They condensed a bunch of crap into one episode and showed an entire day in Genoa City in the span of a few minutes. So dumb. They aren’t even hiding anymore that they don’t care to write an actual story. It’s just a bunch of random scenes stitched together. No lead up, no suspense, no nothing..

And I’m willing to bet this Matt stuff will be wrapped up in the next couple weeks and we’ll be expected to just forget about it while they move onto the Mariah storyline which will now involve Abby/Devon. Matt will be killed or put in jail and they will possibly keep Sienna around for Noah or have her hook up with someone else. There will be no pay off or even a single f*cking point to the storyline happening at all 😆

What was the logic in having Nick drive Matt to the police instead of Victor's security detail or the police?

It's either bad writing or deliberate writing to make us think these characters are idiots.

Daniel and Tessa - I actually don’t think the idea of these two being together is that crazy if it weren’t for that small little inconvenient detail that Tessa is a lesbian..

Tessa and Sienna were at Sharon’s place discussing her past today.. (surprise Sienna just HAPPENS to know another person in Genoa city from her past) but anyways, I did pick up on that little nugget the writers threw in there about ‘Tanner’ who is supposed to be an ex of Tessa’s that she performed with at bars. I can see they are already setting up a future triangle for Daniel and Tessa. Well the problem with that is, you should probably make sure the couple is working before bring in a third person for a triangle because right now they’re not. I think under different circumstances they could work though..(different writers, Tessa not being lesbian). I genuinely believe these two would f*ck the sh*t out of eachother in real life, and that’s kind of important when writing for a new couple.. so JG gets that one small part right, but as usual.. completely misses the mark for a multitude of other reasons..

IIRC, Tessa is bisexual. I've never liked Tessa but Mariah has been treating her like crap for months and her seeking comfort with Daniel isn't completely far-fetched.

This story with Mariah attempting to smother "Duncan" from ATWT would have been more plausible if Camryn Grimes was actually on screen as opposed to it being played offscreen and discussed once a month.

In 2026 CBS/Sony needs to FIRE JG.

No. Tessa is not bisexual. She had been married to her male manager in the past. She said that when she had a fling with Noah, it was because she was grifting or whatever but it's not who she is. (or something like that). She has flat out said "I'm gay".

Mariah has been shown as bisexual; but Mariah is clear that Tessa is her person.

So Tessa was married to a man and slept with Noah? Doesn't that make her sexuality 'fluid'? Stating that you're gay doesn't always make it so.

Why couldn't she connect with Daniel? Mariah has been absent for months and rejected her.

I have read on several occasions posters suggesting that characters who have been portrayed as straight should have a same sex relationship, so is it that absurd that Tessa, with her history, might get involved with a man?

I'm not defending Josh Griffith at all, his writing on this plot has been as awful as ever.

Wasn't Tanner on the show a few years ago, just when Tessa and Mariah were getting together? He showed up in town, and asked Tessa to rejoin him on the road. I believe he was also a singer and a former boyfriend or ex-husband. He lasted six-months tops, and then disappeared.

I feel bad for Tamara Braun. All of her scenes involve her reminiscing about the good old times with a random character.

I actually thought they might hint that Sienna and Tessa had been involved.

Yep, you're right. It's typical Josh Griffith -- he thinks this is the way to honor history.

He also thinks it should remind us that Tessa isn't gay.

I thought the Tessa and Sienna "Oh my God,I can't believe you're here!" scenes were cringe. All of it was cringe.

Just looking at characters birth dates . Christian was born Oct 2015 making him 10 yrs old. Just ridiculous that he hasn't been sighted in years.

With the customary SORAS he should probably be 15 or 16 by now.

Y&R has a viable younger generation with Connor/Katie/Johnny/Christian as teens and Faith/Reed/Moses now in early 20's.

Sharon/Nick/Victor/Nikki can step back to being involved parents/grandparents.

So, Christel Khalil's exit storyline has arrived: she is going to visit Mattie to get away from Cane.

Gosh, shifting from the Matt Clark storyline back to the AI one is such a drag. Majorly.

I thought Johnny was a teen in 2017 already?
