I won't stone you, @Vee , but I'm still holding onto my idea of Bess Armstrong (aka "Patty Chase"/the First Mrs. Sheffield) as nuCarolyn.

It's a solid choice! As is Beth Chamberlin, my plan B.

Selena Wu -- one-note with a robotic voice for sure. No way is that her normal speaking voice, and why she thought that worked for the character is something I will never understand.

I have never comprehended that monotone voice as a character choice. I've seen a few clips of her speaking in what I assume is her regular voice and it's still robotic, but not nearly as bad.

But you know, she was sassy and evil for 5 minutes so we must keep her forever lol.

You already know what I'd do lol. But yes, people loved her for 5 mins 10 years ago and here we are with people still demanding 'more Selina!'* I am all for an Asian mob queen (and more AAPI characters period - they need to build that bloodline), just don't think she has the juice.

  • - I think that's actually the spelling, I flubbed it earlier.

You probably could have gone somewhere with Selina if the writers cared, but they don't. She pops out of the shadows every six months and slinks around being evil and disappears again. Tying her to Brad doesn't not help develop the character lol

Bess Armstrong! I loved her in everything!

Love that the Joss/WSB secret is finally out. Those scenes are strong with the ladies, but the camerawork in the first act with the close-ups are making me dizzy haha. I can't tell if it's intentional and I really like it because it adds to the intensity of the scene, or if it's an error/bad camera work.

Ok yeah, Laura Wright and the Joss actress are really killing it today - bravo!

NGL, whenever I see the name "Justine," I think first of Theo Huxtable's ex-girlfriend.

And IA: I wouldn't waste FL on that character, or vice-versa. You could introduce her (Tea?) as someone Justine attended law school with, but to cast her AS nuJustine? Sorry, @Rocket Man , but that's one more fuse you'll have to burn out there alone.

Whenever I see the name I think of Rachel's evil Swedish (?) doppelganger on AW. If only Victoria Wyndham was able to appear and terrify some performances out of Maurice.

As for Florencia, I did not care for Tea (although she grew on me toward the end), but Florencia was certainly a very dynamic actress. GH has many women in that age range who are dynamic and not properly used, but I'd be fine with seeing her get a good part on the show - I'd have her arrive as the one who ends up taking down Sidwell and his organization. Maybe we can learn that she is Marco's biological mother and that the reason Eva LaRue was a pill-popping homophobe is because she had to raise kids who weren't hers and were instead the product of Sidwell whoring around the globe.

That's not a bad idea. Shades of Isabella Santi! No stray waterglass this time.

Robert Newman had a contract role on Y&R a few years ago, as an emergency replacement for an actor who left suddenly. His character was eventually killed off. Unknown if that was the plan all along, and he was there to fill out the rest of the character arc, . . . or if TPTB decided later on to kill the character off after he arrived.

My point being: RN said afterwards that it was a strain to do this fulltime because he doesn't live in California and he missed his family. He prefers to do short gigs on TV and in theatre.

Ugh that story still horrifies me.

I can't remember if Frank has ever had Saundra Santiago on GH.
