  1. You know what? After all the men she's been with dying, it's only appropriate that she try her hand with women. Only then will she discover how much of a curse she is when it comes to relationships. Of course, I don't think the show would go there, but if they do, I wonder how Carly would react to her daughter being with Robin's.
  2. Announcing a one-year extension of the National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting Agreement (better known as the Network Television Code) last year, SAG-AFTRA and the four major television broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX), along with other producers, committed to begin negotiations on a full three-year successor agreement no later than Monday, June 2, 2025. We’re now less than 30 days away from those talks commencing. The extension, which went into effect on July 1, 2024 and runs through June 30, 2025, built on the original 2021-2024 agreement that was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2024. The following additions were made as part of the extension: All minimum rates shall be increased by 7% (including program fees, Extra rehearsal rates, excess work day rates and overtime rates) for all classifications other than background actors and stand-ins. Minimum rates for background actors and stand-ins shall be increased by 11% (including program fees, extra rehearsal rates, excess work day rates and overtime rates). The contribution rate for the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan is increased by 0.5% effective Jan. 1, 2025. Substantial protections in artificial intelligence, similar to what was achieved in TV/Theatrical and Television Animation negotiations. The union’s negotiating committee consists of principal performers, background actors, stand-ins, promo announcers, singers and dancers. Generating more than $200 million annually in covered member earnings, the Network Television Code encompasses programming in nearly all television dayparts as well as programming produced for streaming. Current programs covered by the agreement include dramas in first-run syndication, morning news shows, talk shows, serials (soap operas), variety, reality, contests, sports and promotional announcements. Shows specifically covered include the likes of “Good Morning America,” “The Young and the Restless,” “General Hospital,” “Saturday Night Live,” “The Masked Singer,” “The Voice,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” the Oscars and even the Super Bowl, among countless other program options. 3. In a follow-up to our previous report on CBS being set for a record-breaking 17th consecutive broadcast season win, Nielsen recently released its first full season report highlighting the 35-day multiplatform viewing performance among television shows across broadcast and streaming for 2024-2025. Ranking as the most-watched broadcast network season-to-date for 2024-2025, CBS is averaging 9.1 million viewers, followed by NBC with 7.2 million and ABC in third with 6.9 million. FOX placed fourth with 4.3 million. Factoring in episode averages after 35 days of multiplatform viewing among the broadcast shows, “Tracker” continues to rank as the most-watched broadcast series with 17.5 million viewers, followed by “Matlock” in second (tie with “High Potential”) with 16.1 million viewers. Closing out the top five were comedies “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” and “Ghosts,” each with 12.1 million viewers. At ABC, “High Potential” ranked second (tie with “Matlock”) with 16.1 million viewers, followed by “Will Trent” in sixth with 11.6 million viewers and “9-1-1” topping out in ninth place with 11.2 million. Freshman comedy “Shifting Gears” averaged 11.1 million viewers to place tenth. NBC was led by its recently renewed #OneChicago lineup (“Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”), each averaging more than nine million viewers. Overall, CBS placed four of the top five shows, six of the top 10 and 11 of the top 20. ABC had four shows in the top ten and six shows among the top 20. NBC had just three shows in the top 20. FOX had no shows in the top 20. 4. The Wednesday, May 21 episode of “The Young and the Restless” will feel a lot like a Valentine’s Day celebration when the daytime drama series devotes an hour to love, centered on three of the show’s most prevailing couples. According to Swooon, a sister publication of TV Insider (TV Guide Magazine), the episode will focus on the pairings of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Michael Baldwin (Christian J. LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Susan Walters, Eric Braeden Monty Brinton/CBS A description of the episode sees Victor and Nikki noting their historic love story as they provide input to their family on how to make their love lives as successful and long-lasting. Meanwhile, Michael makes it clear that their relationship is the most important thing in their lives, and Jack presents Diane with a special gift to thank her for her recent renovation work on the Abbott mansion. Note: An earlier version of this article indicated the airdate as Thursday, May 21. The correct date is Wednesday, May 21. 