Some really nice date scenes today with Ric and Liz @Taoboi. I’m not getting my hopes up though but I will enjoy whatever they give me with them.

Unlike many, I liked the idea of Nathan coming back while Maxie was in a coma and resuming his old life while she wasn't around. It felt different than the same cliched story that we had all seen on soap operas so many times.

But what you said was the problem. There wasn’t really a story to play because they intended Maxie be there the whole time. So it just stalled out, and instead of Nathan having scenes rebuilding like that was the actual story it just went nowhere.

I'm not at all against Dante staying as Police Commissioner. It brings his recurring issues about his professional life vs personal life re: Sonny/nowMichael to the forefront. And that story...especially right now...just writes itself.

I saw some rumors that it is a health issue but not specified. I hope she is okay.

As do I. So I will take it that Anna will be in France for the foreseeable future. And now Jason's exit storyline writes itself if he goes after her/Faison.

Thank you!! I knew about the dress, but I still was wondering if they would show it. So excited. BUT not too much. hehe.

And for all my shade at said story...THAT would have been interesting to watch. Nathan trying to rebuild his life while using Spinelli and James to play the 'Is it really Nathan?' angle.

Sidenote....that is part of the reason I loved Lulu's return story. It was more interesting to watch Lulu struggle with the fact that she was in a coma for four years and missed so much. From deaths to her children growing up to the love of her life finding someone and losing her. AB was selling that, and she did it soooo well. Even for scenes where it was clear it was not written on the page or the scene Lulu would be in. Even her vs BLQ as her second story had layers stringing from that angle. It was just sad that it felt like EK and CVE differed on that...perfering to go for a more straight-forward (or should I say slantedly written) story of a feud.

Nathan's return has been consistent with his last run. Nothing too deep; the actor just tries to be polite and emote empathy and lets his scene partners do all the work. There's nothing there, there's never been anything there, so not surprising the writers chose not to bother to explore anything.

If Nathan turns out to be the big bad, it ain't going to work. A polite, befuddled bad guy? They better be ready with the rewrites.

Note sure if a spoiler?
Friday Feb 20 is a tribute to Tony Geary. I think it's okay to say that much.
Mostly old clips but something possibly new with one actor.
it's a newly-created insert episode with "A" attached to episode number.
Just notifying in case anyone wants to record it for themselves

promo behind spoiler tag

Definitely did not have Sidwell and Willow teaming up on my bingo card.

So let me get this straight. The PCPD thinks Michael has Drew’s keys and just left it on his key ring this entire time. Chase is truly a fu.cking moron. The sooner this blows up in his stupid smug face the absolute better.

Lucas once again having to remind Carly the love of her life is a criminal.

Dear GH: The Chase/Nathan scene at PCPD easily could've taken place in the steamroom.

LOL at Laura saying Alexis would never abuse power. Other than stealing from your grandchild's trust, getting your son involved in Kristina's cover-up and holding Rick hostage for a month. Yeah, Alexis' moral character is far superior to Drew's. Ugh.

Carlo sure relished his scenes with JE! It's strange, but I enjoy his spin on the big bad. It's a lot more entertaining than having yet another dark, moody, blah character (e.g., Cullum). I kinda want Sidwell to stick around - word I thought I'd never type!

-- Chase is actually hilarious. Such an idiot.

-- Lucas pointing out to Carly that Sonny is a criminal was my favorite part of the episode. When he looked over his shoulder and pointed at Sonny, I howled!

-- Laura has the worst political instincts in the history of soap politicians. Wanting Alexis -- a disbarred lawyer who was in prison, among other messes -- to replace Drew is laughably bad, but so Laura.

The way politics are now, Laura's probably not wrong.

It’s basically slim pickings in PC who isn’t a criminal and/or murderer.

I loved that he didn’t even have to say anything, just looked over his shoulder😂. One day she will learn to stop trying to make every criminal seem worse than the man she was with off and on for 20 years, not to mention her bestie. What is this the longest Jason has gone without killing someone?

Luke the rapist was mayor. Alexis taking the seat is as good an option as any. But I am for Willow trying to take it.
