During the week of June 29 – July 3, 2026, several shows saw some of their largest audiences of the season, and marked multi-year highs, particularly “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “NBC News Daily.”
The Bold and the Beautiful Ratings
Despite week-to-week drops in the key demos, for the fifth time in 11 weeks (including ties), “The Bold and the Beautiful” again ranked No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49 (0.22 rating), topping perennial leader “The Young and the Restless” (0.22 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and, compared to the same week last year, the half-hour soap was up +0.02 among Women 18-49 (0.22 rating vs. 0.20 rating). NBC News Daily Ratings
Though returning within range of its regular Women 18-49 (0.16 rating) performance, “NBC News Daily” continues to be a force among Women 25-54 (0.25 rating), even with its week-ago performance and up +0.05 year-over-year (0.25 rating vs. 0.20 rating). Among Total Viewers, the news program marked a new season high with 1.634 million viewers tuning in, up +42,000 week-to-week (1.634 million vs. 1.592 million) and up a massive +516,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (1.634 million vs. 1.118 million).
NBC News recently touted that the program attracted its largest audience ever for a second quarter and marked its sixth consecutive quarter in which it topped its “GMA3” competition across the board among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-49, the key sales demographics used to sell ads for news.
The Young and the Restless Ratings
“The Young and the Restless” attracted its largest audience in 15 weeks (since the week of March 16-20, 2026), with 3.217 million viewers tuning in to the happenings in Genoa City, marking the show’s 23rd consecutive week above the three-million-viewer mark, a streak that began during the week of January 26-30, 2026.
The long-running soap opera was up +32,000 viewers week-to-week (3.217 million vs. 3.185 million) and up +300,000 compared to the same week last year (3.217 million vs. 2.917 million). Meanwhile, compared to the same week in 2024, “The Young and the Restless” was up +200,000 viewers (3.217 million vs. 3.017 million).
General Hospital Ratings
Although the show saw week-to-week declines among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.22 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.23 rating vs. 0.28 rating), “General Hospital” gained viewers, up +27,000 week-to-week (1.980 million vs. 1.953 million) and up +140,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (1.980 million vs. 1.840 million). The drama was up +79,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2024 (1.980 million vs. 1.901 million).
On Hulu, “General Hospital” continues to perform well on the streaming service’s Top 15 Today TV chart for the week of June 28 – July 4, 2026, according to The TV Ratings Guide. The drama ranked No. 1 on Thursday, July 2; Friday, July 3; and Saturday, July 4, with episodes that dropped on the service after airing on ABC, ahead of the fifth and final season of “The Bear,” which topped the chart on the four previous days during the covered week, with “General Hospital” ranking second on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1. As was the case the previous week, the long-running soap opera ranked fifth with episodes from the prior week on Sunday, June 28 and Monday, June 29.
Beyond the Gates Ratings
While ratings data for “Beyond the Gates,” which was retitled “Beyond-Gates,” as it aired reruns this week and during the same week last year, do not factor into the show’s official weekly or season averages, it appears that the show continues to gain a new audience as it was up +282,000 viewers this year vs. last year’s comparable week of repeats broadcasts (1.354 million vs. 1.072 million). The 1.354 million viewers who watched repeats of the soap opera were down 45,000 from the 1.399 million who tuned into original episodes of the former time slot occupant “The Talk” during the same week in 2022, but up +36,000 over the talk show’s original broadcasts during the same week in 2021 (1.354 million vs. 1.318 million).
Note: “The Talk” aired repeats during the comparable week in 2023 due to the ongoing writers’ strike, and in 2024 had already concluded Season 14, airing repeats until it kicked off its 15th and final season in the fall of that year.
