ARTICLE: Emma Samms First Air Date Back On ‘General Hospital’ Revealed
I think it was a mistake. Based on wording it sounds like they meant to say “Very glad she’s back on the canvas…” but it seems like they did the @ symbol and typed the letter V. When you do that your name appears as the first V option.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES Moves to Peacock From NBC on September 12
Thanks for the heads up. Proves one thing, Peacock is still desperate for subscribers and that the deal worked somehwat in getting people to subscribe to the service. But can it survive off of additional paying subscribers who paid reduced a price? For instance, instead of say two million subscribers paying $4.99 a month ($9.980 million), you’re only getting two million subscribers paying $1.99 ($3.980 million). That’s a six million dollar PER MONTH loss they’ll have to make up from somewhere. They were created exclusively for Peacock, so no. I believe the Peacock only (produced after move to Peacock) episodes of Days of our Lives will also be expiring, unless there is an adjustment to the current contract that allows episodes produced post-Peacock move to stay on the service longer. Should Peacock renew the show for an additional season, or longer, that contract should provide longer streaming rights.

Happy Birthday SON!!🎈🎈🎈🎈🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈
LOL. I have a long memory since I got here early enough. I forget what that other message board was called that preceded SON, but there was another spinoff board from it that was run by rivals of @Toups and Alyssa (lol) that didn’t survive, obviously. It was yet another soap opera spoiler heavy site (message board) — but those don’t last, btw. Once sources dry up, what else do you got? That’s why SON has lasted as long as it has because we’re more than spoilers as you noted above. Because of the kinds of discussions happening on the SON Community, I feel comfortable delving into some outside of the box stories for the site because I know y’all will actually read them or find them of interest. Other soap opera sites I find are boxed in because they don’t have that audience. Every single contributor to the SON Community discussion forums I value because collectively we’re all made smarter by the knowledge brought to a conversation that would otherwise be an A or B conversation. We drag it from A-Z, leaving no crumbs on the floor. We have our fun. We have our disagreements. We have our griveances and we have our bickering. But as long as @Toups and I are around, we’ll still have @Soap Opera Network. Thanks! I’ve definitely mellowed out from my early 20s. I thought that to be taken seriously you had to be commanding. You had to be a virtual dictator. Anyone who is still around and worked with me, @Toups especially, knows how I used to be. I now know I stressed myself out for no reason as I didn’t need to be any of that while still being able to get things done. Sadly, some people have come and gone knowing me that way and we no longer talk but that’s okay. You learn to grow and you meet new people as you do. Ultimately, had I stayed that way I doubt SON would have outlived the lifespans of some long gone soaps (outlived Santa Barbara, Loving, The City, Generations, Ryan’s Hope, Port Charles, Passions, Sunset Beach, etc). We’re actually a long running soap in our own right, if you think about it. Hahaha.

ARTICLE: A Conversation with Gregory Zarian: Netflix’s ‘That’s Amor’ and More
This summer, Netflix released a romantic comedy about a young woman who loses her job the same day she catches her boyfriend cheating on her. Hoping to start things over, Sofia (Riley Dandy) meets a dashing Spanish chef who might be the missing ingredient to her beating heart. The movie is called “That’s Amor” and features soapers Gregory Zarian (“Venice: The Series”) and Bryan Craig (“General Hospital”). While Craig plays the cheating boyfriend, Zarian’s David and his partner Todd (Paul Witten) help guide audiences into a world of Spanish dishes that establish the scene for romance between Sofia and Matias (Isaac Gonzalez Rossi). In an interview with Soap Opera Network, Zarian talks about what it was like working on the movie, whether we might see more of our cooking characters, and reveals that “Venice: The Series” is coming back for a seventh season, albeit the latter portion was discussed off-camera, post-interview (sorry) In its first two weeks of release, the film debuted in ninth place among Netflix’s Global Top 10 list, ranking in 36 countries, with 10.470 million hours viewed. In week two, the movie shot to fourth place in the Global Top 10 list, ranking in 70 countries, with 17.420 million hours viewed. Since then, the film has been a consistent daily pick for Netflix users. The movie cast includes Daniel Edward More, Arlene Tur, Kimberly Drummond, Christina Moore, Rose Portillo, Suleka Mathew, John Ducey and Nancy Lenehan. Shaun Paul Piccinino directed the film from a script by John Ducey. Watch our conversation with Zarian below. Note: Apologies for my audio. I’m generally a fast talker and my audio couldn’t even keep up at times. Also, the darkness (besides skin tone) is due to poor lighting on the day of filming. One of the lights wasn’t working as it should. All bugs have since been fixed going forward. Preemptions due to hearings
Yes, they will. They were supposed to be preempted on September 28 (B&B/GH) but then it got canceled so they aired as expected. This means Emma Samms won't air until Thursday, October 20 now. TV listing sites need more advance notice to update their schedules. They'll probably have the updated hearing scheduled by maybe Monday or Tuesday in their systems.

