Alright so cats out of the bag.. Dumas is indeed Cane.. and as much as it PAINS me to admit this.. Billy Flynn and Christel Khalil seem to have chemistry. I still hate this storyline. 

 

It’s super odd that Adam and Chelsea aren’t in France with the rest of the cast. I wonder if it has anything to do with Mark Grossman’s two ex-girlfriends being there. 

Y&R is *not* on location. Those scenes are filmed at the studio. I think it has more to do with Adam/Chelsea being siloed probably due to contract guarantees. This may explain why Victoria also isn't part of the Dumas reveal. 

And it would also explain while the Cole Illness storyline is off-screen right along with Victoria, too.

Oh I never thought they were on location. I was hoping it would be on location in the beginning but that was just me being naive. I just don’t get why Adam and Chelsea aren’t in the group scenes with all the other actors.

-- Why are they walking around that maze in the dark? And why does Kyle think a maze is a perfect place to look for wi-fi service?

-- The maze was interesting for one day, but since they built that set, we have to see it for a week so that it comes off as a ridiculous joke.

-- Phyllis has a panic attack. Damien is claustrophobic. Such storytelling!

-- So because Audra has a fragrance that smells good, Kyle thinks Jabot is in trouble? LOL

-- Why is Diane wearing coasters on a string around her neck?

-- I'm glad Nick got through the maze. Maybe tomorrow we can again hear him talk about food for the entire episode while shoving it in his mouth.

-- Kyle said "This place is gorgeous." OK then.

-- On the other hand, Billy Flynn looks good.

Pretty mouth.

They are all acting so amazed at the surroundings.

Like aren't they millionaires? Shouldn't all this be pretty normal for them?

They could head off to the South of France or wherever, whenever they wanted.

And these corporations that they are forever discussing seem to be forgotten.

Billy Flynn does indeed look hot. And looks good with MM.

If they'd had Cane swan in with Hilary herself, I could forgive a lot of sins.

So Y&R lures a popular actor from days and has the chance to create a new character with no baggage from past storylines who could provide some freshness for a show burdened with long running stale characters.

May I introduce myself? Brooks Prentiss-Victoryou must remember-you tried to steal my father's company?

But what do they do? bring back a character that hung around for years in a series of awful stories until they finally bit the bullet and dropped him.

Now it's back to the same old same old.

Hopefully this is the move that gets Josh Griffith fired.

You're not wrong. The SORAS is even more crazy than Tucker, where TSJ had very visibly aged since OLTL.

Look at today's show. A dozen scenes of Danny sitting with Daniel at a table in Society -- not moving, no activity. It was all about Danny possibly marrying "Cricket," as if that matters. This is a couple we see for 3 days every few months.

Then we get Mariah separating from Tessa -- and not telling her why. Who does this??? It's just terrible soap.

He's a complete curse. The show is creatively dead. Nothing compelling happens.

But this started way before Griffith. Though Y&R has been rotting since 2006 after Bill Bell died, it's been completely stale since JFP took over in 2013. It's only been getting successively worse since then.

The only bright spots have been anniversary episodes with classic scenes, rebuilding the Newman Ranch, and classic episodes on holidays.

This DeSORAS is absurd. I’m assuming this retcons all of the Phillip/Cane history and it will never be spoken of again. It makes it more ridiculous with Goddard actively being on GH right now so if you watch both shows you’re just slapped all the way in the face that these two men played the same character 🤦🏽‍♂️

The explanation of how cane managed to secretly amass this fortune should be interesting.

And will Mattie and Charlie have any relevance,apart from a passing comment?

All the previous regimes burdened these characters with children that Josh ignores-Christian, Johnny,Katie,Mattie,Charlie,Scott,Fen, Faith,Reed,Noah.

Wonder how Daniel Goddard feels about Cane returning as a major player when he was dropped and not asked to return?

I'm terribly disappointed where the AD story is going. BF is a very talented and handsome actor, but his casting reminds me of Maura West, as Diane. I am going to try and give BF the benefit of the doubt, but I have ZERO faith in JG.

The previews for next week talk about Chancellor industries and Chance and I’m just wondering where Jill falls into all of this. Is she dead? Is that why they’re making such a big deal over Canes return? There is SO much storyline potential that could come with Jill dying and I wouldn’t exactly hate it if that’s what Jess Walton wants. I just would hate the idea of JG being in charge of the story. It does seem odd that Jill hasn’t been involved in this storyline at all.
