ARTICLE: ‘General Hospital’ Alum & ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Star Tequan Richmond Signs With Eris Talent Agency For Representation

Tequan Richmond (“General Hospital,” “Everybody Hates Chris”) has signed with Eris Talent Agency for representation, Deadline reported on Wednesday.

Continuing to be managed by Richmond Hill Enterprises and repped by attorney Allison Binder of Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher, Richmond first made a name for himself playing the role of Drew Rock in the AFI award-winning comedy “Everybody Hates Chris,” which ran for four seasons (2005-2009), first on UPN and then The CW following a 2006 merger with The WB.

Following the comedy’s conclusion, Richmond made guest appearances on shows such as “Weeds,” “Detroit 1-8-7,” and “Private Practice,” among others. From 2012-2018, he starred as TJ Ashford on “General Hospital,” where he received three consecutive Emmy nominations for his portrayal.

Since leaving the daytime drama series, Richmond has starred in Hulu’s “All Night,” BET’s “Boomerang,” and AwesomenessTV’s “The Unsettling.” His earlier work includes appearances in “ER,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Cold Case,” “The Shield,” “Strong Medicine,” and “Numb3rs,” among others.

Among his film roles, he played a Young Ray Charles in “Ray,” the 2004 film that earned Jamie Foxx an Oscar for his portrayal of the adult version of the character. Other films include “Blue Caprice,” “Savage Youth,” and “Nowehere, Michigan,” among others.
