The one realistic thing about Kristina's life is she is in fact a total flake. She always has been. Sonny has subsidized all of her pointless fly by night ventures, from reality show to doing nothing at Yale to the bar to the stupid LGBT center I knew we would never, ever see onscreen and I am openly laughing now at the people who told me we would lol.

Once they reached adulthood I was hoping the natural issues between the sisters would lead to conflict and story opportunities because of this.

Molly was studious and worked to get where she is with her law degree and job that should put her at odds with Sonny/Jason. Kristina has flitted between multiple paths in her life and has a problem with honesty when it comes to responsibility. Lying about Ethan as a teen, the reality show, the cult, the surrogacy, the bar, the center. There is fertile ground here for storytelling, and instead they just kind of use it as an excuse but don’t fully explore it. As others have said, Alexis thinking about having her committed was a solid direction they just wouldn’t follow through with.

I actually think Kristina has a lot of story potential, even with Mansi’s cold and strident version. But it’s as an antagonist and her own worst enemy.

Embryo theft or not, Britt still gave birth to him. I get not rewarding her for crime, but Rocco is naturally going to feel more of a bond with Britt. Lulu didn't give birth to Rocco so the bond is not going to be as strong.

This is a vile take on the story. I don’t care how much someone likes Britt. It’s not about that. Lulu raised him for most of his life (SORAS retcons included). If you wanted to argue that Britt feels that pull towards him because of her actions, that I can see. Even though the show didn’t use that until her return. But I don’t believe he would feel this way towards her, and the thought process is pretty gross all around when it comes to surrogacy.

The show could have Lulu struggling with telling him how much of a violation this was because she doesn’t want him to feel even more unwanted than he did when he first learned what happened. Instead Lulu just wrings her hands. But the propping of Britt by repeatedly trying to connect them is just tacky. If anything, he should be angry with her, and sad around Lulu.

Let’s remember while they are trying to make Britt this maternal figure she stole that embryo to trap a man. Not because she desperately wanted a baby, and has been pining for “Ben” this whole time.

I honestly hate this story and think it’s so gross. Guza/JFP were openly misogynistic as creatives on GH, but even they wouldn’t have had both of Lulu’s children be from bodily violations as a science fiction plot (Charlotte), and Britt stealing her embryo. And I have made my feelings on Guza/JFP as a team painfully clear on this board, yet I would credit them with better taste than this.

They should’ve just had Kristina go off to Burning Man and never come back.

Well I kept wishing that the hospital show would focus more on the hospital and that it needs to focus more on doctors and nurses.
(sigh) Be careful what I wish for.

I know this bitca Britch did not! Lulu was within her rights to slap her into next week.

I admit...finding seeing Drew move a little bit has brought back my excitement for the show.

And Dante has been on fire.

Lastly...I LOVE that Molly and Jordan sat and talked about TJ. FINALLY.

Very. Remember the discussion about if Sonny would have ever stepped down and run off with Brenda which of his kids seem perfect to run the mob if the mob HAD to continue? There was a time that answer would have been Kristina. But given how her writing has warped in the last decade as well as Michael ascendency by Rory's acting...well...

Dante's mourned her for an insane period of time for a soap

Well, I mean it wouldn't be so bad if they were exploring his grief. I respect that it is kinda old school in that back in the day...when a popular character lost a love, they had proper time to mourn. The problem is...they didn't mourn off-screen and it didn't feel like an afterthought. And was usually six months to a year. Dante just feels like an afterthought.

I just watched the scenes of him vs Lulu. And I can't help, but want to see them together. The chemistry IS there. No reason they shouldn't be together vs all this Fathan mess.

Lulu should have slapped the hell out of Obrecht today - wow (which btw, why do we call her by her last name? it feels icky).

Lulu would’ve been justified in knocking her out. Frank needs to get over his Britt propping—it just makes me loathe her more.

So, Kristina is going to be a doctor, huh? GH could’ve tried.

Her character was originally called "Obrecht" by other characters. I still can't get used to calling her Leisl.

I guess it's like Sidwell. I don't think of him as "Jenz".

Meh? It's just Sam though. Her relationship with Dante was pretty C story. He's mourned her way longer than I did. Just kidding! I had a party when she died.

Lulu/Dante is still where it's at.

To this day it would be easy enough to introduce a secret male twin for Sam. Someone who comes to town with a vengeful agenda, like many Cassadines. Or kids of their own.

But I still believe Stavros is Sam's father, so what do I know.

I'd honestly be fine if they retconned the whole Sam is Alexis/Julian's kid thing. I guess someone needs to watch Danny while Steve Burton's on breaks though. Alexis being Sam's mom never bothered me although I don't think it added much to either character's story. Say it was a mistake, move on, and have Alexis search for her real (male) child.

NOW you're speaking my language, lol!!

Kristina suddenly going off to med school is up there with Stu's wife leaving with the cook or whoever on Search for Tomorrow.

It was the cook. And the fact that they're pulling med school out of their asses kind of proves my point about Kristina. This show has never known who she is or what she wants.

Surrogacy storylines are very tricky ones to tell, especially on soaps. Potentially, a storyline like that can go only two ways: either the surrogate hands the child over to the (biological) parents after the birth, which is not exactly compelling; or, the surrogate becomes so attached to the child that she attempts to keep the child, either through the courts or through good old-fashioned kidnapping, which paints a negative picture of the entire process. (FALCON CREST went one better, having the surrogate (Robin) use the unborn baby to hook the daddy (Cole) and make the mother (Melissa), who was right about her all along, look like a total lunatic. THAT story was offensive to the point of being negligible). In the end, I just feel like surrogacy is something that probably doesn't belong on soaps.
