I don't mind Joey because as I've always said I think he and Vanessa are among the few fully fleshed-out characters (likely thanks to Guza) and his use largely works. I also think he inevitably has an expiration date given everything he's done. But I do think it's time to start hinting at Dante Green more, who is doubtlessly waiting in the wings. Or other villains beyond just Joey and Leslie. Elon and Malone just hanging around being corrupt is getting old.

And they need to start launching all new romances that have both heat and conflict people can care about. Eva and Izaiah are hot people who have no huge sexual tension or conflict and are already just together. Donnell is not yet fully in the mix. Kat and Tomas are unbearable and she deserves better. Chelsea and Madison are nice lesbians whose conflict keeps getting pushed down the road, though I keep thinking they're set to implode over one thing or another. Same with Naomi and Jacob. But it has yet to happen. Is Izaiah not going to model, or are we coming back to that and adding potential drama?

Ted and Shanice are the most fun new couple on the show for me, and Nicole and Kial have great potential but their handling of Nicole is all over the place depending on the day. They want to make sure we all know she is now a swinging sexual being again and not so buttoned up, but the whole 'Nikki' thing is tedious and is very show don't tell.

But seriously, the post you quoted from me answered the question and gave them the brief discussion of it. I assumed that since I have not been tagged over this busy week that they did go back and read. I would say go back and do the same since we all did discuss it briefly here. And I do make mentions. And I would also point to either the spoiler thread...unless you don't like to be toooo spoiled or perhaps the history thread in case the article I mentioned and you quoted my mention is very much there. With few exceptions...and because it took me forever to learn how to use spoiler tags here, I do keep it vague intentionally...but don't mind pointing where to look if it is available.

As for my multi-quotes, all I can say is a Shrugs Like I said...I do have busy weeks and when I eventually come in here, I do multi-quotes...apparently different than you. It happens. I see something I like, I do reply. I also discuss. Sometimes that does go across pages (starting from the last time I was on) and I'm not about to have a tab for each page I miss to keep texts together cuz that would be an even longer post that would be confusing I am sure. Sometimes I have posted my thoughts first before I go back and read...something I know we all do from time to time. My apologies for the offense.

Speaking of the small note...yeah my posts have the double space. Through several of the updates here, I went from finding it jarring to liking the formatting. It does help collect my thoughts...which well...are my thoughts. And given I have done it in most other places in my life to no problems, I am sure you can understand that I will continue to do so. But thank you for your thoughts.

Yeah, I am feeling the same as well. If there had been no renewal, I do feel What Happened to Laura would have finally come out. And still can. Since we know Joey has blackmail dirt on SilkPress. Heck, I'm doing some light catch-up at the moment so I see Kat moved in with Anita and Vernon. And we know Leslie have that house next door. Given Kat just went off on her and Eva again, I wouldn't put it pass her to go over there and try to continue to get justice for Laura somehow. Or perhaps they play the story thread of Kat going to Joey during Chelesa's kidnapping.

Kat going after SilkPress definitely needs that mansion set.

I’m sorry, but a new random set won’t fix this show’s problems. We already saw that with the addition of the ugly Caffeine Fix set. People were complaining they were tired of seeing Orphey Gene’s, the Country Club, and Uptown. So the solution was to add another café. Well, not only is it ugly, it also makes no sense for characters to keep bouncing from one eatery to another.

What this show really needs is a major retooling. There should be a central location that naturally brings most of the characters together with a clear purpose. I thought the clinic might have been moving in that direction, until I realized there isn’t even a set for it yet, which is honestly baffling.

Another possible “hub” could be the ChelseaKat headquarters. Maybe Andre could work there regularly. Maybe it could function as a coworking space shared with Vanessa. Maybe Dani’s agency could rent a desk there too. I don’t know, something along those lines.

It’s crazy that a plot point these days is where Kat will live when we don’t even know where Tomas lives and her father’s been renting a hotel room for 1 year.

As for people comparing the show’s vibe to pre-Dynasty storytelling and supposing it’s deliberately moving away from the classic heightened melodrama of soaps, I actually appreciate that perspective. I hadn’t thought about it that way. The problem is that tension, conflict, and forward movement aren’t elements that belong only to post-Dynasty storytelling. They’re fundamental to all storytelling and have only been refined and intensified over time. We can’t pretend that Bert Bauer chatting in her living room would still attract millions of viewers today.

I really love Ted and Shanice. I honestly didn’t think I would but nuTed has zero chemistry with Nicole but has it in spades with Shanice.

The talks that Eva had with Mona about how she's made up for her part in what happened to Nicole/Ted also makes me think that eventually the Laura secret will come out... and her role in covering up the part her mom played in it.

It would be the exact thing that would actually cause conflict for Eva with her new guy and make Eva have to start all over again in getting acceptance and becoming a 'have not'.

I also watch GH, which I really like, but I find myself FF past certain characters.

What BTG really needs is a Jorn Winther or Jacqueline Babbin: someone who could come in, jettison what isn't landing and take what IS landing and kick it up a notch.
