In TWO FULL WEEKS, only 9 total sets have been used. NINE. Only 8 were used this week.

I've been tracking along in my head and noticed GH typically beats Y&R's daily set usage before their opening credits (they'll get to 6 or 7), and an episode runs as high as 10 sets, so that beats Y&R's two week total. Unbelievable. I knew it was bad, but this is WILD.

I agree. It's absolutely awful.

I started tracking, because in my head it felt as if we weren't getting many sets per day.  The results prove that the truth is even worse than I thought.

Port Charles actually feels like an actual city. Current Y&R feels like it has a population of 20 and 3 places to hang out no matter how old you are.

I appreciate your work in writing it out. It's almost like Y&R is gaslighting us into thinking this is normal for a TV show (that's not quite the correct term but you get my drift). It's good having it in black and white.

Maybe they blew the budget on the plastic maze and the train set...

The set situation seems to be worse than ever. My only thought is that there is some studio issue at the moment and they are limited-that it's a short term thing.

They are still at Television City right? Is some redevelopment underway that means they have less space?

I thought that the Newman Ranch and Abbott House were permanent so why not make more use of them?

Or maybe they are saving money for new sets for the upcoming 'LA Noir' story?

Whatever the case it is an untenable situation-made worse by Josh's idiotic business stories.

Is this show even worthwhile watching anymore? I read a couple recaps from this past week and it made my stomach churn….

I read the recaps then fast forward what I don't care about. When 90% is hot garbage, the time just flies by :)

They really don't seem to care. Michael just walked into Victor's office. Now they could have Victor talking to a secretary/assistant-'Micheal Baldwin, yes send him  in.'

Or an extra sitting at the desk outside Victor's office. They can have a few extras in restaurants so why not there?

But they show Michael walking past the empty desk into Victor's office through an open door. He could have easily come in through the closed door in a tight shot so we didn't see the empty foyer. But they can't be bothered.

Morale among the cast must be low. Surely they are aware of how standards have dropped.

The deaths of Damian and Chance really left me in the cold. This is the first time I’ve stopped watching Y&R for stretch since the summer of 2012 when the Victor/Sharon/Tucker insanity crap happened.

All that needs to be said.

This is the second time I stopped watching Y&R regularly. The first was when they foolishly killed of Hilary. Still one of the dumbest [!@#$%^&*] decisions ever.

Why don't you donate money since you're that concerned?

I've actually been thinking about putting together a gofundme for the show. It so clearly needs it.

We could also volunteer our time. Write breakdowns, be extras, and assemble sets for free!
