The Dec. 31 U.S. episode of Y&R will be preempted in some cities and replaced by CBS football, but it will fully air in other cities at the regular time or at an alternate time.
(It already aired in Canada on Global on Dec. 30)

It should become available via "cbs.com" and "paramountplus.com"

The show needs a huge overhaul with a fresh head writer, not one that's been recycled 100 times already, with new story ideas that focus on family and romance. Those endless business conversations would bore a coma patient. There's just no....energy on the show.

I feel bad for Billy Flynn. I think he actually has chemistry with CK, but he's been saddled with all the BLAH that is Cane. Not to mention, he looks about 15 years too young. If they ever bring back their kids, it's going to look so awkward.

It's truly turn into The Bored and the Middle-Aged.

I see problems on all the soaps, but none of them makes me angry. Y&R does.

I think I'm losing it, because I actually get angry watching this sh_it.

-- The only thing working is the Cane and Lily chemistry.

-- Daniel and Tessa playing guitar at CL on NYE -- all alone??? And AGAIN we get the story that Mariah doesn't want to see anyone? And no, it's not story advancement that works to have gay Tessa spread her legs for Daniel.

-- Kyle and Victoria spending the entire effing show talking to each other until midnight??? WTF.

-- Again, it's NEW YEAR'S EVE. Adam spends it with Sally at Society where NOTHING is going on until the ball drops? Sally's not with Billy and Chelsea is in bed? Are you kidding me?

Just finished it. What a stark reminder of what once was.

The number of different storylines running at the same time, every single scene scored with perfect music, the Chancellor mansion set being filmed from pool through to the living room, and the amount of storyline accomplished in 60 minutes. The number of characters appearing. The extras! The clothes. The sparkling jewelry.

They got more done in 60 minutes than the show gets done in 6 months.

I saw the picture and just shook my head.

I am never sure about Tessa's backstory. I know she was married to some guy before she was on the show. Is this one of those arcs where they said being with woman made her realize she'd never liked men, but now she does again?

Yep. It is so bittersweet to see the utter competence. A show still alive with creativity, and capability.