Happy Birthday SON!!🎈🎈🎈🎈🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈
The only other female I can thin of is Venus (aka: @Queen_Nubia). We weren’t really strong on female representation, oddly, considering soaps is a female driven business. I avoid the archives to the point I forget they exist. Too much evidence of what an asshole I used to be. If anyone still thinks I am one, okay…but I used to be far worse, lol. We can change. Hahaha. In my world, sex, fine…18. Everything else? 21 If you can die for your country you should be able to drink and do stupid stuff while going out with a literal bang. That is a tramatizing gif. The liquid inside does look quite chill though.

She and I had a disagreement about something inappropriate she did. She decided to leave shortly after. There were some great mods in the past. Not sure who you’re referring to though. The most recent mods were @Scotty and @Angela Oddly it’s been able to have sex and go to war for three years now, yet only now it can drink and gamble too. Stupid American laws. Lol.

Happy Birthday SON!!🎈🎈🎈🎈🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈
Long story. The current iteration of the message boards was launched on September 11, 2005 (unfortunate date). The original birthday of the SON Community was October 8, 2001, as launched by @Toups and Alyssa via ezBoard. The community became its own .com in November 2002. We’ve honored the original launch date as SON’s birthday. Fun fact: While at least two websites were created by some of SON’s original users (won’t name them) after internal matters resulted in an unofficial split, SON itself was created from another message board with its own dramatic history (prior to my tenure and @Toups wasn’t part of the drama, to be clear). Ultimately, SON remains the largest and most active community following that situation. I joined the original SON (ezBoard) in April 2002. Became a moderator in August 2002 and admin in October 2002. I, along with Toups have run the community together since early 2003 (around March or so) following Alyssa’s departure. Never met her to be clear.

ARTICLE: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to Showcase First-Ever ‘Disney+ Night’
It’s Disney night, but retitled. Essentially, it’s the same theme but the distinction is they are performing to songs from movies/TV shows that can be watched on Disney+, which is the same platform “Dancing with the Stars” is now on. It’s cross promotion to get people to watch other things on the platform, particularly those who might have signed up just to watch DWTS.

