It is obvious that @AbcNbc247 should win, he has all the letters in the alphabet in his name, perfect for Wheel of Fortune.

😂😂😂

I'm a little rusty though, I haven't watched since Pat Sajak left 😂

Damn. I guess Peacock fixed it this year, and Days is gonna continue to be uploaded at 6 AM.

But welcome back, Kate!

Even though she didn't have the biggest part in today's episode, I thought she was used pretty well. Philip asking Sarah to not tell Kate about Xander beating him up could lead to something interesting happening. It's been a while since Kate's really been on the warpath lol and that could also play into Philip and Xander's newfound closeness, which was on full display today again as well. I liked that Sarah was there to counsel Brady too.

Speaking of Brady, I loved seeing another parent lay down the law for their awful kid. Brady's little brat deserves everything that's coming to her. And although, I did sort of get the impression that Brady was written somewhat as the bad guy for preventing Rachel from going to see Kristen, I also think that that's not going to work, especially because Kristen and Rachel are just awful themselves. He still felt like an actual parent though, which IMO, is one of the best things that Paula/Jeanne has done.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for this One Stormy Night thing. It's definitely time to move on from this. I kinda don't even want to hear the name anymore. And we didn't really need Ari's perspective on Stephanie being the author either.

But I did think we needed Ari's perspective on Johnny and Chanel adopting Tesoro. I liked seeing another member of the Hernandez family absorbing the news, and that Aaron was there to comfort her. But if that was supposed to be a chem test or something, Idk. I still can't see the two of them as a couple. Marissa Reyes did a good job though, and actually so did Louis Tomeo. I think he's improved a lot since he debuted.

He and Tate were kinda sweet and dorky today too. I like their bromance 😊😊

I do have mixed feelings about the disciplinary committee possibly being the conflict for Tate/Holly though. I think you could get a lot more drama out of Sophia still being in their orbit somehow.

Poor Hernandez family

Acting wise, I think most of them did a good job. Al Calderon, Idk lol. But at the same time, I think there was something missing from all of their scenes today. We really needed to see them all bonding with the baby a lot more over the last few months, as opposed to just Javi and Leo bonding with him, especially since they're all so heartbroken by giving him up. But I enjoyed their scenes. Johnny telling Rafe that he's been like a father to him, and asking him to be the baby's honorary grandfather was really sweet. I really like when the show remembers Rafe and Johnny's relationship. But Rafe rubbing that in EJ's face was a bit of a dick move though.

And I hope that this isn't the end of the drama for all of these characters.

But yeah, Gabi hugging Leo?

Marlena and Paulina's scenes were OK. The two of them discussing her and John's anniversary, and how proud John would be of Johnny right now was nice, but I did have mixed feelings about Marlena counseling Paulina about Abe and Theo. I hope that they're not trying to make Abe the bad guy in that situation. But I did really like seeing them meet the baby, and that the baby is going to be named after John and Paulina. John Paul 😊

And, we got some talk about the gala and the dedication ceremony of the clinic, and who's coming back for it. I'm looking forward to seeing it, and what it all may lead to.

I will say I virtually stopped watching for about six months, but I have finally been getting back into the show. It does feel more grounded and character-based now. I'm looking forward to all of the (temporary) returns for the anniversary.

I know we're supposed to wonder if he's evil or not, but I REALLLY hope that's not the case with Jeremy as the actor feels like such a natural on the show.

I'm already over Stephanie's writing career though.

If the show INSISTS on using SH and Susan they could really have just burned some guarantees by having her be at the baby shower.  Is she too busy giving out premonitions to see her grandson's baby?  I am just going to assume Paulina and Marlena "forgot" to invite her lol.

Haiduk does not have guarantees, though; she is a recurring player, so she is paid per appearance. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, that makes even less sense the show feels the need to use her as Susan.

I enjoy Marlena and Paulina as two strong women.  But, I miss Kate and Paulina.  Remember when Kate was frozen, and Paulina carried her ashes around like Anna did for Tony?  I hope the characters still text, because they haven't seen each other in a while.

And we know who's coming back. 😍

I'm going to wait until next week to watch for the gala and the big returns.

By the way, as much as I hate Al's pairing on the show, he should have stayed at Days.

The whole Tesoro story, if you can call it a story, was boring from start to finish. No drama. Leo and Javi raised a baby for a few months then had to give him up. Dull. Kinda sums up the show.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rafe remembering how Johnny was at Tesoro/Trey's age was a continuity error right? Rafe didn't know him until he was at least a year old.

I actually like that Rafe immediately started with his foot on EJ's neck. EJ deserves no grace at any point from plenty of people, and it broke up the endless love and warmth of the episode with some mild drama.

Bring on the gala next week and all the returns to go with it!

3 months vs. 12 months is more forgivable than never mentioning Johnny lost an eye as a baby. I think Rafe was referencing general infancy.

RE: the gala, I hope Sami and Eric are carpooling from Europe.  I'd pay to watch the spin-off of the twins on a road trip to Salem.  I feel like we never got enough of their twin dynamic.
