Lol!   I was laughing at Elizabeth just saying Willow dipped out on her shift.   Like Liz you are her boss?  Why aren't we more concerned about that from a business standpoint?   You can't just start losing nurses at this point.

She should lose Willow; maybe hire some competent nurses from the night shift. 😉

Oh, I would absolutely get rid of Willow or ask for another nurse like Sonny did.  They way Liz said it was so hilariously casual though.  Like I guess she's gone?  Good luck with your test results Lucas!

Lucas is gonna take 'em to the drive-thru window at Mercy and stop by Jack in the Box on the way.

Willow should go full socialite bitch. Even though people threw a fit when she first went into society/charity work last year under Mulcahey, which was a device to get her more involved with Drew and Nina.

Portia deciding to scrub in for Drew’s life saving surgery and the look on her face was PERFECT. I wonder if they’ll actually allow her to complicate things so he’s at least paralyzed if she doesn’t downright make sure he dies.

Haha!  Lucas was also non plussed.  I guess my patient is going to have to wait another 12 hours in the ER, but Liz-what's the tea on Willow today?

I'll be honest Willow being a teacher then a nurse then just deciding to be a stay at home mom/charity worker was sudden.  When PM decided EVERYONE needed to question their careers it felt odd.  I could see it as a more gradual transition for Willow.

Sasha going from "supermodel" to family cook was probably the worst though.

I remember when Liz used to work at Kelly's (RIP Bobbie but it will always be Kelly's to me) she would just regularly leave halfway through her shift and her employers never cared. I guess she is just paying it forward.

Beyond strange. It seemed to me like they had a big board up on a wall and decided by a random generator which headshots to move into each main character orbit.

I can't believe that it's been a year and a month since these new/old writers took over again

I also can't believe how they have managed to become watchable again in spite of their flaws, too.

Giving props where due.

I have to agree. This show was becoming ultra boring to me. Now, I'm looking forward to it again

Same. I would be more caught up and I am still waiting to get back to my three cliffhangers, but there's a limited time on a YELLOWSTONE binge I'm doing for a coworker around life stuff so lol. But the fact that I can't wait to get back to it just shows how more invested I'm in the show again...when I was downright furious a year ago.

One of the biggest flaws was they had no regular (for a soap) antagonism between the characters. Carly was defanged, friendly with Sam and Liz and the town confidant, they stopped doing real mob stories for Sonny, and all the characters were just kind of circling whatever big bad there was (Ryan, Cyrus, Peter, Victor, Hook/Esme). It was years of the blandest stories, no peaks and valleys, and everything felt stilted.

Sometimes there would be promising casting or even a story that was working and you could see Valentini’s infamous meddling and soon dropped stories, always followed by a re-centering of major story around one of the pets. The schedule/puzzle piece episodes together based production model was very apparent from day to day. From the time they recast Michael, it has been a huge improvement. Tracy hasn’t been this well utilized since the 1990’s.

There are plenty of flaws, missed beats, and pets always in story over characters that should have stories. And what happened with Lucky was ridiculous. But credit where it is due, they seem to want the show to be exciting and let the non-supervillain types have real conflict with each other.

I love all of that. Especially the bold.

I don't think I can forgive the Lucky return any more than I will ever like Laura (or Liz) as afterthoughts when there is plenty going on that should have them in story. But I do agree that the show is exciting for people having issues with each other that is not completely mob/supervillain related. And I'm happy for that.

I still think he wanted to fire her and others but we got stuck with a lot of that crazy job shít that went nowhere.

Probably.  Sofia Mattson is a beautiful woman but she's not a supermodel.  And then we double down on it all to make her Robert and Holly's child.. just to drop her.  It's hilarious because she was on the show for so long.

I hope Daisy enjoys those homecooked meals lol