ARTICLE: Henry Joseph Samiri Back to ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
After taking time off for outside projects, actor Henry Joseph Samiri is back on “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Douglas Forrester, which means Django Ferri‘s time in the role has ended. Samiri returns beginning Monday, October 10, reports Soap Opera Digest in its latest issue, on newsstands now. Joining the cast of “B&B” as Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) only child in 2019, nine-year-old Samiri is quickly making a name for himself in Hollywood. In 2021, he had roles in such shows as “9-1-1: Lone Star” and “American Horror Story,” and in 2022, he appeared in the HBO Max series “Hacks.” Samiri next appears as a series regular in the Freeform original “The Watchful Eye,” a new drama series that follows a group of wealthy Manhattanites who harbor a closetful of secrets. He’ll be playing the role of Jasper Ward in the suspense thriller that ABC Signature and Ryan Seacrest Productions are producing. Amy Acker (“Person of Interest”) and Warren Christie (“October Road”) are among the lead cast. ARTICLE: ‘One Life to Live’ Alum Replaces Ben Lawson in ‘A Waltons Thanksgiving’
When “The Waltons’ Homecoming” premiered last fall, not only was it The CW’s first ever made-for-TV movie, but it also marked the network’s most watched night since April 14, 2021 with 969,000 viewers and a 0.12 rating in Adults 18-49, reported ShowBuzzDaily at the time. Nearly a year later, the follow-up movie, “A Waltons Thanksgiving,” will premiere but will have a significant change to its cast. Teddy Sears (“One Life to Live”) is replacing actor Ben Lawson (“Firefly Lane”) in the role of John Walton Sr., the father of John Boy, played by Logan Shroyer. No official reason for the actor switch was given, but we suspect it was due to Lawson’s commitment to the Netflix series “Firefly Lane,” which was picked up for a second season by the streamer three months after season one concluded in 2021. In an April post on his Instagram page, Lawson shared a quick video of his time in hair and makeup as he prepared for his role as Johnny Ryan in the Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke friendship series. Season two is expected to premiere in two parts for a total of 16 episodes, beginning Friday, December 2 with the release of the first nine episodes. The final seven episodes will drop on the streamer in 2023. There will not be a third season for the series. The Family (“A Waltons’ Homecoming”) Photo by Tom Griscom/The CW The Family (“A Waltons Thanksgiving”) Photo by Tom Griscom/The CW During his “One Life to Live” run, Sears portrayed Chad Bennett, a bartender who had a love affair with Emily MacIver (Amber Ryan). Following his exit from the series in 2002, Sears would later have significant roles in such shows as “Raising the Bar,” “The Defenders,” “Torchwood,” “American Horror Story,” “Masters of Sex,” “The Flash,” and more recently, “Chicago Fire.” “A Waltons Thanksgiving” reunites the Walton family as they prepare for Thanksgiving in 1934. The Depression has affected everyone, but John Walton (Sears) has found a way to provide for his family through the farm and by picking up odd jobs from the eccentric Baldwin Sisters. It’s also the time of year for the Annual Harvest Festival Fair, where carnival rides, talent shows and pie contests become the center of attention for the Waltons. As the story unfolds, John Boy (Shroyer) learns the true meaning of taking responsibility, Mary Ellen (Marcelle LeBlanc) comes to understand patience and collaboration, Grandma (Rebecca Koon) finds that winning can be complicated, and Olivia (Bellamy Young) shares her healing heart with every other Walton family member — at a time when each of them needs it most. And when a young boy enters the Waltons’ world, everyone’s life is changed in ways they could never have imagined — transformed forever through love, faith and kindness! The movie also stars Christian Finlayson as Jason, Tatum Matthews as Erin, Samuel Goergen as Jim Bob, Callaway Corrick as Elizabeth and Alpha Trivette as Grandpa Walton. Notable guest stars include Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. Meanwhile, Richard Thomas, who originally starred as an adult version of John Boy Walton in the beloved television series “The Waltons,” continues as the movie’s narrator. ARTICLE: Fran Drescher in Talks with Sony for ‘The Nanny’ Continuation Movie
It’s been 23 years since “The Nanny” went off the air after spending six seasons on CBS, and in the time since, the show has become a cult classic, with fans all around the world reciting lines from their favorite episodes and emulating the many fashions of Ms. Fran Fine, played by the legendary Fran Drescher. In early 2021, HBO Max acquired streaming rights to all 146 episodes and had given a new generation of fans a chance to laugh, live and love alongside the Fines and the Sheffields, but in a world filled with reboot after reboot, one has to wonder when we’ll ever get to find out what the clan has been up to since we last saw them head off to Los Angeles to support Max Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy; Victor Cassadine, “General Hospital”) as one of his Broadway shows was being developed into a TV show by Hollywood producers. Now comes word that Drescher has been talking with the show’s production studio, Sony, about continuing the story as a movie. In a recent “Entertainment Tonight” interview at Variety’s Power of Women event, Drescher told Deidre Behar, “There’s some talk about maybe a movie … we’re in the talking stage now with our parent company, Sony.” She noted, “It won’t be a musical,” referencing previous discussions about a Broadway iteration of the show being in development. “The musical is going to be set in the ’90s as was the series. The movie will probably be more in the present and incorporate new characters.” While she expects characters from the original show to be featured, Drescher explains, “[the movie would] dovetail into a whole other character story.” Should it feature the beloved characters and their familiar portrayers in some capacity, it’s understood that we’ll finally get to meet the adult versions of Fran and Maxwell’s twins, Jonah Samuel and Eve Catherine Sheffield. Charles Shaughnessy, Fran Drescher (“The Nanny”) Courtesy of CBS Drescher hopes that whatever happens with a musical, continuation movie, or even a reboot TV series, fans receive the same message they had during the show’s original run, which is as follows: “This is as current and present as it’s ever been. So, it’s extremely important that the audience feels like they’re really seeing the proper representation of all the characters and the relationships and they understand how noble in many ways the character of Ms. Fine was.” She adds, “And [understand] the global message of that show was that it doesn’t matter what you look like or what you sound like, it’s what in your heart that counts and that was what she proved week in and week out.” In describing her iconic character, Drescher told “E.T.,” “Besides being an amazing dresser and a sweet, loving, warmhearted, authentic human being, [Fran Fine was] unabashedly, unapologetic about who she was and it’s a great example for us all.” In addition to being an actor, Fran Drescher is the current president of SAG-AFTRA, the union for actors. DAYS OF OUR LIVES Moves to Peacock From NBC on September 12
No worries. I can’t write it down as a policy nor can I tell every new member about an unwritten rule individually. It’s one of those things we all just have to end up learning through word of mouth. The actual reasons I’ll never iterate. It’s something you just had to be there to see/read in real time to just know, you know?

