How many major stories does the show even have?

I don't think it would be hard to do a fast pivot. Matt Clark and Patty could both be written out in less than a week with him moving away and her going to jail. The only tricky thing is Billy/Sally since she's pregnant. The business stories could conceivably stay and simply be told in a more interesting way.

A big benefit to them is that the majority of the characters are just swanning about doing nothing.

I don't want to see CH wailing through another death scene. Just have them leave town, and then recast Billy and SORAS the kid after a couple of years.

I love Courtney Hope in the Control video games but I am mortified any time I catch a glimpse of her on the show these days. I agree she should move on. I'd welcome her on GH tbh. It would also keep Chad Duell gone!
