  1. Rumors have it that Nene threatened to quit if Marlo continues to appear on RHOA. This whole thing sounds crazy to me. Is this what would've happen had Nene gotten famous in the earlier seasons? If she truly feels she is right, then why would it matter if Marlo is fired? Stand firm in your ground and don't engage. Obviously Marlo is getting under her skin for some reason. I personally think it's a combination of her overshadowing Nene on I Dream of Nene, plus the friendship with Kenya which sent her over the edge. Here is the article: http://thejasminebrand.com/2013/10/13/ear-hustlin-marlo-hampton-fired-from-real-housewives-of-atlanta-after-altercation/#.UlxjOVDrw6p
  2. I need to see this before I make a decision. Nene is usually in the wrong with her hating ass. We'll see what happens and what's the truth.
  3. Now I'm in the middle of July 2000, when they;re bizarrely having a prom in the middle of summer on a boat! This storyline is giving me EVERYTHING! The entire cast is involved and mixing, which is fun. I hadn't realized how many characters hadn't met Gwen yet! Also, Rebecca has appeared in the form of Maureen McCormick. She's doing good in the role, but I think her similarity to Kim Johnson Ulrich is probably why she didn't last. Her Rebecca seems more cutthroat than Andrea Evans, but it's possible that Evans was more serious in the beginning, This boat story is perfect. It has a nice blend of comedy and action. As slow as Passions may be, it never feels slow to me, The only story really dragging is this attempt on Sheridan's life. It seems every week the same thing happens and they've played her not believing she's in danger for far too long.Another fun thing was hearing a "dying" Grace tell Sam to tell Noah, Kay and Jessica that she loves them. It was so smart of JER to place those missing children there so you don't have to retcon them in later. It's easy to write them at college or boarding school and prevents you having to bend over backwards to make a new kid story work.
  4. Kim tore Kandi's ass up in court lol. I figured Kim would win and I'm glad that she prevailed in the end. Another reason I wish she were on the show. I'd love to see Phaedra (who represented Kandi) and Kandi called out on this. Kim Zolciak Beats Kandi Burruss' Ass ... In Court Exclusive It's no clothes-tearing cat fight ... but it was still pretty nasty ... and now, former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak has prevailed -- beating the crap out of Kandi Burruss in Kandi's own lawsuit. As we reported, Burruss -- repped by fellow RHOA star Phaedra Parks -- sued Zolciak over their 2009 song "Tardy for the Party," claiming Kim swindled her out of a huge chunk of the song's profits (... though we can't imagine they amounted to much). Zolciak responded with her own legal docs, accusing Kandi of using the lawsuit as a publicity stunt to promote her now-canceled show "The Kandi Factory." (Clearly it worked.) But NOW THE WAR IS OVER ... a judge has officially ruled in Kim's favor (pretty much on a technicality involving federal court jurisdiction and blah blah whatever). But who cares. Because now no one has to hear the phrase "Tardy for the Party" ever again. 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92F-DQZrmFI&feature=youtu.be&a LOLOLOL! Funky Dineva's recap is just fantastic. It is hurting my heart the way Marlo and everybody keeps punking Diana out and I just can't take it. WHY did Diana start this mess and WHY won't she stop? She is sick lol. This woman is getting $28,000 a MONTH from her baby daddy (and courts already proved it's not going to the kids) and is on National TV dressed like she shops at Ross Dress For Less and Citi Trends. Cheap, YOU ARE WRONG for posting that screencap so we can see the difference in Marlo and Diana. She looks like a lost Simone from Passions from 1999! Nene is a damn lie saying that she isn't picking sides. Thus far she has picked Diana's side and attempted to throw both Lexis and Marlo under the bus. Why is she asking them why they're mad at Diana? Lexis simply asked why Marlo and Diana were fighting and based on her interactions with both, gave an observation for why that might be happening. Nene is the one who ran to Diana like a messy bitch. Then with Marlo, Nene was there and saw that Diana started that. She was being one-sided and she wanted Lexis and Marlo to bow down and apologize to Diana. I'm glad they continue to clown her.
