Because she won't and Frank won't take her off contract.  Which is nice for her and I think Frank is doing her a solid. 

But when Maxie is missing in a story about HER husband and father of her child it's glaring.  She isn't subtly missing from the canvas like Lulu was in her coma.  This story should be a Maxie story.  And I suppose we wait until Storms decides she can come back hopefully sometime at the end of the year, but no promises.  Mac, Felicia, the kid that plays James and maybe Spinelli have to do the heavy lifting here?  Fine, but none of these actors get the consideration that Storms does.

Nathan returning is on GH.  It wasn't necessary, but the show can't even play the proper beats without Maxie.

As far as Nathan goes, I don’t know how long his contract is for. It’s possible this timing was planned on purpose. Isn’t she supposed to be back shooting later in the fall? She did say her story was going to be exciting.

One thing I will say is that with the influx of Obrect and family, what happened with Lucky is even more egregious.

To me it's not a big deal she's gone or that she's no longer a lead.  It's the clear preferential treatment Storms gets to basically dictate her own schedule.  Many more important actors and vets have been canned for much less.

As you said, we can't figure anything out for JJ, but let's roll out the red carpet for KT and RP, who no one cares about.  Let's give Kirsten 16 years to move!!! But JJ has less than a year and very little writing.

Just outrageous. But that's what you get if you have baby oiled pecs and are from a family made up largely of FV/RC creations.

It would be one thing if it was the first time. But it's not even the fourth.

I saw someone tweeting about their disappointment with Monica's passing thus far. Some I have already said myself (they should have had flashbacks with old actors even if the parts have been recast). Some I hadn't thought of - like Anna and Felicia not getting any reaction. I didn't know that Monica was a bridesmaid for Robert and Anna (I can't even picture that).

I’ve been enjoying seeing how it’s effecting the Quartermaines especially Jason and Tracy. I figure this will be a situation like Bobbie’s death where we get the flashbacks galore come the actual memorial.

I'm pretty sure more flashbacks will be in the next two days, as they did with Bobbie's memorial eps. I'm giving them time for it - I haven't really had any issue with its handling so far myself.

It isn't for me, either. However, given the influx of the Obrecht clan and her place in it as a voice of reason (surprisingly), it does feel odd to me to see them all coming back and her not being there.

Exactly.  And the hopefully I will be back by November isn't promising.  I'd rather she said nothing at all then giving some lame excuse about moving. 

Doesn't Steve live in Nashville?  Or at least he did when he was with his former wife?   I never heard of him having issues showing up besides the vax so probably not the best example lol.  But my point is numerous soaps stars don't actually live in LA and plan around it and don't need a helicopter like Jensen Buchanan.  Does Kirsten need a helicopter to get her to set?

I mean when you put it like this...then why even start the story? You are completely right. I guess I was not playing attention or missed a few episodes, but Maxie is off screen and in a coma due to Sidwell? If she is not waking up any time soon, this Nathan story could have waited because with no end in sight...they are going to have to sccccccrattttch the plot. I liked RP, but he's not strong enough as an actor to do that.

 

They would have been better focusing on who they should be focusing on right now...MONICA.

Same. I was looking forward to it and I'm worried I won't even make it through Friday because outside of the scenes dealing with Monica, everything else on the show is making me see RED.

I don't think we know if Sidwell was behind Maxie's coma, but it's likely.  Idk, it seems like we could have moved Nathan back a few months, but I assume it's to prop Britt and not an actual story.

I did like the Lois/Tracy scenes today and laughed at Ned telling BLQ he had an affair with Monica.  Her, "duh, obviously I know that" response was funny.

They're probably starting the story because we'll be expected to indulge Nathan with Lulu or something as Frank drags out reuniting her and Dante vs. more of Queen BLQ.

I mean it could be Lulu again, but as has been mentioned Dante/Lulu are the money couple so nope. And I wouldn't do him with Willow, either. With our luck, he would wind up with Jacinta.

Ewwww...that's what GH needs.  Having Lulu sleep with her bf's husband while she's in a coma.  It will absolutely happen, but the show isn't even shy about how much FV hates the Spencers.
