Need To Know
  • Following the conclusion of the Friday, November 21 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” actress Lisa Yamada seemingly confirmed her exit as Luna Nozawa.
  • Luna “died” off-screen, with Deputy Chief Baker (Dan Martin) confirming she succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a car.
  • Yamada won the Daytime Emmy in October 2025 for Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series for her role on the half-hour soap opera.

Emmy Award-winning actress Lisa Yamada has reportedly exited her role as Luna Nozawa on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” following last week’s reveal that the character succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a car, albeit off-screen.

The news of Luna’s death was announced on-screen by Lt. Baker (Dan Martin), who, along with much of the fictionalized version of Los Angeles, was searching for the escaped convict throughout a lengthy chase scene that ultimately led to a supposedly victorious Luna getting struck by an oncoming vehicle towards the end of the Thursday, November 20 episode. The following episode opened with the news from Baker, who confirmed that the young vixen had indeed lost her baby while in police custody, something that might put many at ease, particularly members of the Spencer family, whom Luna had terrorized after she had previously assaulted Will (Crew Morrow).

“So many tears shed, blood spilled, friendships formed, and memories made on @boldandbeautifulcbs,” commented Yamada in an Instagram post published on Friday, November 21. “What a ride it’s been! Hope you enjoyed the adventures <3 #LUNAtic4ever.”

Yamada’s post went viral, and saw several of her castmates at the half-hour soap chime in, with Annika Noelle (Hope Logan), saying, “She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she is the moment. Missing you already, superstar. We still have to do a TikTok together! Come back and kidnap Hope anytime.”

“You’re an absolute warrior!!! To carry story the you way did, and command the screen is nothing short of amazing,” said Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton), who is also part of the show’s writing team. “To play the innocent ingenue, then the evil villain, to the broken character that just wants to be loved….. Chefs Kiss!! You’re amazing!”

“Thank you, Lawrence. You’re the best!! Wish we got more screentime together,” responded Yamada to Saint-Victor.

“Proud of you Rockstar ! exciting time! Many more incredible adventures around the corner. Enjoy tha riiiddee,” stated Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester).

“Wish I could have done more with you girl! They threw so much at you…so many words, so much emotion and you rocked it all,” said Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes).

Newly promoted executive producer of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Casey Kasprzyk, responded, too, saying, “Lisa, it’s not easy to create a soap villain that leaves such a lasting impact, but you truly elevated #BoldandBeautiful, making the audience love to hate Luna while appreciating your incredible acting talents. Thank you for everything,”

“Cool, so where am I?” joked Christian Weissmann (Remy Pryce).

“Come home, the kids miss you,” said Laneya Grace (Electra Forrester), to which Yamada responded, saying, “Don’t get too comfortable, sweetheart.”

Though indications by the show have the character dead for real this time, let’s recall that it was just a few short months ago that Luna was shot by Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and reportedly killed after holding several individuals hostage, only for it to later be revealed that she was alive and recuperating thanks to her grandmother, Li Nozawa (Naomi Matsuda), the miralce doctor who also saved her son, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who himself was reportedly killed after he too was shot, albeit at the hands of his birth mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).

Over the past year, it was revealed that Finn was Luna’s biological father, a result of his affair with his adopted aunt, Poppy (Romy Park), which took place when he was an emerging adult.
