I love all the girl teams...they are just fun and flighty.

I really can't stand it when people with disabilities commit to working so hard to overcome their disability with this 'I can take on the world' attitude - and then USE their disability as a crutch to get them ahead. It's contradictory and hypocritical. I do give her props for getting up that wall though...

One of my early fav's just got eliminated. :(

I wish it was the gay team [sorry forget there names] instead, they're annoying.

I know it's not intended to be funny but the horse running away with the girl

I'm FURIOUS that we don't have an old couple!!!!!!

:angry::angry::angry:

That being said, I'm rooting for the single moms, Dad/LesbianDaughter, Kentucky.

Not liking Sara/Peter and the Asian guys.

Jury's still out on the rest...

I am sad to see the Indian team go - I was liking them.

Wow, I didn't even realize there wasn't an older team....oh well.

I'm not really digging the Asian brothers, the gay team (annoying, and embarrasing), and the stereotypical fight-all-the-time couple.

Each time I watch the Amazing Race I am reminded what makes it my favorite reality show --- each team holds their own fate pretty much in their own hands. How far they progress pretty much depends on themselves. This is one of the only reality shows that politicing, alliances and things that like that don't matter. You can sit back and enjoy watching the teams go through the challenges.

And I love the years where we have the unknowns the best. And they are all usually pretty good - even the ones who are annoying do pretty well at the challenges. I hated the year that Rob and Amber were on because they had a big advantage over so many of the other contestants because people recognized them and helped them. I know some are campaigning to get Janelle on The Amazing Race. The only way I hope that happens is if they do an edition of it with other "celebrity" or "reality" show former contestants. I never want to watch another season like the one we had with Rob and Amber.

I like when the teams all start out on the same status, and we get to know them all at the same time.

I too hate that two of the teams got out early. But as I said each team on here holds the outcome in their hands. I was really wanting the "redneck" team to go, or the coal miner husband and his wife or the gay couple. They are the 2 teams that I just don't like at all. But on TAR it all depends on how they run the race.

BY FAR the worst season of TAR was the Family Edition...I completely did not watch that season of Amazing Race BECAUSE of the whole "family" thing. I thought it absolutely did not work and there was just WAY to many people and the kids were annoying and it just didn't work for.

I hated the family edition too. It just didn't have the punch other seasons did. I still rank the Rob/Amber season with it. The only thing that saved the Rob/Amber season was the finale and seeing them get beat.

I think the first season was one of my favorites. And then I enjoyed the season with Reichen and Chip on it. I don't remember the year or number on that one.

I liked the season too where one of the other contestants kept giving the other teams nicknames. I remember he called one of them Itchy and Scratchy. That was so funny.

My favorite all time team was Meredith and Gretchen. I just loved those too, and would have loved to see them win. Gretchen was such a trouper.

Loved that season too. Loved Colin & Christie but hated Charla & Mirna but the rivalry between the 2 teams was great.

My most hated team ever though was Team Guido. I hated those 2.

I'm glad there are no old couples. They are cute, BUT 9 times out of 10, they are a shoo-in for elimination. It's like a given they won't win. HAving all younger teams ups the ante.

First of all, I will be the first to defend TAR8... I think this interview with Phil sums it up great:

I thought TAR8 was just as exciting as the any other season, the only thing missing was the international travel. But the North American destinations were still beautiful and interesting. I would easily take TAR8 over TAR7 anyday.

And now on to tonight's premiere. I am kinda sad I was spoiled just a couple hours earlier about the double elimination :( So I was dreading the Forbidden Gate becuase the Muslims, the Indians, and the Asians were all last! <_< And then of course Vipul and Arti eliminated at the Pit Stop. I was definitely rooting for both teams. Very sad they're out already.

I'm not sure who the "pain in the ass" team is this year as Phil's said in interviews. My guess is Rob & Kimberly... or wait, I think its probably Guido-lite, Tom & Terry.

The other teams were okay. Pretty good mix of people.

China was great. I loved how Gasworks Park in Seattle and the Great Wall both refer to past seasons (TAR3 and TAR1, respectively).

Next week's ep looks drama-filled. FOUR TIME EMMY WINNER THE AMAZING RACE IS BACK!! :D

    • Listen, I am all for Laura Wright wearing silly wigs and glasses if there was a point.  So far she's just been nice to Brennan and made out with him.  How evil lol!!  Even though I have been told Brennan loves her the writing was never there.  It's so low stakes.  Carly should maybe talk to her daughter and have an adult conversation instead. Laura and Anna look foolish.  I really don't have an issue with either being friendly or at least having some affection for Sonny.  I don't get both of them wanting to have a parade to announce how much they love him and how valuable the friendship is.  C'mon, Laura basically tolerated Sonny because of Luke until Lulu/Dante got together.  Anna likes Sonny because Robin did?  There really isn't much more of a reason for Anna to give him the time of day besides that.  They aren't lifelong buddies.
    • It is so dumb and is dragging on already after a couple weeks. By the time Carly wraps this up Joss will be running the local branch office. And yes, Laura deserves better. It's like they tripled down on this Sonny apologia stuff with her and Anna after the Mulcahey saga.
    • A white twunk with no purpose?? On Days of our Lives??!!
    • It feels like the show hired Hank Northrop first and are still deciding what to do with him lol. I don't have a judgement on the character yet, but this non-story (so far) has been happening for at least a month and he's only made 2 appearances lol. Also, this may be a stupid question, but is Chad's name really Chadwick?  I can't find any evidence of that in a quick google search, so I assume it's just a silly nickname Leo calls him?  I feel like I've heard other characters (EJ?) call him that though too.
    • I know Anita mentioned that she no longer was investing in the trust, while Leslie had stated that the interest was multiplying at a decent rate... but I do have a feeling she'll wipe through the trust in a short amount of time with the amount of spending she's doing. The show always throws in tiny nuggets of foreshadowing and having Anita's remark and Eva warning her mother not to overdo the spending tells me that Leslie will be blowing through that money eventually.
    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
