She had a recent interview where she discussed in some detail that she had a hard time when coming back for her last visit/stint in the late 2010s.. and she realized that because she had been away from acting for so long, that she couldn't control her ability not to over-act.

She also said she lives 3500 miles away, has animals, and a life that she would have to make arrangements for in order to make appearances on the show.

So I don't think we'll be seeing her again on DAYS for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for finding this. I don't think Patsy was ever the best actress, but she had a real earthiness and intensity that made you care - there was never a phoned in moment with her. I can imagine the heavy taping schedule with no time for rehearsal or anything else just worsened her fears. This was probably one of the last believable times for Kim to return, with John's death and Bo waking from his coma, so I doubt we'll ever see her again. If that is Patsy's choice, I can respect her wishes, even if I wish we'd get one last goodbye.

At this point, I’m just gonna believe that there was another section of mourners behind the camera 😂

And that was where Will, Ari, Maggie, Sarah, Stephanie, etc. were supposed to have been sitting.

A Will/Javi pairing could lead to some pretty good drama 😂

Will is Marlena's grandson and should have been next to or behind her.

They really need to clean up Javi by cutting his hair and shaving his facial hair. They are probably trying to make him look older for Grandpa Leo.

Congratulations, Bo and Hope!

Today was a love letter to the two of them, and their love. And the fans too. Having the majority of the episode be focused solely on them was the right decision. It almost felt like one of those classic soap events. The throwback to Oak Alley was really nice to see as well. And, yes Bo. The Horton house is the perfect place for you and Hope to remarry.

And while I still think that there’s a place for them to be on Days full time, I don’t mind them sailing off around the world again. They’ve definitely earned their happily ever after, away from the drama of Salem lol

And, it was a real treat seeing young Tom and Alice again. I honestly thought those flashbacks had been erased from existence. Once again, the actress playing young Alice really stood out. But I’m not really sure about that flashback where young Tom was so horny 😂😂 Was it necessary lol

Well, I suppose it does provide a genetic explanation for Doug III being so randy.

Doug III isn't genetically related to Tom and Alice, who are Hope's maternal line.

Doug III is currently written as genetically related to Hope's father Doug Williams and Rebecca North LeClair.

Darn it! Thank you. For some odd reason, I thought the "III" represented the third generation, as opposed to a direct grandson. I thought Doug III was Steve Olson's grandson.

I think we’re all happy for Hope that she didn’t have to pin this thing to her head again 40 years later. (It looks painful)

Also, I liked the Steve episode on Monday.

But it's teetering on the edge of too much. And as much as I don’t love Cat or Doug3, I’d kind of like to get back to more pressing concerns than a full week of flashbacks.

That said, I do enjoy that Aaron and Cat now share a genetically inherited goofiness. It's an unexpected but welcome Greene family trait. We never really got to see that side of Dr. Mark—and everyone seems to have forgotten about him anyway.

I’m curious about the choice to make Javi a paramedic. I assume it’s a way to get him into more hospital-based stories, but that character is still paper-thin.

It feels like with Javi and EJ, we’re inching toward making the hospital matter again as a workplace. I’m into that. I also like the idea of GabiChic, and I hope we still get some fashion-driven content out of it (pun very much intended).

It was so weird. I've wanted to edit the 2-21-24 episode which is Young Tom & Alice and Julie, Doug, Maggie, Lucas, Chad, Thomas, John & Marlena with Leo learning the history of the Horton family in Salem & Thomas accidentally causing the time capsule to be found & the ornaments being found safe in the basement or somewhere. Never had the time so I finally just made the time & then, Voila, the show/Peacock decide to use them, basically out of the blue.

The other episode I had on hold like that, that I also just made the time & did it, is 7-29-24 which I call Eric & Nicole A Love Story. That thing has a little over 2 minutes, non-stop through about a dozen flashbacks!

At first I thought, "Another episode of flashbacks?" But within minutes I was caught up in all of it, and I really thought it was a magical hour of Bo & Hope.

THIS is a soap love story for the ages, and those flashbacks let us see the how and the why. We had two beautiful people with endless chemistry, I know that. It was impossible NOT to want them together.

I thought it was a beautiful episode, beautifully done. Te other soaps should take note.

I didn't mind all the flashbacks but I actually hated the episode.

Finally, some follow up with Marlena.

In those scenes, we were still feeling the heartache that Marlena’s feeling. I couldn’t help but get a little emotional when she took out John’s Yankee cap. But I’m curious now, I know Drake was a Yankee fan, but did John ever mention the Yankees at all?

I’m glad that Belle was there to comfort Marlena too. Their talk about John, and about Belle’s feelings for EJ was nice. And even though I’m not really sure about Belle going back to EJ, I like the mess that she’s in. And I thought that she was used effectively with Philip today as well. Her being determined to prove that Philip is lying about Xander could be pretty interesting. I hope Shawn is weaved into all of this too somehow.

Speaking of Xander, I enjoyed seeing him and Sarah go head to head again. They work so well together, even when they are mad at each other. And I think he and Philip work pretty well together too. I hope that this isn’t the end of the drama for them though, especially since they’ve decided to not tell Sarah that Philip was the one who ratted her out. There’s still so much that they can do with the three of them, and Alex and Stephanie too.

And, I like that we also got some follow up with EJ’s shooting. I understand them putting this storyline on the backburner due to John’s death and Bo’s return, but now it’s time to kick it into high gear lol EJ seemed very sincere in his scenes with Johnny today but I still can’t help but think that he has an ulterior motive, like he’s trying to manipulate Johnny or something. And I’m glad that the mystery of the memory card hasn’t been dropped either.

And seriously, poor Chanel. She can’t get a break. Raven Bowens is still killing it though.

I’m hoping that Javi becoming a paramedic gives him more layers. And gets him out of that bubble that he’s stuck in with Leo and Gabi.

Loved the way they wrapped up Bo and Hope’s story 💔➡️❤️
Glad Jack & Jen, Shane & Kim, Steve & Kayla all got their happy endings too. Feels like the right time to say goodbye… maybe we’ll see them again for the 60th, but their Salem days are pretty much done. That said… the budget cuts really show. Feels more like watching a stage play than a TV show sometimes 😅
Soap operas really are a dying genre. Bittersweet, honestly.

that song in the finale montage felt like a total miss. Like… this is the epic closing of Bo and Hope and that’s what you pick? 😬 They should’ve played “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” - it’s their song, it would’ve hit so much harder emotionally. Probably was a copyright issue, but still… fans deserved that moment. One last proper tearjerker!

It was mostly a treat for me, too, but there's one thing that bothers me: Macdonald Carey had a distinctive voice, and we still hear it on the Days introduction. Young Tom's voice doesn't sound anything like Carey's voice to me. I find it difficult to believe they couldn't find anyone who naturally sounds reminiscent of Carey or can make himself sound somewhat like him.

The backstory of Doug III's dad's conception in the 70s was interesting (Doug III's dad was conceived via IVF)... and I'm glad the show in the few years has been going back into the history to resurrect some stories/character threads.

Chanel is a wonderful example of the classic female ingenue/heroine of yesteryear.. and her popularity shows that this type of character is as welcome in 2025 as in the past.   All one needs is decent writing and a strong actress to play that type of character.

Idk. His voice sounds pretty difficult to imitate 😂😂😂

And we've definitely got that in the last few months. I love how she and Johnny have been moved to the frontburner.

That's where they belong.