6. CBS Sports coverage of the UEFA Champions League Soccer games during the week of April 28-May 2, 2025 took a toll on the bulk of the network’s daytime lineup, Nielsen Live+Same Day ratings data shows. After CBS’ parent company, Paramount Global, renewed its UEFA rights deal in 2022, the network is scheduled to air UEFA Champions League Soccer games through at least 2030, with the package valued at $1.5 billion over the life of the six-year contract, more than two and a half times that of the prior 2020-2024 deal. Starting in February 2022, the network’s broadcast of the games has interrupted its daytime lineup, resulting in full network or market-by-market preemptions. “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.397 million) and the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” (3.347 million) saw the largest week-to-week drops across daytime broadcast among Total Viewers, down -250,000 and -242,000, respectively. The second half-hour of “The Price is Right” (3.817 million) also saw a significant drop among Total Viewers, down -215,000 week-to-week and down -342,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. Demographically, “The Young and the Restless” (2.844 million) and “The Bold and the Beautiful” performed within range of their season-to-date averages. The two soaps were preempted in the Mountain and Pacific time zones on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30 due to CBS’ UEFA Champions League Soccer coverage. “Beyond the Gates” (1.488 million), which was preempted on both days and aired only three episodes as a result, marked a new low among Total Viewers, Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.30 rating). The show was up year-over-year compared to the performance of former time slot holder “The Talk” in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.16 rating), Women 25-54 (0.30 rating vs. 0.26 rating), Households (1.0 rating vs. 0.8 rating) and Total Viewers (1.488 million vs. 1.242 million). That said, CBS aired UEFA Champions League Soccer on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and Wednesday, May 1, 2024, which resulted in the network’s daytime lineup being either preempted, amended, or broken out. As a result, year-over-year comparisons are based on UEFA coverage in 2025 vs. 2024. “General Hospital” (1.770 million), “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.261 million) and “NBC News Daily” (1.127 million) were the only daytime broadcast shows to see week-to-week gains among Women 18-49, with “General Hospital” and “NBC News Daily” also seeing week-to-week gains among Women 25-54. Compared to the same week last year, “The View” (2.329 million) and “GMA3” saw gains among Women 18-49, while the daytime talk show and “NBC News Daily” saw year-over-year growth among Women 25-54. “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” NBC News “TODAY 3rd Hour” (1.633 million) and “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” (1.139 million) both hit new series lows among Total Viewers and Households. Both shows performed within range of their season-to-date averages demographically, with “TODAY 3rd Hour” ranking among the top five in the key sales demographics used to sell ads for daytime television. Wrap-Up What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of April 28-May 2, 2025 among Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including a week-to-week and year-over-year performance comparison. Note*: The year ago performance for “Beyond the Gates” is compared to “The Talk.” Ditto for “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” which is compared with “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” Week of April 28-May 2, 2025 Rankers Women 18-49 Rating Rank / Show / NetworkThis WeekLast Week20241. 7. This. That. Love the phrasing. That said, IMO, Jagger ain't dead. Much respect to the actor portraying him, but blonde John was not Jagger. I don't know who that impostor was.
  8. You are not a service provider.
  9. Correction. The PM is still there, although you "left the conversation" after being called out by me.
  10. Further: This is a post you made, and quickly deleted, that referenced the alleged (by you) death of an actress on General Hospital. Again, you are trying to break news, whether it's true or not. That is nothing but immoral, disgusting and outrageous.
  11. This is an email I received from the PM you sent to Toups and me, just two days before Drake died. That's not something one says when they didn't know his medical condition wasn't already public. You may have quickly deleted the PM after I called you out on having the audacity to think it was appropriate to share at all, but an email lives on. You clearly intended to break the news because you have no clue about what is appropriate and what is not. If you want to become a gossip columnist, as I've told you before, create your own site. I'm sick of the drama you manifest here.
