I thought I was the only one that was confused about Britt/Jason having sex to the point I assumed I missed a scene lol. Since it's Jason/Britt I didn't go back and rewind. I think the dialogue makes it seem like the show is still all in on the pairing, but that was a real nothing of a love scene. Idk, didn't Steve just get remarried? Maybe that's the problem.

Steve Burton and his wife Michelle Lundstrom are (or were) friends with Jonathan Jackson and his wife Lisa Vultaggio. The Burton/Lundstrom wedding last year was at an Eastern Orthodox Christian church. JJ and Lisa are longtime members of the Eastern Orthodox church. I was looking at all four of their instagrams around the time Burton married and prior months. Per the ig and some wedding articles, JJ (and maybe Lisa) was/were members of the Burton/Lundstrom wedding party in some sort of mentor role specific to the Orthodox tradition.

I don't know if that directly has anything to do with anything but ...

Very solid episode and the script was strong. Sensing a big build up from now until spring season as storylines are weaving, twisting and moving by along nicely. LOVED the following: 1) Anna/Emma/Felicia/Mac scenes especially Emma’s emotions; 2) Ric/Alexis/Michael/Willow. Willow reminds me of the bad Vicky Hudson played by Anne Heche and she’s really on fire. Rory as Michael, he is dreamy to watch and it’s amazing to see his version of the MC role compared to Chad D’s version (no offense). Nice to see Ric back. 3) Laura/Lulu scenes.

Ugh. Whatever.

So not here for Val's man pain.

Ok so wait, we're supposed to believe they transported Anna to France overnight during the winter storm? I'll go with it, but just seems odd.

I felt for Emma at the end, what a powerful scene.

Glad they're finally going there with Lulu and Nathan!

Poor NGL - sounded like she had a really bad cold today.

Pleased to see that Fizz, the breakout star from my new avatar, has returned. He is clearly very happy to be there (moreso than some of the cast) and elevates any interminable Sonny scenes.

As tedious and dumb as I find this story, Finola and Kristina's obvious connection elevated a lot of that material. Braedyn Bruner was also excellent as always.

I'm not really enjoying the Anna stuff. It's pathetic the blubbering mess they've reduced her to. I'd rather Faison really be alive, Anna face it cooly, and they have one final scene together where she cuts his throat or something. That would be memorable, and start to give Anna back the toughness and coolness she had back in the day.

Part of me is wondering if that is Alex, not Anna. It would be an interesting twist.

There are two big problems with that theory:

1. Anna told Emma to tell Jason that Faison was alive. I don't think Alex, Sidwell or Cullum would know that Jason is her confidant on this matter.

2. It was established back in the day that Emma is capable of telling Alex and Anna apart.

Oh gosh, did they turn Alex into a villain? Ugh. Interesting theory though! I'll have to go read up on whatever happened to Alex.

Now that I'm officially in February...

...yeah, that snowstorm was a bust for me.

I mentioned last month at the beginning of the year that I didn't like that GH had that one episode where it seem clear they were being clear on who was going to be the couples this year. Which in a way is good because our recurring discussion here has been where is the romance/couples at on an overall good show. Unfortunately, the couples in that episode were not any couples that I felt invested in...not helped by the slapsticky style these writers do and I've never liked. Jesus, where is the writer growth? Cuz it's there in other areas. JS. And what does it say that I'm invested in 2 out of the 7 (?) couples on display.

And even what romance we got...was off-screen or left a little too much to the imagination. Like Jason/Britt for example. I thought they had a close moment in the last month or two and finally slept together...only for the very next episode to say that Tracy had walked in on them so they didn't. Uhhhh...okay...then how about we SHOW Tracy walking in? Writer No-No 101...SHOW, DON'T TELL. Or ditch the block filming. sips tea

Honestly, I liked the build to it. But the only things that I felt invested in was Jason and Britt, Gio and Emma, and dare it say if Sydney Bristow I mean Joss was not hilarious...though I think that is because of Britt telling Jason the truth as Joss was with Random WSB Guy. I can even give Cody and Molly their props at the start of their episode before it descended into silliness/stupid obstacle a la BLQ/Chase (book = Linc). While their lovemaking was also off-screen, at least it was clear they were FINALLY sleeping together. I think we all know my issues with them, but I can give credit where it is due that it seem like progress. Silly me...it was just the writers' 'one step forward, multiple steps back' approach. Still...JK in them longjohns and I definitely don't mind his dad bod. Even with the silliness, I felt JK was giving something a little different in Cody, too...he actually seem really upset.

Sadly, Gio and Emma were in the background and then just vanished. That left me with only Jason/Britt so those episodes were just a struggle bus. Sidenote...THANK YOU for the Portia/Trina scenes. I was just saying 'where is Portia?' last week so that was well-timed. And their scenes and the actresses carried me through those episodes. Now Jason/Britt...I didn't like the abruptness of Britt almost dying off-screen. Cuz I had to sit and go...did I miss an episode? cough*blockfilming*cough However, I liked they started to act like the Jason/Britt I knew. And I was extremely happy Britt just told him the truth about just about everything from her death to the Five Poppies to Random WSB Guy. FINALLY!! Plot progression. And they 'might' have slept together, too. I believe it was said the other day that for a couple that started over SB finding taking off that shirt that if they did sleep together, that was chaste. But...this implied lovemaking has to cease.

As I said the other day...and Tracy forgive me...her scenes (just though cuz I love Tracy) with Martin...are now on MUTE. I can't. This should have been over long before the Ronnie storyline. It should have been over after the Ronnie storyline for sure. I'm not here for SPY VS SPY antics. And every time I see them together it's wacka wacka!!! NO THANKS. In my Dr. Jackie voice...I'm DONE WITH IT.

Lulu and Nathan was NO for me from the moment they started because Dante is RIGHT....THERE!!! Though I liked their conversation and whiskey, but honestly yes they are kindred spirits, BUT I don't feel Lulu would do this to Maxie. And while they might have a fanbase, I think Lulu/Dante and Maxie/Nathan are bigger. It just feels out of character on Lulu's part. Not to mention Nathan's slip about the father. So the 'Is This Really Nathan?' storyline continues. I see the dramatic potential of course of dead husband and BFF, but it just feels OOC for me so it takes me out.

Speaking of OOC...yeeeah another NO to Charlotte/Danny. Those writers are really and truly trying to erase Jake, aren't they? Which is whom she was attached to last. And I knew I was in the minority, but I was for that. And it definitely isn't as ewwwww as this is. They have a good recast in Charlotte so I would love to see her with Jake who also can act.

I don't need to go over my issues with Cody and Molly again so...

Well...I thought Chris was looking delicious in that buttoned-down shirt and bigger. As if that shirt was going to fall right off. And turns out...it did. LOL!!! That said...Carly/Brennan is just Dead Man Walking. And it's a HELL NO to Val/Carly. And I rolled my eyes at his manpaining over not being with Charlotte which was coming across weak for a Cassadine and co-dependence which is...okay...a Cassadine thing.

Maybe you all are right...duh lol...Michael, Willow, and Drew have been driving so much of the show that when they are not on...yeah...my interest is meh. Especially if THESE are the couples we got.

Speaking of driving the show...did the show really just give that superb cliffhanger with Anna and then NOT go back to it for about a week?
