  8. Soaps do not traditionally comment on actor contracts, comings & goings, etc unless it's something they themselves want to promote. This is why when a publication cites "exclusive" it's because they were granted the information first without the show outright being forced to confirm anything with another publication. Additionally, the vaccination status of an actor cannot be revealed by a private employer. We only know the status of celebrities, including their getting COVID, because they open their own mouths and say so. Just because Deadline, Variety, etc are covering this story in their publications doesn't mean they'll get anything out of the soaps beyond what the soap outlets that are covering the story are able to get unless you count something like what happened with Ingo Rademacher following the transphobic comments. Right now the exit of a major character is the cover story of SOD which for some reason people still buy. To sell the show and the magazine, viewers have to be led to believe that the characters are going to either find Jason or that Jason will be back down the road. For him to be gone because the actor allegedly didn't get vaccinated won't work for the type of fans that watch soaps, regardless of political leanings. The soaps have an older, more traditional audience more so than any other genre. They aren't as adapt to change like many younger soap viewers would like them to be which is why the transition to the web or streaming is partially due to this demographic. We can hate the game all we want, but that's how it's played. You either sit it out like some outlets have or you dribble as much as you can until you can get a score. In this instance, the score is hard to come by.
  9. For all intents and purposes, that's still what is considered a sex tape. Several real-life people have been filmed having consensual sex with someone without their knowledge of being filmed. That's still a sex tape.
  10. Greg Vaughan is set to reprise his role as Eric Brady on "Days of our Lives" beginning next month. Find out what brings the character back to Salem. Note: The post Greg Vaughan Back to ‘Days of our Lives’ as Father Eric Brady appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website. Read More
  11. The viewing numbers, IMO, don't really bode well for awareness. I've seen YouTube live streams with 50,000+ simultaneous viewers but we're currently at just under 1,900. Maybe it'll pick up in viewers throughout the week.

  13. So the NBC Facebook page is not showing anything about this and the website is linking to the YouTube feed. Only just over 1,600 people are watching it right now.
  14. Yes. That happened on Friday, November 19.
  15. Unless otherwise shown, Steve Burton's last air date would have been Friday, November 19 since he wasn't shown a single time in today's episode.
  16. Per the schedule, there were audience tickets available for The Talk through the 18th. Typically, The Talk tapes special episodes in advance and re-uses audience members for those purposes. Also soap stars especially are adapt to releasing social media content when they are told they can, so timing is harder to pinpoint. Was the SoapHub Awards episode live or taped in advance? We'll find out either way soon.

  19. The movie was filmed earlier this month - the week of November 1.

  21. No one appears on any talk show without their publicity team booking it first, regardless of whether the actor is currently employed by a show or not. This goes for films and other forms of entertainment as well. As long as it involves the show directly, which the SoapHub awards would require, the publicity team for the actor's respective series was involved in their appearing on said talk show. Remember, not everyone who won went. Case in point even when an actor is nominated for an Emmy award, their appearance at the awards show is handled by the publicity team for the show they are nominated for. As in when they are on the red carpet they are "handled" by someone from the show. They don't just show up of their own accord just because they are nominated. The same holds true for actors who are no longer on their respective show in which they are nominated for. They are still "handled" by said show's publicity team even if they've been off the show for months such as actors who are no longer on DAYS.
  22. DAYS is not produced at Sony's lot. It is produced on the former NBC Burbank Studios lot which now goes by Burbank Studios.
