I truly enjoyed the interview with Sheila Ducksworth. She's articulate, intelligent and very charismatic. The interview was informative and a good use of time.

Apparently, I'm in the minority, but I love RB & GR 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I love RB and GR too. Soapy seems to be very successful so far so obviously many people love them.

I didn’t know much about Sheila Ducksworth before this interview. I loved her immediately and her enthusiasm. I’m a new fan of hers thanks to this interview.

I also love love love Budig. I want to be her friend, I think she and I would get along so well. I like Rikaart too, and I love their friendship, but sometimes he rags on her a little too much where it becomes cringe. It's cute in smaller doses.

I finally watched the Deidre Hall episode.  Unpopular opinion I'm sure, but it seemed like it was a chore for her that she didn't want to do, which took me out of the interview. Of course she loves Rikaart, but her overall demeanor and even her 'joke' at the end that she won't be back just didn't sit well with me. You could also tell she didn't like talking about how wacky DAYS can be. She didn't answer that 'most wacky storyline' question when both RB and GR asked. She brushed off the obvious answer of her possession/excorcism, but clearly she didn't want to give an answer or talk about it. She does look great for her age though and I'll forever love Marlena Evans.

The Sheila Ducksworth episode was great. Sheila seems like a genuinly nice lady.  I love that it was ~20 minutes longer than the last two episodes!

I'm beginning to understand that this is their perception of a podcast - lexicon interview-type of sit down where everything is safe, CBS-proof and friendly as f-ck. Nothing wrong in that. But it lacks the spontaneous and more spicy nature of what I think makes a podcast... a good one.

P.S I loved Sheila! What a smart cookie!

Yes, this podcast is heavily advertised on CBS during actual commercials. I think I even saw it advertised in primetime during Big Brother. It's definitely a corporate produced talk show/podcast. Nothing wrong with that but it's just different than a more independent podcast.

I am enjoying "rewatch" podcasts of various older shows. The actors show scenes from shows they were in many years ago, and then discuss the episodes.  I've seen some StarTrek ones, some about the original Charmed series, and also from HomicideLifeOnTheStreet.   These are more interesting (to me) because they are talking about cancelled series (and in the case of StarTrek, prior series), so the hosts and guests can be more frank and direct.

I would love something like this for the soaps and CBS could actually do it since they have the rights to the old clips.

That's the same impression I'm getting. I'm rolling with it, because of the guests. So far, so good.

You are actually giving me idea to start listening to these type of podcasts. I think there is one about the ladies from SATC (Sex and the city) revisiting the classic episodes. I have to find it. I remember seeing a youtube video about it somewhere.

Are you a Charlotte is the one Kristin Davis is doing talking about SATC.  She's had some interesting episodes already.

I've listened to some episodes of the podcast discussing Ugly Betty, Step by Step, and The middle.  Some are decent and some get too gushy.

I'm hoping 'Still the Place' returns from hiatus so that the women can get into discussing season 2 of Melrose Place

Yes, it sounds like this is the one. I have to check it out. Thank you for clarifying the title. I'm so lost in finding media... in the sea of podcasts, interviews and all kinds of stuff coming about about SATC-AJLT lately. I can't keep up. 😂

July 10, 2025, Michael Fairman interviewed a bunch of Emmy nominees
in a live stream that lasted three hours and 26 minutes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2AvlYn9_dA
Greg Rikaart comes on at 57:19.

Before discussing his Emmy nomination, they discuss the Soapy podcast.

Rikaart:  We launched this week, and it was a really big success, and it's been a lot of fun. We did 13 episodes.  Well, you know, it's fun talking about . . .

Fairman: Now you know what it's like to do interviews.

Rikaart:  Well, the learning curve was hard and fast. You realize that what you do is hard work. The amount of work we have to do leading up to an episode surprised me.

Fairman:  And you shot them all -- the first 13 -- in probably limited amount, a tight amount of time.

Rikaart: We did. We shot three shows a day for three days; and then our last day was four episodes which was -- that was a humdinger, that was a lot of work.  Because they're not. . .  they're edited down to about an hour, but some of them have gone *way* longer.
