriana and regardless of how crazy Adriana is, I always found Joanna to be trashy so I'm loving that people are finally turning on her. I wish this Lisa feud had happened early in the season. It could've saved things.

Marlo on Miami would have those bitches wanting to kill her. It was be fabulous! Did anybody else see Brandi drag Joanna on WWHL? Well of course they asked Joanna about Adriana's claims and she confirmed that Yolanda DID tell her that Joanna sleeping with Mohammed was an issue in their marriage. Joanna tweeted that she's not surprised Brandi's husband left her and Brandi said that Mohammed also told both her and Lisa Vanderpump that Joanna had a stank !@#$%^&*]! :D LINK: http://www.bravotv.com/watch-what-happens-live/season-10/videos/after-show-joanna-strikes-back-live?cid=related_sfv_OCT13_A HOPING AND PRAYING TO THE GAWDS THAT JOANNA IS ADDED TO RHOBH NEXT SEASON!!!

The fact that RHOC does as well as it does with little promo would make it more valuable to me, if I were Bravo. I'm pretty sure they probably aren't as high paid or high maintenance as other cites and viewers seem to take to new wives well on that show. It's just a well oiled machine that keeps going.

RHOC has hired ratings (and more consistent) than Beverly Hills. It's good, but it's overhyped in terms of ratings.

New Jersey's problem is that they waited too long to revamp their cast. They should've added one housewife in season 4 and at least one more in season 5. Now they have the disadvantage of having bored viewers they may not be able to get back, plus they're losing 2-3 wives, which is a big move. Now they've put themselves in the position where this reboot MUST work, or they're screwed. It helps that they're bringing Dina back so you have another familiar face with proven relationships. Many think Kathy is done, but I expect Kathy to remain just for numbers.

I hope that Beverly Hills can recover in the ratings because this season looks really good. I thought they did a good job refreshing the cast without it feeling drastic. They've lost a lot of familiar faces with Taylor, Camille, Faye and Adrienne gone, but I didn't feel a huge void with them gone. The show is lucky that Yolanda worked out last season so they have her as carry over. Kim was also a lot more enjoyable than she usually is. The only person I found myself annoyed with was Lisa. She felt a little smug and bitchy (which seems to carry over in previews for next week). I worry that she's bought into her hype and will be the cause of her own downfall this year. We'll see. My biggest takeaway from this episode is that I Love, Love, Love Carlton. I don't know what it is exactly, but she's very appealing and different to me. Does anybody know who she played on Y&R? I wish the show had introduced us to Carlton and Joyce with the typical "Welcome Package" scene. All and all, I won't complain. I have two great housewives shows to watch. ETA: I didn't watch Vanderpump Rules, so did i miss anything? If I need to watch that I will, but I'd really rather not.

Can you imagine? Two black housewives! Considering the ratings ATL gets, it's pretty shocking they don't try to cast more black housewives across the board.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The ironic thing is that the ladies didn't continue to film with her after the white house drama and thats when you got the seasons best drama--the feud between Cat and Erika. They didn't need Michaele's tired ass.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Actually Bravo wanted more of the White House drama. They didn't do season two because the other ladies refused to film with Michaele so Bravo decided not to do it. IMO, focusing so heavily on the White House drama is what killed that show. They should've aired things in order, which would put the White House in the middle of the season, then deal with the fallout and all the Erika/Cat stuff (which actually happened later), then Mary's fashion show could've been the finale. They had to chop so much stuff up just to make that white house story work.
