“General Hospital” maintained its 1.3 rating among Households for the third consecutive week, marking the first time the soap opera has done so since April 2024.
“Let’s Make a Deal” surged to new season highs among Total Viewers.
“TODAY 3rd Hour” and “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” each saw a week-to-week surge in key demos, with the former up significantly among Total Viewers.
During the week of January 19-23, 2026 “TODAY 3rd Hour” saw the largest week-to-week gain among Total Viewers, up 171,000 (2.184 million vs. 2.013 million), and was also up +36,000 viewers year-over-year (2.184 million vs. 2.148 million). The news program was up by significant margins week to week among Women 18-49 (+0.06) and Women 25-54 (+0.11). With a 0.27 rating in Women 18-49 and a 0.46 rating in Women 25-54, the third hour of the “TODAY” brand ranked third in both categories, with year-over-year growth in the latter (+0.02).
“TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” continued to perform well in its second week, up +0.02 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.22 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and up +0.04 among Women 25-54 (0.35 rating vs. 0.31 rating). Compared with the year-ago performance of its predecessor, “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” the retitled news program, which now features Sheinelle Jones co-hosting beside Jenna Bush Hager, was flat among Women 18-49 (0.22 rating) and up a modest +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.35 rating vs. 0.34 rating).
Among Total Viewers, “Let’s Make a Deal” marked new season highs for both its second half-hour (2.745 million) and its first half-hour (2.271 million), up +137,000 and +75,000, respectively, compared to its performance one week earlier. Among Women 25-54, the second half-hour was up +0.03 (0.39 rating vs. 0.36 rating) while the first half-hour was down a mere -0.01 (0.30 rating vs. 0.31 rating). Compared with the same week last year, the second half-hour was up +0.02 among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and up +0.05 among Women 25-54 (0.39 rating vs. 0.34 rating).
“The Young and the Restless” maintained its week-ago 0.22 rating among Women 18-49, and remained the top soap in the key sales demographic for the second consecutive week. The show was up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.38 rating vs. 0.37 rating), but dropped -40,000 viewers from its performance one week earlier (2.954 million vs. 2.994 million).
“Beyond the Gates” fell back to last place among Women 18-49 (tie with “NBC News Daily”), tying its season and series low performance in the demo with a 0.12 rating. Though things greatly improved towards the end of the week, the soap opera was heavily impacted by an East Coast preemption on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 (see preemtions/schedule changes below), and, coupled with the special “Beyond the Gates: Inside Fairmont Crest” airing in place of an original on Monday, January 19, 2026, this likely led some viewers to miss that the show was back with originals on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Among Women 25-54, the show did a 0.24 rating, down -0.02 from its week-ago performance. Meanwhile, among Total Viewers, the series posted its second-lowest performance of the season with just 1.522 million viewers tuning in, down -129,000, and the largest week-to-week drop across daytime broadcast.
“General Hospital” fell below two million viewers after three consecutive weeks of reaching season high performances among Total Viewers, with 1.939 million viewers tuning in, while also setting a new season low among Women 18-49 (0.13 rating) when excluding ESPN on ABC sports coverage of the MLB Wildcard Series games back in early October 2025 (0.10 rating). Among Women 25-54, the soap opera was down -0.03 (0.23 rating vs. 0.26 rating). On the positive side, the show maintained its 1.3 rating in Households for the third consecutive week, marking the first time it has done so since April 2024.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” saw a week-to-week decline of -33,000 viewers (2.590 million vs. 2.623 million), with the soap opera flat among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating) and up +0.05 among Women 25-54 (0.34 rating vs. 0.29 rating), which marked its best performance in the latter demo in eight weeks.
The second half-hour of “The Price is Right” saw a week-to-week gain of +54,000 viewers (4.564 million vs. 4.510 million) while the first half-hour was up an impressive +101,000 (4.018 million vs. 3.917 million), with the first half-hour attracting its second-largest audiences of the season among Total Viewers while up +0.02 among Women 25-54 (0.52 rating vs. 0.50 rating), even with its year-ago performance in the key demo.
