At least she’s a lifer who knows a better Y&R. We shall see if this makes any difference with JG still head-writing.

I always wanna think news like this will make a difference for the show but I still think CBS/SONY are the real problem for this now being the way it is.

Nothing will really change since Griffith is still there and in charge of the "creative" direction.

Exactly. I think this is just a move to take some of the pressure off their one-stop shop.

Ultimately, it is a ratings/demos thing, as proven by previous regime changes, truly. If they continue to perform (and they have been), then the 'suits' have no need to change. I am seeing this as a positive thing.

With the budget/set situation I don't know what they can do to improve the look of the show.

And the uninspired writing is no help.
