-- I did not like today's show at all.

-- Isn't Samantha supposed to be 16? Why isn't anyone telling her she shouldn't be having sex, period? Before this, we NEVER got the idea that Samantha was ready for sex.

-- She wants advice from JUNE??? June who's been living under an overpass for years and has mental health issues up the wazoo? GMAFB. This is insane writing, and I do not believe for a minute that Samantha would ask June for advice on sex.

-- June is in training at Orphey Gene's? Then why no trainer/boss in sight, even when she broke an entire tray full of dishes?

-- I am glad to see June's like at the shelter is so good that she has perfect makeup and eyeliner. Oh, and that her teeth are out of a magazine.

-- The writing for Ashley and Derek continues to suck in every way. It's so bad it feels like an intentional sabotage.

-- And why is Shanice all up in Derek's business and warning him about how he talks to Ashley about his paralysis? Isn't Ashley a frickin nurse? Shouldn't she know?

-- I get the fun of having Leslie confront Anita and Vernon, but it's written like a cartoon. Why would they let her in the door at all, let alone into their foyer and then into their living room? They wouldn't.

-- Are we really to believe Leslie has the money to tear down a Georgia Victorian and then build another huge house? She doesn't.

-- Are we really to believe there's no HOA in and around Fairmont Crest?

-- Eva once again pushed out the door by her crazy mother -- and acting as if she has no clue as to what's going on....soon to again be shocked that her mother did something awful.

--  I hate it that Ted is sleeping with Leslie. To me, this is nail-in-the-coffin stuff. Yes, marriages overcome cheating, but not when it includes a person like Leslie.

-- Just let the Ted and Nicole divorce go through and stop talking about them as a couple. The writers have ruined them. Time for Nicole to hook up with Carlton and be treated like garbage from him.

I liked it better than you, but I totally agree with a lot of those points.

June...I was actually disappointed because it felt like getting back to Square One with her.

We know how I felt about Nicole/Ted/SilkPress and called that. Le sigh. And yes, her being Cartoon Leslie was not doing it for me at all.

Ashley - I like the idea of Joey as her dad but I also think they've missed the mark on developing Jan. Doesn't she work for the rich families as a housekeeper? Why do we never see that or see her as a talk to in that capacity?

Jan should have been the Dupree housekeeper. It would have better connected Ashley to the canvas and explained why she knows Andre or at least recognizes him. It also would have given Leslie a stronger motive for her friendship with Jan, because she knew she could get info on the Duprees through her.

I couldn't finish today's episode. I am way too tired and I knew it would be difficult to watch daily once I started work up again. But I need to say this, what in the hell was wrong with Nicole's blouse. It looked awful. It's like some inexperienced person tried to alter it and stitched it in the most awkward place. I couldn't stop staring at it.

Then Mama June popping out in her early Alicia Keys headscarf.

It all felt too weird.

Eva you shouldn't have blabbed to mommy that Ted was intoxicated. Now Silk Press Sheila has taken advantage of that situation. At least Silk Press Sheila didn't drug Ted.

June's just being human, though. I never was a good waitress and even when I last tried, in my mid-40s, I was terrible at it. It is NOT easy, and I have several college degrees.

As for Nicole/Ted/SPS, I think SPS may pull a Nola Reardon (just without a pregnancy). He will probably stop and she will claim it went all the way (because he's wasted).

Hm.

Like I said with the recast, clearly aiming for a more traditional soap triangle with Nicole/Ted/SilkPress.

Meh.

I don’t even see a triangle if we’re being honest. Nicole can barely stand Ted and the second Leslie brags about banging Teddy Bear again, she’s never looking back at Ted.

I really could live without ever seeing June again. Easily my least favorite story and character.

I’m glad Shanice is already onto Derek. Please get her out of the hospital more and away from the black hole that is Derek and Ashley. Please

Now that she's in her 30s, Samantha ought to go ahead & get her cherry popped.

I'm not sure how Shanice knows Derek's legs are recovering.  Their physical therapy seems focused on stretching a band with his arms.  The fire department must have a good health insurance plan to keep paying for that hospital room.

Interesting points.

I have to say I am a bit dismayed with some of the story decisions. like Leslie the instant gazillionare. They seem to be ignoring some beats that would, to me, add interest and depth.

Like I get that Leslie would start spending like there's no  tomorrow but there should be a scene with the trustee or whoever to alert her that it's not a bottomless pit.

And stories like June's  journey, which was ill timed and seems to have has zilch dramatic consequences. The twins just accepted her. June's struggle to get her life back together would have provided months of story, with it's ups and downs.

The lack of family connections eg June's arrival into the teen's life was all Naomi and Jacob. Vernita, Ted and Nicole should be all in on this.

As for Samantha and the never seen before guy who she fell for on his first day on the show... and what happened to her brother's love interest?

I hoped that once the show was airing episodes already shot, they would tweak some stuff, but they seem to be continuing on the same path of random story points and questionable plots.

The potential is still there and I want BTG to improve.

Amen on every single point. I can't believe someone else is thinking the exact things I am. I just finished watching and I literally can't disagree with a single sentence.

IMO they need immediate help with the writing. This is just so mediocre... Some of the worst soap opera cliches and bad habits that have blossomed in shows like Bold... are starting to thrive here too. The time has come where I find myself watching this show laughing and cringing and that's not a good thing.

They are especially unbalanced from day to day. There is still time to save this show before it turns into the sequel of The Bold And The Beautiful. I just hope MVJ and her team do something about it in the next 6 months. I am done with saying it's only growing pains.

There are actual pains at times that need to be addressed.

To add to the June part, she seemed to have left on good terms with her sister the last we saw. Considering she seems to be trying to turn her life around, I thought it was weird that she said she was back at the shelter. I would think her sister would let her stay with her while she got her life together. I know every family is different and clealry there was a lot of history between them, but it just seemed like an odd choice.

She's good at her job and very perceptive. She knows Derek especially in relation to Ashley and can sense some BS with their current situation. Its intuition on her end. She doesnt know his legs are recovering but she highly suspects it based on her experience

Yeah, that whole "Moat & Bridge for Trollin" speech seemed designed for Vernon & Anita to get her ass ousted from the country club, which she'll be ENRAGED about when she finds out.  But once again, she'll have another ace up her sleeve, thanks to spending the night in Teddy Bear's hotel room.
