LOL Silk Press Sheila and Hayley described as homewrecking thots. We know Dani was about to snatch the wig off Silk Press Sheila if Anita hadn't called.

Mona bible thumping is another point against her.. and considering she's not married, not in a relationship, nor has a child... Nicole nor any other married/divorce person shouldn't listen to her.

What exactly do you have against sweet Mona?

BTG continues to be the best dressed cast on daytime along with B&B.

I was SO shocked we got both of them! I hope it continues. Helps the show feel more full with the little side characters, especially ones that were so important to the early stories on the show.

Maybe she said more but all I heard her say was "it's in God's hands". For a soap opera written to reflect the Black community there are going to be some religious references here and there.

That said, you don't have to be married to ask someone if they are sure that they want to give up on their marriage.

OMG! Pllllease let this be the beginning of a new story for Nicole. lol.

Same. It's probably the Y&R fan in me, but I like having a stable set of side characters that pop up on a recurring basis. Just like old school Y&R, I hope they get their own little C plot side stories, too. Heck, I was just thinking watching today about if Laura and Donnell are roughly the same age.

-- I had no problem with Mona's "It's in God's hands" statement, but combined with her plea that Nicole forgive Ted, it was a bit much. Isn't she the same person who not only can't forgive Leslie but doesn't even want to talk to her?

-- I am curious about what Vernon is hiding. These Duprees are sure messy. 😂

-- So Anita and Dani had their talk in the living room but Vernon took Dani out to the foyer? To the FOYER? 🤣

-- It's always good to see real food on the soaps, but I don't think that breakfast food at Orphey Gene's looked good at all. In my mind, OG's has INCREDIBLE food -- a lot of it with a great presentation. That was not it.

-- Leslie was too extra again today. I like her extra, but not TOO extra. Jamey Giddens needed to ditch the headphones after that first scene with Leslie at the bar. Once she got to her table, the headphones made her look crazy -- and not in a fun way.

-- Eva knows her mother inside and out, but it's hilarious that she has no influence on Leslie at all. All she does is "OH, MAW-MA!" everything.

I want those cakes at OG's bad.

This is another classical influence on the show that seems very, very old school. (That's not a complaint) Just like a month or two ago where they had Anita receiving virtually every one of her children or grandchildren in turn in an episode where they all came by the house to talk about their lives and situations, these ritualistic scenes with Mona, Laura, Jan, etc. talking about the state of the canvas and storylines. It feels right out of the Irna Phillips playbook or maybe Bill Bell or Agnes. I may not care for Jan but this old staple sits well alongside the hyper-modern elements of the show re: candid talk about sex.

I didn’t grow up on the old soaps so it’s cool to hear some of the classic elements are right up my alley as a viewer now. Hopefully they keep it up mixed with the modern flare like you mentioned.

I know I was tickled when Dani said that.

Most def. More Have-Nots brunches and I loved that episode of Anita sitting down with her children and grandkids and great grandkids. It was such a clever way to get recap, POV for the characters, and also plot/character development.

I have always loved Nicole and I do think she is letting her pride ruin her marriage. Yes, Ted is an idiot, however, he treated Nicole like a Queen for decades. I think they should have separated for a bit but not divorce yet.

IA. She rushed this. This divorce happened way too fast. She literally just introduced it around Chelsea's kidnapping last month and last I recall was Ted saying he was gonna fight her in court as a tactic to delay things and now its finalized. HUH? Did I miss him signing the papers and giving up on fighting? Theres a whole beat to this story that feels skipped

I agree, especially when Nicole can see what Leslie is like. It would be good storytelling to see a couple try and work through something rather than head straight to the divorce court.

Not that I see much appealing about Ted 2.0. He is a good enough actor (probably better than MJ) but the writing and acting choices have made the character less compelling.

But having both sisters divorce in the first year is too much.
