ARTICLE: ‘The Bold And the Beautiful’ Displays Week-To-Week & Year-Over-Year Growth Among Key Demos – RATINGS
There was no preemption, just a 7-minute interruption, and it was a VERY good day for the show ratings-wise. That's why I'm so confused. Forgot to add. Initially, ratings are based on the time slot before they are later corrected and factor in the show that aired in said time slot, hence the 7-minute interruption for GH on Monday, April 21, with the show airing just 53 minutes of content. So, based on Nielsen's interpretation, the numbers are exclusive to people tuning into GH and seeing GH on their screens.

The dailies are just BAD. Series low BAD. The weekly average was piss poor, but was lifted up by Monday, April 21 and Monday alone, despite airing just 53 minutes of content (apparently there was a 7 minute interruption). I should note that Tuesday, April 22 was within the show's usual range, albeit on the lower side, but the rest of the week? OMG! Even worse than The Talk BAD! I'm not joking here. Someone, anyone, has to be FIRED for the Wednesday through Friday episodes. NO excuse!

There is no evidence of this. Frank Valentini is an executive producer and officially does not receive writing credit; therefore does not have input on the viability of current characters.

There is no evidence for any of this. No one here is privy to the individual contracts of executives, producers, directors, actors or the writers of daytime soap operas. You are spouting unverified information, which you have repeatedly been told not to do.

The episode, which saw the exit of series regular Peter Krause after eight seasons as Bobby Nash and the 118 confronting a biohazard catastrophe, marked a week-to-week increase among Total Viewers (+0.2%; vs. 8.43 million) and was up double digits among Adults 18-49 (+11%; vs. 1.57 rating), scoring the show’s highest rating in the key demo in five months – since November 7, 2024. On linear only, “9-1-1” averaged 5.64 million Total Viewers and a 0.56 rating among Adults 18-49, growing by double digits over the show’s initial Live+Same Day audience in both Total Viewers (+48%; vs. 3.81 million) and Adults 18-49 (+56%; vs. 0.36 rating). BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
The problem with this information is that it doesn't indicate a timeline for the average, nor whether it is based on Live+7 or multiplatform viewing. Otherwise, 2.1 million viewers on the surface sounds great, and is an improvement over The Talk, as that show never did well in delayed viewing, but is 2.1 million viewers good for CBS when B&B/Y&R are doing in excess of three million among multiplatform viewing? My understanding is that Deadline's story is in response to my article about several shows hitting series lows, including Beyond the Gates, in Live+Same Day.

LATEST RATINGS: April 14-18, 2025
Whatever happened on Wednesday, April 16, General Hospital needs more of that because it started the week on a very Talk-like level, at 0.17s in Women 18-49. Had it not been for those, it would have beaten Beyond the Gates in that demo. However, I don't understand its performance among Women 25-54. Why is BTG topping the show in this particular demo with ease? Why is GH so far behind the pack in this demo? Day W18-49 Rating W25-54 Rating Duration (In Minutes) Wednesday 0.25 0.34 60

ARTICLE: Several Daytime Broadcast Shows Hit New Series Lows Among Households & Total Viewers – RATINGS
For the second week in a row, several daytime broadcast shows hit new season or series lows, particularly among Total Viewers and Households, during the week of April 14-18, 2025. “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.179 million), the ABC News broadcast marketed as the third hour of “Good Morning America” (2.665 million), was down week-to-week among Total Viewers and hit a 0.7 rating among Households, marking series lows for the program in both categories. Among the key sales demographics that help set ad rates for daytime television, “GMA3” was up in Women 18-49 both week-to-week (0.15 rating vs. 0.13 rating) and compared to the same week last year (0.15 rating vs. 0.14 rating). That said, the show saw an uptick among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. For the week, the ABC soap averaged a 0.20 rating among Women 18-49, up +0.01 week-to-week and year-over-year. After eight weeks on the air, “Beyond the Gates” (1.544 million) hit a new low among Total Viewers and Households (1.0 rating). However, demographically, the show continues to perform well. The soap opera was on par with its week ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.21 rating) and was up +0.02 compared to the year ago performance for former time slot holder “The Talk” (0.21 rating vs. 0.19 rating). ARTICLE: ‘Beyond The Gates’ To Be Fully Preempted Due To CBS Coverage Of UEFA Champions League Soccer Games
For the fourth year in a row, CBS will preempt the bulk of its daytime lineup all or in part on Tuesday, April 29; Wednesday, April 30; Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7 with the network once again set to broadcast UEFA Champions League Soccer games, which will also be carried live on Paramount+. The only show on the network that will air without interruption coast to coast will be “The Price is Right,” which airs at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT. Meanwhile, soap operas “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” will air uninterrupted on the East Coast but will be preempted on the West Coast (Mountain and Pacific Time Zones). Like “The Talk” before it, “Beyond the Gates” is the only CBS show that will be fully preempted on all four days. In its place, the network will air “UEFA Champions League Today,” a pre-game show providing news and highlights about the UEFA Champions League. “Beyond the Gates” will air original episodes on Monday, April 28; Thursday, May 1; Friday, May 2; Monday, May 5; Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9. As a result of the preemptions, “Beyond the Gates” will air just six episodes between Monday, April 28 and Friday, May 9, bringing the show’s total episode count by that point to 49. Except in markets where “Let’s Make a Deal” airs after “Beyond the Gates,” the game show will air without interruption in markets where it airs preceding “The Price is Right,” although select CBS stations can opt to air the program in a later time slot, including overnight or on sister stations. The same option is available for both “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” UEFA Champions League Soccer UEFA Champions League An annual competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations, UEFA Champions League Soccer sees the top 16 clubs in the European tournament vying for the Coupe des Clubs Champions Européens (aka European Cup) trophy. BTG, Y&R, B&B: April-May 2025 soccer disrupting CBS soap broadcasts
Just a point of reference since it doesn't seem to be cleared up in the thread, but Beyond the Gates will only air three episodes next week as it will be preempted for UEFA coverage on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, exactly the same way the network preempted The Talk in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Therefore, no episodes will be aired in any time zone or any country on those days, including Canada. What CHCH will program in the slot on those two days is not yet clear.

Edit Post Time Limit Removed
Nope. Not unless people are willing to pay a monthly subscription fee to sustain the site. Advertisers don't like curse words, and they pay the bills. Looking forward to seeing your updates. When we implemented the time limit, I didn't realize at the time how it would impact people like you and what you do for the love of soaps. I'm sorry it took so long to resolve this problem, and I'm glad to hear you are still so passionate about continuing to update the treasure trove of information that makes the SON Community so unique.

Edit Post Time Limit Removed
Dear Members: After implementing a 60-minute edit post time limit several months ago, the administrators have agreed to remove the setting due to newly available internal metrics that will allow us to better manage records for those who've abused the edit ability, which was the cause of the time limit being implemented in the first place. As such, effective Thursday, April 24 at 8:45 p.m. ET/5:45 p.m. PT, the edit time limit has been removed for all registered members, allowing posters, if necessary, to once again edit their posts without worry about a time limit. Note: As has been the case since the beginning of the SON Community, an exception to this change is archived forums, threads, topics, posts, polls, etc. Edits are not possible once a post or similar is classified as archived. This includes requests to delete posts or threads made in the past, regardless of when it was first published.
