I had no errors for several days.

But today the same 'max_user_connections' errors when I came online at 3.57am PDT today June 12.
(Windows PC desktop, chrome browser latest version149.0.7827.115 (Official Build) (64-bit).
It happened at least 10 times within the next hour.

One time when I clicked "try again" I got the screen with ginormous icons and this error message at the bottom:
"Sorry, there is a problem
Something went wrong. Please try again.
Error code: EX1203".

I gave up and walked away from the computer. I later deleted all my cookies and history, and relogged into SON at 8am PDT and got multiple 'max_user_connections' errors again.

  • I was hesitant about keeping the confused icon, but I'll leave it for now since it's a neutral one, and there are cases where it might be necessary. Otherwise, happy people are responding well to thes

  • I actually like the monthly threads to keep up with the daily happenings of the show, so I’m hoping posters will still create them.

  • I'm not leaving because of all the changes, because I really enjoy this board. However, I have to add that I'm concerned about the number of changes. Whether it's true or not, everything looks like it

I've been getting stuck on that error as well and I see the site in a damaged oversized way as well. I'm lucky I'm not in a glitch right now.

Yep it's constant, literally every time I click on something on the board

I received the same message a few seconds ago.

I thought Errol had killed that error, and seemed to have succeeded, but in true soap fashion it seems that error has come back from the dead.

yes that's the one with the ginormous icons. I think that's the "unread" icon at the top of the page, appearing 1000 times too large, and then when scrolling down, under it are ginormous social media icons for SON. When I see that, if I take the time to scroll down forever and ever and ever on that giant icon page, I see this at the bottom: "Error code: EX1203".

@Errol The error is coming and going every other click on the site right now for me. Both on phone and on laptop.

@Errol Errors galore this morning, from the usual error messages to server connection errors in loading.

I rebooted the server. So far, it seems to have killed a process that was consuming a chunk of memory, which caused the error this morning. Everything else appeared fine and was working.

The site is unusable on any browser/phone with this constant error 500 non stop for the past 2 days.

I'm sorry, aside from the notices I received in the last hour or so, I'm not aware of any issues over the past two days. Other than this morning's problem, what have you been experiencing? I see no logs of this.

I've been getting the 500 error... and one more error that completely blocked the mobile browser from working for an entire day yesterday - it said something about a server request gone wrong, but I didn't take a screenshot - I didn't want to annoy you with constant posts about something not working... and I just prayed it will go away, but it didn't. Today it has been non-stop the 500 error, but this time - it stays for longer periods and when I refresh... I get a damaged, oversized version of the site and when I refresh again - the 500 error repeats. It used to go away very fast in the past and I would only get it 1 or 2 times a day at max. I wasn't going to say anything before I saw people here talking about it, because I thought you may be working on something with the site and that's something temporary that happens while the work is being done.

Yes; after a failed connection was made around the top of the hour (which is when I assume you were rebooting the server), it has been fine.

Yeah that's the oversized "x" (twitter) icon

I was just coming on here to say the same thing - got the 500 error many times this morning. I'll let you know if I get it again now that you've rebooted server.

Thanks!
