I was amused CLB won because the show is so clearly trying to phase him out. And then he's the only person from the show to win. He wasn't the most deserving, but I'm happy for him.

I didn't like Braeden's work last year, I didn't buy his grief over Sabrina. I do think Bergman should have gotten something, if Peter Reckell couldn't win.
I think this was just about Emmy bait. I didn't think that episode was great but perhaps on its own voters were impressed.

No they're not. They wouldn't have dedicated an entire episode to him last year if they were.

I don't mind CLB winning. I was praying for not seeing Thorsten Kaye or Anthony Geary with the emmy. Reckell is not that good and I don't think Cosgrove is really a lead so good for CLB. I hope MAB will realize Michael Baldwin is a viable character now.

Her performances as Marge were certainly better than her performances as Kay in recent years, but IMO, they still weren't Emmy worthy.
Susan Flannery was the one who was robbed.

Haskell is a perfect fine actress and if the Emmy were for a Perfectly Fine Lead Actress, I'd have no problem with it but it's for Outstanding Lead Actress. Morgan, Flannery and Cooper fit that description, SH, IMO, does not.
So yes, add me to the Debbi was robbed crowd.

This is going to be a challenge for most AMC actors as long as Pratt is writing because he likes episodes that are quickly paced. Vincent Irizarry lucked out though because his scenes were a bit longer. Plus Vincent didn't really have to share those scenes with anyone whereas Debbi and Darnell are sharing the spotlight in her reel.

Well what's done is done. I was hoping she would win...for so many reasons. Mainly because it would be a fitting way for her to leave AMC since I don't think she's going to stay with the show when it moves. But Haskell is the perfect choice given the current state of soaps.

Davidson & Chapman were the best thing about it.
I thought Tracey Bregman was also great as bitchy Lauren. I enjoyed the episode, but it was interesting that although he was in every scene he was reacting through most of the episode until the end. I think he was helped by the good acting by the supporting players in the episode also.
If anything I hope it will encourage MAB to write for him and stop using him as a rarely seen glorified dayplayer. Whether people think he deserves the emmy or not, he is too talented to be wasted as he has been during MAB's tenure.