  6. Why would Christopher Williams be appearing? I just finished up I Dream of Nene: Episode 4 and I didn't expect to get so emotional. I almost broke out in the ugly cry when I saw Porsha and remember I'm going to have to listen to that annoying voice for 20+ episodes starting next month. And she sounds just as dumb as ever... ....in happier news, I found this a good episode for Marlo and Nene. Marlo is still looking fly and is effortless in her interactions with Diana. Another hat we got to see is Marlo as Creative Director for this wedding. Marlo has mentioned this in interviews so it was nice to clearly see this on screen. Nene even said that the new wedding planner would work with the help of her and Marlo. I like this. Nene better hurry and get over this feud because Marlo and Cynthia are the best things to happen to her on camera.
  7. But Nene's side doesn't add up. If Marlo's goal is to be on the show then she'd do whatever Nene says so she could remain on RHOA and also on I Dream of Nene (season 2 WILL happen). If anything, creating a feud with Kenya would help secure Marlo's spot more than becoming friends with her. I think it's a simple case of Nene getting mad because Marlo is getting too much shine and she's jealous. Nene has shown from day one she is a total hater and VERY jealous. She loves to talk about how people aren't happy for her, but she's never been happy for anyone prior to her finding her own success.
  8. Marlo vs Nene: The Details - http://straightfromthea.com/2013/10/07/nene-leakes-marlo-hampton-rhoa-beef-exclusive/ Basically, I knew it was some stupid mess. Nene is mad that Marlo has become friends with Kenya. Of course the writer spins it like Marlo is only friends with her for screentime. The crazy thing is that it's not unreasonable for Marlo and Kenya to be friends since Nene and Kenya didn't have any issues last year. I could see how someone wouldn't realize that was an issue. I think Kenya and Nene started beefing and THAT is what upset Nene. She probably tried to play the "You're my friend and ONLY my friend" card on Marlo. Definitely have to say that so far I'm still Team Marlo! Nene needs to grow up with this one.
  9. Nene, from day one, has always been a hater. I love Nene and that is a big part of why, but if you look at that feud with Kim it came from her hating over Tardy For the Party. It's also the same reason she didn't like Kandi from the beginning, because Kandi produced Tardy For the Party and is more successful (and not threatened) by Nene. I strongly believe that this is happening because Nene got jealous of all the positive Marlo buzz and allowed these women to get in her head with this "opportunist" nonsense.
  10. Whatever happened JUST happened because even yesterday Marlo was tweeting that Nene was just speaking her mind when Nene said Marlo's attitude is why she wasn't a housewife. I think Nene probably did get jealous of all the buzz Marlo got and that allowed her to entertain the "opportunist" claims. Of course they may have a smoking gun, but I just don't believe it. Marlo is back because Nene knew she'd be good for the ratings and people WANTED Marlo back. Why else would your press release focus on the fact the Marlo was returning? We didn't hear a word about the other ladies, including the popular basketball wives in the cast. Every press release and article mentioned Marlo.
  11. Looks like Nene and Marlo have had a falling out. Weird since they were JUST hanging out Tuesday and Nene was sending out tweets in support of her during Tuesdays show. I think Nene listens too much to things other people tell her and doesn't listen to her judgement. NeNe Leakes ‏@NeNeLeakes1h I Dream Of Nene every Tuesday nite @ 9pm on Bravo @greggleakes @LEXISIS1 @dianagowins @thablondebomb @bricebryant Expand NeNe Leakes ‏@NeNeLeakes1h U are NOT their brand REMEMBER? U will NEVER b a housewife boo boo Expand Entertainment Weekly: Who was the most difficult person to deal with during the wedding? The most difficult people were Marlo Hampton and Diana Gowins. When I say difficult, it was unbelievable that they could not step outside of themselves and say that this is a wedding for NeNe, our friend, and let’s just be here to support her. They argued most of the time, they were never really satisfied. They were very difficult in different ways. After working with Marlo on the show, I could see why she was not a housewife, because she’s super difficult. She’s super extra. I think Nene is wrong and I don't say this just as a Marlo supporter, but Marlo was quiet until other people started with her.
