Exactly.  It's even more clear in his above-posted video that respectfulness is his intention.

Oh I know he was but I was wondering if they were saying that to squash online chatter about him joining the show

I like Nicole and Carlton. Disappointed if that ends in favor of GV. GV is a great get though. Not only because he has a lot of fans that may tune in and give the show a chance, but he's experienced and a great actor with the right material. The show has gotten some flack for "newbies" (like Tomas, Derek, and early Martin) for not being able to act. This will up the show's game.

I'm curious how the show will shift into S2 when Pratt and Carlivati's hands aren't in it anymore. Fingers crossed that with some time now behind them, they can lean into what is working and weed out what is not. Sorry, Tomas, but looking at you. For a character that is in such a meaty storyline of Kat/Tomas/Eva, there needs to be improvement. It's risky, like replacing Ted, but I think it would be worth it if they are keeping this storyline going long-term. At the very least, hopefully Jacob's brother can act and he can replace Tomas in the triangle.

Lean into Bill/Dani, the Anita-Leslie rivalry, the Kat-Eva rivalry.

Let Jacob figure out the connections between his father, Marcel, and Joey. Don't make Jacob another "dumb soap opera cop". Let him and Donell get up in Joey and Vanessa's business. (Alex Cheeks is a good casting.)

Is that a dig at Days?

The big hot hire might be going to his head.😂

Gee, I can't imagine why a guy who suffered through working there for years would think Days is a mess. Whatever its ups and downs, it's often been a joke creatively for the better part of 3 decades and many of the actors were poorly treated in recent years.

💯 on this. Plus, let's be honest: his treatment at DAYS was never the best.

Which is a shame, especially when you consider how DAYS was once one of the more welcoming sets (at least, according to several actors who worked on the show during the '80's).  Al Rabin's decision to retire the second time truly was the end of an era for that show.

For context, he got shafted at DAYS because he was Nicole's love interest.

So, he is probably referencing the idea that if his prior executive producer had not been a professional predator, rather than an unprofessional manger.  He would still have a job as well.  Because, at the time of Eric's exit with Nicole, GV posted on social media (paraphrasing) regret that Eric had to leave Salem at the same time.  Indicating his contract was terminated expectedly/unexpectedly.

When the new kid on the block @thegreg_vaughan asks @colbynatasha about her story line. Opinions go flying!

Might I add, we take our stories real seriously over here lol