  12. Because it wasn't posted here is the ONLY reason you can still post here. Numerous other examples were posted here, including, but not limited to, your insinuation of a romantic relationship between two actors on General Hospital, the medical condition of another actress from the same show, and the death of an actor from the same show (which you quickly deleted as it clearly wasn't verified, and still hasn't been), just to same a few. You are the reason I implemented the edit button time limit in the first place as you've repeatedly posted something inappropriate (as noted in my previous post and above), got called out on it by other members, and quickly deleted or removed the offending post before @Toups or I even got a chance to see it. As for Drake, I don't care who the hell told you about his medical condition. It wasn't YOUR right to say anything about it. In fact, your post on X/Twitter at the time wasn't worded in the manner in which you were responding to the news being publicly shared. You posted it to break the news. You even PM'd me and Toups, virtually threatening us with an alert that you planned to post it on the Community itself! The [!@#$%^&*]?!?!?! Stop playing innocent or victim. You are neither. Either post as you've been repeatedly asked to, or find some place else. I don't care.
  13. It's like all the K-Dramas or C-Dramas where the mother-in-law hates the daughter-in-law who's supposedly from a poor or less than privileged background, only to find out she's the long-lost chaebol daughter from an even richer family. Maybe someone in the writer's room watches them like I do (mostly the recaps on YouTube) and decided to do that with a male slant? All kidding aside, this is par for the course in soaps where someone you think you hate turns out to be the family you never knew you had. Haha.
  14. The failure in communication is one-sided, and not mine. Despite being told repeatedly by me and others that what you may have read on other message boards, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and/or any other social media site, including those you apparently run, does not make the information true, nor should it be posted here on the SON Community whatsoever. If there's something you've seen/read elsewhere that is newsworthy and from a valid source, there's nothing wrong with sharing/linking to that source. This includes linking to articles from other websites like Deadline, Us Weekly, Soap Opera Digest, EW, PEOPLE, etc. For instance, if any of the aforementioned websites reported that Tabyana Ali renewed her contract, link to that site reporting the news and/or an interview discussing it. Ditto, if Tabyana Ali said something about her contract on social media. Just saying "apparently," while providing no source other than your statement, does not make it so. This includes if you read it by someone on any social media site other than an official outlet's post, the actress in question, or the show that employs her. Related, your use of the word "apparently" isn't the key issue here. It's the continued posting of misinformation and the nonchalant sharing of personal information, specifically medically, about real-life people. You KNOW what I'm talking about!
  15. On Monday, Paramount+ unveiled the first full-length trailer for “NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” the “NCIS” spinoff series starring original cast members Michael Weatherly (“Loving”) and Cote de Pablo reprising their iconic roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, respectively. The series picks up after Ziva’s supposed death when Tony left the NCIS team to go raise their daughter, Tali. Years later, Ziva was discovered alive, leading her to complete one final mission with NCIS before she was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris. Since then, Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, living a relatively quiet life until Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing them to go on the run across Europe, while trying to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other once more so they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after. Premiering this fall on Paramount+ with a 10-episode order, the trailer’s release comes as “NCIS” concludes its 22nd season on CBS. “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” is the newest installment of the global franchise that also now includes “NCIS: Sydney” and “NCIS: Origins.” “We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” said Weatherly and de Pablo in a joint statement last year, announcing the new show. “The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘TIVA’ movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!” Produced by CBS Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, the show’s cast also includes Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, Nassima Benchicou, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Terence Maynard and James D’Arcy. John McNamara serves as showrunner and executive producer with de Pablo, Weatherly, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals and Mairzee Almas also named executive producers. “I’m incredibly excited to step into the NCIS universe with Cote and Michael and thrilled to explore it from a few new angles,” said McNamara before production began last year. “Given that the franchise is such a global sensation, I think it’s phenomenal that CBS Studios and Paramount+ have given us the greenlight to shoot in Europe.” Watch the full-length trailer below. 