  12. It's crazy! I understand that typically you don't make much from doing a talk show appearance, but you have to offer them SOMETHING. Like Alex said, if you won't even showcase her products and you aren't paying her, what is she doing it for?? With that said, I wish Andy would call Alex up. She would handle herself well on Watch What Happens Live and she was an asset to the show.
  13. Yeah, it definitely seems like she dumped Alex on her way to the top. Alex was the only HW to appear on Bethenny's spin-off as well. I think Bethenny should've invited Alex to talk about her new kitchen products and then used that as an opening to later do a reunion show.
  14. Bethenny tried to do a mini-RHONY reunion on on her new show! Unfortunately Jill and Alex turned down the $400 to appear on her show!! :D Article: http://realitywives.net/blogs/bethenny-frankel-invites-jill-alex-on-her-show-refuse/
  15. Straightfromthea.com posting links for Nene's show.
  16. RHOC doesn't get the credit it deserves in terms of ratings. Until this season, ATL and NJ were in a league of their own. Beverly Hills is nowhere close to being where those two are in the ratings. During the first season of RHOBH, it had lower ratings than DC for some episodes and it's past season had similar ratings to RHOC. Neither are flops, but RHOBH doesn't deserve it's status. With all it's buzz and press their ratings should be the same as ATL. I definitely think Diana, Marlo and the other "bride"maid's are keeping people tuned in. I don't think Marlo has been central enough to say she's the only reason, but she's a part of it. Where Marlo really had an impact was on season 4 of RHOA. She was a major source of tension in those later episodes and during that classic reunion.
  17. Andy's sorry ass waited until August to thank her for her Christmas card as well. I found that tacky. It seems like once he saw the tapes for I Dream of Nene, he knew he couldn't resist her and tried to get back in her good graces.
  18. Marlo WON the costume contest at the party Kenya threw for the season 5 finale. By cutting that, it speaks volumes. SHe was clearly blacklisted and it was stupid. Everything Marlo said in the classic season 4 reunion came true! And she wasn't there to enjoy that! Plus, I feel that she was more relatable to the ladies so the reactions felt real. Her stuff with Kim and Kandi was natural because they were dealing with real issues. Kenya doesn't work for me because we know she's acting and THEY know she's acting so nobody really pays her much mind. How long can we play the "Crazy Kenya" story? And then Porsha is just too out of her element to make an impact.
  19. I still think season 4 of NYC was good and it did have good ratings. They should've taken the complaints and done a slight revamp, but not make the show seem like such a failure. Look how dark and crazy NJ has gotten and they refuse to make changes. They ruined a good thing with NYC.
  20. New Jersey needed a reboot two seasons ago and they knew it. I don't understand why they went into the current season wi thout any changes. You can't center a season around a rumor of something that may or may not have happened years ago with all of this happening off screen. It was different with Cop with a Badge because it was a book and we know there was truth to it. I felt the same way about NJ last season. WHO CAREs if Melissa was a stripper? This stuff should be summed up in an reunion question like when Nene was revealed as a stripper. Beyond that, you had the EXACT same stories in circles and it was unwatchable. I can't believe they survived last season.
  21. The timeslot change is what did that to Miami.
  22. The fact that they filmed this gold before RHOA and STILL didn't have the good sense to make Marlo a HW shows they are nuts. It's their loss. I'd take Marlo over Kenya and Porsha anyday.
  23. From Twitter it sounds like I Dream of Nene was classic tonight!! I need a torrent to hurry and be uploaded so I can enjoy this madness!
  24. I'm glad Dr. Jackie is back, I worried she would pass on a second season. Her and Simone make this show for me. I must say, I'm a little disappointed Kari won't be continuing. I wouldn't have minded if they shifted her to RHOA.
