I figured since our posts were deleted by that silly assclown who had nothing better to do, I figured, why not create a thread where we can discuss our hopes, expectations and everything else about the changes at DAYS and whether they will be for the better or good.

Hell, scratch that, LET'S CONTINUE THE DISCUSSION FROM THE PREVIOUS THREADS!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMFAO... I'd get to 75 pages all on my own. ;) I want that woman gone so bad that I can taste it.

Congrats to all the DOOL fans. I hope that Hoagie and [!@#$%^&*] can tun it around. :) Sounds like they may already be off to a great start.

Fingers crossed that AMC and MMT are next to part ways. :D

Sheffer took ATWT all the way to #3 for months and if I'm not mistaken #2 the week of the Oakdale Serial Killer reveal. That was the week B&B hit's it's all time low of 2.8 He knows what to do to get the ratings up.

NEW YORK (Variety) --- Shocker plotline for NBC's "Days of Our Lives" generated a ratings surge in recent days as viewers learned that the serial killer stalking the fictitious town of Salem is actually the sudser's most prominent character, Dr. Marlena Evans.

Revelation came during the Wednesday telecast, which generated the show's highest overnight ratings since December 2000, according to Nielsen Media Research fast nationals, The telecast drew a 4.1 rating/11 share.

For the week

1. Y&R 4.9/16

2. DAYS 3.9/12

3. B&B 3.8/12

4. GH 3.4/10

5. AMC 3.2/10

5. ATWT 3.2/10

5. OLTL 3.2/10

8. GL 2.6/8

9. PSNS 2.3/7

DAYS has a huge fanbase, and the audience is still there (they just need wooed back) I think He could potentially get DAYS back up to #2 consistantly.

Agreed. I mentioned something to my sister about Patch and Kayla coming back and that certainly piqued her interest. She also told me she watched a few of the Sunday Night SOAPnet airings.

The audience(I hope) is still there. They just need to be wooed back to the show.

I hope NBC isn't too mad at [s.W.S.N.B.N.]. She is exactly someone daytime TV needs right now, and NOT because of her (forced) past ties with an infamous person. We need her because she WATCHED daytime for years. She's an outsider, but she has been trained in programs with both ABC and Bell. She is the new life daytime 100%elly needs right now.

And WHERE is EricaKane4Life? His posts are the [!@#$%^&*]. :) AND GladGirl too!?

    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.
    • RIP Wayne Lewis.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