16. As the network prepares to unveil its 2025-2026 primetime schedule to advertisers next week, NBC announced on Monday that it has renewed its popular #OneChicago franchise, comprised of “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” Ranking as the most-watched drama franchise on broadcast television, collectively the shows have amassed nearly 46 million total viewers season-to-date across NBC and streaming service Peacock, with the broadcast network dominating Wednesday nights as a result. Executive produced by Dick Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein and Peter Jankowski, “Chicago Med” is heading into Season 11, while “Chicago Fire,” executive produced by Wolf, Andrea Newman, Reza Tabrizi, Matt Whitney and Jankowski, is set to enter its 14th season on the network. Meanwhile, “Chicago P.D.,” executive produced by Wolf, Gwen Sigan, Chad Saxton, Gavin Harris, Jason Beghe and Jankowski, will head into the fall for Season 13. According to a report by Deadline, the cost-saving measure put in place ahead of the 2022-2023 season, wherein the “minimum guarantees” for much of the show’s cast, including the “Law & Order” franchise cast, will remain in place. This means that series regulars will not appear in every episode produced. It’s said the range going into next season will see the episode count reduced by at least two to four episodes. Additionally, it’s being reported that cast members are being asked to take up residence in Illinois. Those who choose not to do so can expect to see a further reduction. Separately, some cast members will not receive their annual 5% raises. In terms of episode orders, while an official number has not yet been set, it’s understood that each series will also see an overall reduction in how many episodes will be produced as part of an industry-wide cost-cutting measure. While the shows themselves have been renewed for next season, some veteran cast contracts are up for renewal this season, including “Chicago Fire” star Taylor Kinney (Lieutenant Kelly Severide). Negotiations are currently underway on new deals. “Chicago Med” airs Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by “Chicago Fire” at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and “Chicago P.D.” at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. All three series are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment. 17. Your use of the word "apparently" would need to include a source. Just your use of the word doesn't make it true or valid. Where would you get the idea that something has happened if you hadn't already received an indication from somewhere else, specifically a valid source (including Tabyana herself)? By using the word "apparently," you are implying this was mentioned somewhere, either in a publication or similar.
  18. Billy Bush will conclude his five-season run as host of the entertainment news show “Extra,” he announced in the latest episode of his “Hot Mics with Billy Bush” podcast. “After an amazing 5 years hosting ‘Extra,’ I’m moving on to continue building out my ‘Hot Mics’ digital platform,” said Bush. “We have experienced unprecedented growth in a short period of time here on this show and I find myself hungrier and more stimulated than at any point in my professional career.” “‘Extra’ is culturally iconic. If I had a dollar for every time someone hollered ‘Extra, Extra’ to me in the airport or something, I’d buy Warner Bros.,” he also noted. “It’s been a tremendous honor and privilege to front this show. We were there for each other at this pivotal time in 2019, I’m proud of it. It’s now time to build something of my own,” Bush continued. “I’m forever grateful to the amazing staff at ‘Extra’ and the executives at Warner Bros. for this awesome chapter of my life. I mean every word of that. I have had a tremendous run.” Renewed for a 32nd season in March, Bush will remain host of the program through the end of the 31st season while a search for a new host begins. “We are so grateful to Billy for five standout seasons with ‘Extra.’ His dedication, experience and sharp reporting are just a few of the meaningful contributions he made on the show and with audiences alike,” said Lauren Blincoe, SVP Current Programming of Telepictures in a statement released to Deadline. “We thank him for the role he has played in shaping this chapter of ‘Extra’ and we wish him continued success in what’s ahead.” Produced by Telepictures Productions in association with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, “Extra” is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Theresa Coffino and Jeremy Spiegel are executive producers. “Billy is the consummate broadcaster, a brilliant interviewer and a force of nature,” said Coffino. “We are grateful for his contributions to ‘Extra,’ we will miss him and we look forward to seeing his next chapter.” Before joining “Extra” in 2019, Bush previously served as host of “Access Hollywood” and its sister show “Access Daily.” Ironically, Mario Lopez, who hosted “Extra” before Bush, replaced Bush as host of “Access Hollywood” and “Access Daily” in 2019.