  25. New Marlo interview with some effortless shade: http://cocoafab.com/exclusive-marlo-hampton-dishes-on-nenes-wedding-crazy-bridesmaids-style-secrets/ There are so many reasons to watch I Dream of Nene: The Wedding and one of the biggest reasons is the return of Marlo Hampton to the small screen. It has been a while since we watched her on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and now she’s back to help her friend get down that aisle…again. In an exclusive interview with CocoaFab, Marlo dishes details on the lavish wedding, crazy bridesmaids and secrets to her sexy style. “My style comes from my mother. She couldn’t afford expensive things when I was little but we would go to the Goodwill to get our outfits and she would come home and clean them and press them really good,” she says. “When I tell you we were the best dressed kids, it was crazy because we had things from the Goodwill. One of the key things is accessories. It’s all about accessories like bracelets or scarves or hats or earrings and I just go with it.” According to Marlo, she’s not as high-maintenance as she seems. “I just go with what feels good. Me and my stylist get into it sometimes because I believe it doesn’t have to match it just has to look good,” she says. “I wasn’t always able to afford labels. I do like them, but I don’t have to have them all the time. A piece I buy at TJ Maxx will get mixed with Chanel.” The starlet is serious about her passion for fashion. “I love all designers. I love anything that blings. I love pearls, I love patterns, I love it all.” Marlo met Nene long before she shot to superstardom and even had a hand in her style transformation. “I owned a boutique and I styled Nene for her first episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” she reveals. “She looks beautiful. I know Nene admires a lot of my style and fashion sense and that’s where a lot of it came from but I love it. I think these are some of the best years of her life as in appearance and fashion.” Her expert opinion came in handy since Nene’s girls were asked to design their own dresses for her big day. Marlo’s style savvy scored her a gig as the wedding’s Creative Director. “I got to help her pick out linens and pick out the design for the wedding and flowers and crystals and all of that,” she says. “That’s what a lot of the girls don’t realize is that I was a bridesmaid and the creative director of this wedding.” The other girls didn’t always appreciate Marlo’s efforts and last week was just the beginning of the battle between the bridesmaids. We expected some drama to unfold with the all-star line up of bridesmaids in the mix, but no one could have predicted the shade we saw on last week’s episode. Diana Gowins didn’t mince words with the fashionista and a few other friends she doesn’t approve of for Nene. You know I was really shocked. She caught me by surprise. I’m like, ‘are you serious?’ I was just really appalled,” she said of Diana’s catty comments. ”Diana has a single black female thing going on. I have never in my life seen a woman be that protective of and that crazy over another woman having friends.” Diana didn’t understand why Nene would ask certain women to join her wedding party and called Marlo an “opportunist” to her face in the shady showdown. “I think Diana is just really cuckoo and needs to get a mental evaluation. It’s just really bogus and the girl is just crazy,” she says. “I had met Dianna before because my friend has kids and Diana has two by a married man so I met her before at the baseball field. I thought we were cool,” she said. “If Diana had any sense, she would be trying to be my friend so I could help her out with her fashion. We may have trouble trying to style a linebacker though, she’s a little too wide.” Marlo admits she was caught off guard, but he should be used to her haters by now. “For her to try to act like she’s living in this glass house and she’s not living in one and you just wanna sit and put accusations on me and what I’m doing and how i afford my lifestyle–i just think it’s so hilarious. I’m like, ‘don’t you have children by a married man? Are you serious right now?’ I mean that’s awful.” While she says the ladies were watching her every move, some should be more worried about their own behavior. “No matter what you can say you’re never gonna hear about Marlo dating a married man. Thats a no no. Not at all.” Marlo’s days on RHOA didn’t prepare her for this much drama. “You never know what the hell to expect because you never know whats gonna come out of someone’s mouth. When I was with Diana that day for brunch I was seriously shocked,” she admits. “Like, day one? For real? You’re gonna go here seriously? Can’t you just get to know me?” We’ll get to watch the rest of the drama unfold on this week’s episode of I Dream of Nene: The Wedding, and according to Marlo, it’s gonna be a doozey. - See more at: http://cocoafab.com/exclusive-marlo-hampton-dishes-on-nenes-wedding-crazy-bridesmaids-style-secrets/#sthash.0j8bcmcV.dpuf