Wilder was porn Jack (shower scene) while Valley was daddy Jack. Ashford is ultimate Jack. But back to the show. Mike was here too short and his scenes with Nancy were initially good, then became too cutesy. They deserved more dialogue, IMO, before he forgave her based on their history. hopefully Roark comes back soon.

ARTICLE: Stars from ‘The Young and the Restless’ Give Advice to ‘The Real Love Boat’ Cast
Inspired by the classic hit series “The Love Boat,” CBS has created a reality-infused iteration entitled “The Real Love Boat,” which premieres Wednesday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The show follows a group of singles as they cruise the Mediterranean in luxury courtesy of Princess Cruises. Like the original series, there’s the crew, including the “captain” (Paolo Arrigo) and a “cruise director” (Matt Mitcham) who will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation process as contestants sail in the waters ahead. The series is hosted by real-life married couple Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell. Ahead of the show’s launch, stars from “The Young and the Restless” sat down to share dating advice. Here’s what some of them had to say. Conner Floyd (Chance Chancellor): “Just be a gentleman. Everyone loves a gentleman. Be nice. Do the right thing.” Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland): “Don’t ignore red flags. Be on the lookout for those guys; they’re everywhere. Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson): “Be content with yourself. Be content with being alone so that anyone that you add to your life is a supplement and adds value but does not make your life.” Micheal Mealor (Kyle Abbott): “You need a good pickup line. You need a good sense of humor, and you need to put down the phone.” Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter): “Just be around someone you really enjoy. That’s the most important part about being in a relationship, is being with someone that you have fun with.” Christian Le Blanc (Michael Baldwin): “Don’t say a word ’cause you can tank it. Just stand there and look mysterious … in your speedo. Kind of with a lot of lotion.” Allison Lanier (Summer Newman): “The first thing that came to mind was be yourself [laughs], but really, just be yourself [laughs again]. Rory Gibson (Noah Newman): “Be mysterious. Kind of… not reserved, but quiet. Keep some mystery alive. It keeps the attention flowing, and listen.” Kelsey Wang (Allie Nguyen): “Be able to communicate with each other and be really direct if you guys have a conflict, being able to talk it out and also having faith in your partner.” Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings): “Be wary of anyone who is trying too hard [eye curls].” Tracey Bergman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin): “Don’t do anything I’ve done. That’s the best advice I could give you.” “The Young and the Restless” airs Weekdays on CBS, Anytime on Paramount+.
