Ugh Liz is so going to cut out Ric entirely when she finds out what heโ€™s been up to ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Iโ€™ve so enjoyed how much the show has played that relationship since he got back into town, even while having him involved with Ava who is probably a better match for him.

The ONLY thing I donโ€™t like about Brook Lynnโ€™s revenge against Lulu is that Rocco is a minor, a kid. And heโ€™s not even one of these wise beyond his years kids or a smart aleck. He is a perfectly normal 16/17 year old. This isnโ€™t Spencer vs. Ava, this is a boy who is about to get his world turned upside now by a woman who is typically kind. It makes BLQ look petty not engaging in righteous retribution.

Iโ€™m not even sure this should result in the reaction she wants. Dante and Lulu are still his biological parents and it should be perfectly understandable to the sweet, sensitive Rocco why they might not have wanted to reveal this to him, the circumstances sound very traumatic. Does Lulu not have something else in her history to pull from? And does BLQ realize that this will makeโ€ฆeveryone hate her? Beyond Lulu and Dante wanting to kill her, Gio especially will be pissed.

It would be great if they go through all this soapy angst for the drama, but then eventually conclude that families are who you love and not the birthing process or the genome.
You know, modern times, families are combinations of people who love each other.

They really can make soapy moments out of just loving one another.ย  It doesn't have to be saccharine sweet.ย  There can be drama and angst like any family.ย  ย But the obsession with genetics and surrogacy secrets seems so outdated to me.

Didn't Jason and Dante acknowledge that their sons are brothers even if not genetically?

Rocco is old enough to know that the process of conception/birth that brought him into this world was convoluted, but his family loves him just as much as if he was born in a conventional manner.ย  ย Modern teens (and even modern children) are aware that children come to families via all manners of IVF, etc, surrogacy, adoption, fostering, etc,ย as well as stepparents bringing stepsiblings into a blended family.

I think it would be interesting if Brook Lynn exposed Lulu's abortion, but that would probably be too villainous.ย  Both Charlotte and Rocco were born in wonky ways so I am not sure why Rocco's conception/birth is more important than Charlotte's.ย  Probably because Rocco is the cooler kid, but I don't think GH agrees with me on that lol.

I remember a scene last year on Y&R where teens Lucy Romalatti, Johnny Abbott, and Connor Newman talked about their convoluted conception/adoption chaos, and it was absolutely no big deal.ย  Johnny and Connor had thought they were cousins but had recently learned they were half-siblings and one met his bio-parent, and it wasn't an issue.ย  They shared this with Lucy.ย  They mentioned it like a "whatever".ย  Just weird quirks shared, and laughed about, and then they went on to discuss other teen topics.
No more different than mentioning as an aside whether my family lives in an apartment or a house, or what type of music my dad likes.ย

Some might say "but where is the drama? "ย  but I liked that they reacted like modern teens.ย ย
I mean if the parents on the show want to clutch pearls, whatever, but the kids shouldn't really care in the modern age.

Yeah, exposing the abortion would just make her plain evil and the only way the fallout from that could have any impact on Rocco is if they had built him up as deeply religious.

I think GH has forgotten that Valentin's Monster even exists. I don't quite understand why they had Lulu work so hard to get her back if they weren't going to feature her. I would've had Charlotte tearfully tell Lulu she's staying with Mi Papa or whatever and just kept them on the run. Did the show feel that Lulu couldn't move forward knowing her daughter is out there somewhere? I get that. But still.

There is very little reason for any of this to upset Rocco. His parents are still his parents, this was a crime committed against them, he's been on their care since he was 7 months old. They should have dug a little deeper to find something that would upset Rocco or hurt Lulu.

The sick fรบcking conservative thing this show has promoted for over a decade, going back to the Carlivati years, is the idea that if a child is grown inside someone's womb or anything weird as shรญt like that, then the sperm donor, carrier, whatever is somehow inherently valid as this child's parent and is entitled to some aspect of a 'relationship' with them.

Let's be very clear: Valentin Cassadine stole Lulu's embryos or some shรญt and had it fertilized himself to create Charlotte. Lulu had no consent or knowledge in the creation of a child with him, yet Lulu is expected to be deeply connected to this thing. Meanwhile, Britt Westbourne and her mother deliberately stole Lulu and Dante's child, implanted him inside Britt, and raised him in secret for months under a false name as part of a massive conspiracy involving Faison and the Cassadines. Then when they got caught they whined and connived about it for even more months.

Lulu should be repulsed by what Valentin did. Britt should have absolutely no connection to Rocco or relevance in his mind or his life. She was never a mother to him. She had no real part in giving him life. And I'm so tired of GH playing this Christofascist-adjacent games.

I am convinced the only reason she's still tied to Lulu is to keep the door open for JPS to return at any time and keep him relevant. Frank adores him.

In other news, I am glad they finally accepted that Gio is a sexual being and should be undressed most of the time.

That sums up what I was trying to say more succinctly! LOL.

It's really sick the number of convoluted, violating and just plain weird pregnancy stories Lulu was apart of, all the while never carrying to term herself. I'm glad I missed all of that because it seems like for 5 years the only thing they could write for Lulu and Dante was absurd baby shenanigans. This is what your hot, young couple was embroiled in in their late 20s?

I think the next baby drama we're in for is Portia or Jordan getting knocked up. We'll ignore that they've both been in who's the daddy plots already and that both should be in their 50s.
